Lillian

"Bianca... Where the hell are my clothes?"

She paused for a moment, an amused smirk flashing across her face before her expression turned sombre again.

"Xavier found you in the forest Lil," the siren hesitantly begins. "You were covered in blood and ice cold."

Ice cold?

That should be impossible, I'm a dragon for god's sake. We practically run a fever 24/7.

"Lilly, did something happen." Bianca whispers and the paintbrush stops. Xavier is still hidden behind the curtain covering half the space and I glance to the open side, looking at the small candle.

What do they mean?

"If you want Xavier can leave." Bee whispers, voice soothing as the sound of hasty packing echoes through the room.

You were found naked, covered in blood and fearfully trying to escape a man

Yeah that's not going to look good. I swallow heavily, thinking back to what Sebastian did. What he had said and what I did in retaliation.

"It's okay," I murmur comfortingly but I hear the door to the shed and close swiftly, "Nothing happened."

"Nothing?" Bianca arches a disbelieving brow. "That was a lot of blood I wiped off you for nothing."

"I- I think," my stomach rolls at the thought, unable to accept what I did. "I think I killed something."

"Something." Bianca prompts.

"A- a wolf. A Dire wolf."

"A dire wolf?" She demands and I wince at her agitation. "When the council hears of this-"

"I know. I know." I mutter, tightening the jacket around me. "Dire wolves are sacred to the werewolves, there will be consequences if they find out."

"Severe consequences after what happened." Bianca reminds me and we both pause, our minds drifting back to last year.

"I met her." I frown in confusion and Bee rolls her eyes. "You're sister, Wednesday."
She seems to savour the way my sister's name falls off her tongue, dragging out the sound as she reads my expressions.

"She was exactly as you described." An amused snort escapes Bianca before she can stop the undignified noise and I can't stop my smirk of amusement. She scoffs and swats my arm before calming down again. "What happened last night, lily? The full story this time."

I swallow heavily, pausing at her question to think over my words.

"I remember the plant, the gift from Miss Thornhill. Then everything went black and from there on it's just flashes, emotions..." I feel my brows in confusion as I think back to last night. "I was hunting. No- not at first. There was this instinct to find something, to track it down and- I don't know what but I needed it and then I saw the deer. It was beautiful but far too vulnerable to provide a decent hunt. That's when I saw the Dire wolf stalking it. From there it's all just... blood."

"That's pretty badass if you ask me." I roll my eyes but smile at the Siren, appreciating her attempt at comforting me.

"What happened on your side then." I jerk my head out in question as I slowly unwrap myself from the covers.

"Well, I got a phone call from Xavier at around lunch time." She begins, watching as I rummage through the small wardrobe. "He was panicking, scared. He kept repeating things and muttering. I honestly thought he was having a psych break until he mentioned finding you. Not that his description of you- no, not that skirt, it has paint on it. Anyway, I stopped by the infirmary and sirened my way into a first aid kit. Not that you needed it, mind you. Just a few nicks and scrapes from the trees."

I tug on the chequered skirt and maroon top.

"I got here as fast as I could without drawing any suspicion. Cleaned you up and tried to stop Xavier from having a breakdown." I wince at her words.

"How- How is he?" I cleared my throat, hesitantly continuing while keeping my head down. Ignoring Bianca in favour of looking through my jewellery box.

"You could ask him yourself." Her voice is sweet and taunting but my shoulders tense and she sighs. "We all know that Xavier and I should have never dated. You two are perfect for each other, or you will be once you get over yourselves."

"But you did date." I whisper, turning back to face her with watery eyes. "He chose you and I don't want to be secon-"

"It was casual, lil." She pleads, eyes begging for me to understand. "It was just supposed to be fun and a laugh. And I ended up usin-"

She shakes her head, closing her eyes for a moment.

"You are your own person. No one has or will ever be able to tell you what to do." She states with a firm nod and my stomach twists at her words. At the lie. "But give yourself a chance, lily. Please. I don't want to see you unhappy and alone. And I won't have you start out that way from such a young age."

"Fine." I sigh, "I'll.... Try."

"Now, are you feeling up for heading back to school?" Bianca asks, "you've missed all the classes but I'm sure your sister is looking for you."

Wednesday is going to kill me. She was no doubt worried about where I was, not my sister would ever admit it.

"Thank you, Bianca." I whisper and reach forward to grapes her wrist and press it to my cheek. She lets me nuzzle into her - scent marking. She hated it at first but I grew on her and she's accepted my little love language.

Wednesday

I glare down at the large pit beneath me, cursing my stupid sister as I continue to the dig the large grave. She couldn't even be bothered to eat the entire creature. Most of the torso and limbs have been left, gnawed to the bone but still here. If Weems finds these remains, we're screwed.

Not to mention the damn thing was a Dire Wolf.

The council will have her head if they find out. Probably in similar fashion to how my sister took the wolf's head. Maybe she's started taking trophies from her kills. I'd prefer to think of that instead of my sister eating some poor mutt's brains.

Pattering steps across the forest floor has me freezing in place. I'll need to get rid of any witnesses as well. At least I already have the grave dug for their body.

The movement stops and I slowly look around. Who would be-

Thing

That sneaky little appendage.

I don't bother waiting to see what things are up to. He's no doubt here to spy on my parents' behalf. They'll be no doubt delighted to hear I'm already burying my first carcass. One step closer to being a carbon copy of them.

Like Lilith is, the perfect daughter they wished they had. Not that I blame her. Half the stuff my parents think she does is actually a lie to garner their favour, or an intentional ploy to gain their approval. It's always been Lilith's fear that one day they would grow tired of her.

Not like that would be possible, they adore her. And even if she did get thrown out by the family I would make sure she would be set up for life. Uncle Fester promised multiple times to help us out if we ever needed an escape. He always understood what it was like to be the black sheep in a family of wolves.

I grunt and groan as I attempt to push the wolf torso into the pit. My feet scramble at the floor for purchase and slowly the body begins to move. I help in surprise, hastily scrambling back when the weight finally tips and the rib cage smashed against the hard floor at the bottom.

I swipe at the sweat dripping from my forehead as I look around and realise how dark it had gotten. I make quick work of piling in the remainder of the limbs before finding some large rocks. I'll need to cover the body up so that various animals don't dig it up.

A few layers of rocks later and enough dirt to pack down the grave and I'm on my way back to Nevermore.

What an interesting first day.

A/N: What would you like to see between Wednesday and Bianca
