The 3 days of written exams pass, and now it's the day of the physical part.

All of class 1-A is gathered in their superhero outfits outside of one of the fake areas built for the school. The whole class is faced with 8 teachers; Midnight, Aizawa, Cementoss, Snipe, Power Loader, Ectoplasm, Thirteen, and Present Mic.

"Now then, we begin the last test," Aizawa begins. "Remember it's possible to fail this final. If you want to go to camp then don't make any stupid mistakes."

"Uh, why are all the teachers here?" earplug girl asks.

"I expect many of you have gathered information, and I believe you have some idea of what you are faced with today," Aizawa says.

Kaminari interrupts. "We're fighting those big ol mega robots!"

"Fireworks. Smore's. Here we come!" Mina celebrates.

"Actually, this year's tests... will be completely different for various reasons!" Nezu says, shooting up from underneath Aizawa's scarf who's expression never changes as if it's a normal occurrence.

"Principal Nezu!" Jiro, Sero, and Ojiro shout surprised.

"You're changing things?!" Momo gasps.

"The tests now have a new focus," he says, climbing down using a part of Aizawa's scarf to get to the ground. "There will be hero work of course, but also teamwork and combat between actual people. So what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs and your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA's teachers. Isn't that fabulous?!"

"We're fighting the teachers?!" Ochaco cries out.

"Additionally, your opponents have already been chosen. They were determined based on my discretion and various factors including fighting style, grades, and relationships. Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are a team...against me," Aizawa says with a grin. "Then we have Midoriya grouped with Bakugo Katsuki. Your opponent is..."

He is cut off by All Might landing loudly in front of them. "I am here to fight!" he declares.

"We're up against All Might?!" Deku and Katsuki exclaim.

"You'll have to work together if you want to win," All Might grins.

The two look at each other; Bakugo in anger and annoyance, and Midoriya with fright. All Might chuckles.

"Alright, I'm gonna announce the teams in the order you'll go," Aizawa says. "Kirishima and Sato against Cementoss, Asui and Tokoyami against Ectoplasm, Iida and Ojiro against Power Loader, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu against me, Uraraka and Aoyama against Thirteen, Ashido and Kaminari against Nezu, Koda and Bakugo Kaida against Present Mic, Shoji and Jiro against Snipe, Mineta and Sero against Midnight, Midoriya and Bakugo against All Might."

All the teachers pitch in to explain the rules to them before Aizawa rereads the list once more for good measure before they head inside to get ready. All the groups head off to think through plans to win. Katsuki goes off on his own, leaving Midoriya to head to the Monitor Room to watch everyone's battles. Sitting in a chair is Recovery Girl.

"Good luck, Bakubabe!" Kirishima calls out as he heads off to his exam.

She ignores him and heads off with her quiet partner into a room. They sit at a table across from each other. Kaida crosses her arms and looks at her timid partner, leaning back in her seat. He's shaking like a leaf, avoiding her gaze.

"Can't say I've ever noticed you being a part of our class," Kaida finally speaks up after a few minutes, making the boy squeak and flinch. "You really don't talk much, do you? Can you talk at all? What even is your quirk?"

Koda shakes his head 'no' then nods 'yes.'

Kaida scoffs. "It has something to do with animals, right?"

He nods. 'Yes.'

"You control them?"

'Yes.'

"Yeah, don't know how that's going to be helpful at all," she scoffs. "I doubt we'll be placed anywhere with animals. If we are, I'm sure Present Mic will scare them all off with his annoying voice."

Koda remains quiet as Kaida goes through different scenarios in her head.

"Sato and Kirishima have been knocked out. Exam over," a voice announces throughout the building.

"That was fast," Kaida says. "Pathetic."

"Team Asui and Tokoyami practical exam. Ready? Go!"

Exams pass until it's Koda and Kaida's turn.

"Koda, is your name, right?" she asks, seeing him nod. "We're going to be in a forest. That's your territory, but all the animals are going to be scared away as Present Mic is able to spread the output of his voice across the whole area. My explosions aren't going to be able to push back the sound waves. The sound from my explosions will pause it for a second, but his quirk will easily cut through it. Being in the forest is also not good for me. I can easily start a fire, and we really don't want that. I... I honestly have no idea what to do except find him and cuff him..."

'Okay.'

She sighs.

The two walk off, getting into position.

"Team Bakugo and Koda practical exam. Ready? Go!"

"If we can manage to cuff him let's do that," Kaida says.

"YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

The two teens cover their ears until the attack stops.

"Damn, Aizawa specifically put me with you, so I wouldn't be able to use my quirk without causing tons of damage. This is really up to yo-"

"YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

"Come on, we need to get closer!" Kaida shouts, pointing forward towards where the sound is coming from.

The two push forward through the sonic screams. They hide behind some boulders as it takes away some of the sonic attack from blasting them full range.

"YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

Kaida takes notice of an ant hill beneath them. "Koda, can you control bugs too?!"

His face pales then he screams, running to hide behind a tree.

"YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

"KODA! CAN YOU?! YES OR NO?!"

He puts a shaky thumbs up. 'I can.'

She places her hand on the boulder next to her, blasting it into pieces. "THEN DO IT!"

"AAAAAAAAAHHH!"

"DON'T BE A FUCKING PUSSY AND DO IT! YOU'RE HERE TO BE A FUCKING HERO SO FUCKING ACT LIKE IT! I'M TIRED OF THIS ASSHOLE SCREAMING IN MY EARS!"

He tears up but rushes forward to begin commanding the bugs to listen to him. "Go on tiny ones, hear my call! Now is the time for you to take out the man responsible for all this noise!"

Kaida's eyes widen. "You were seriously just fucking shy?!"

They hear Present Mic's screams but in fear not his quirk. The two rush forward to the gate, handcuffing the mouth foamed pro hero paralyzed on the ground.

"Team Bakugo and Koda have passed the exam."

The pair highfive and head to the viewing room to watch the next match.

Kaida watches the rest of the matches intently, observing for weaknesses and other battle plans that would've worked. Then it's her brother's and Deku's turn.

They all watch as Katsuki backhands Deku, making Kaida chuckle just a little.

"Oh dear... There's absolutely no teamwork between those two," Recovery Girl sighs. "Don't they realize the trial ahead of them?"

The students all watch as All Might basically beats the fuck out of the two boys. Kaida did find it a bit satisfying to see her brother get sucker punched by Deku then All Might sucker punching him using Deku. It was still nerve wracking to watch as they barely manage to pass.

"Team Midoriya and Bakugo have passed the exam. All matches for the practical portion of Class 1A's final have now been completed."

Uraraka and Tsu squeal and jump together as Momo and Iida look on proudly. Kaida follows behind Recovery Girl to the nurses office.

Katsuki is completely passed out on the cot. After Recovery Girl's healing, he'll be out for a good few hours. Kaida leans on a wall, watching RG work.

"Smoooooooooch." She kisses Izuku's back to heal.

"Thank you very much, Recovery Girl," Deku groans. "I think I feel better."

"All Might! You really don't know how to hold back!" RG fusses with him. "If you'd hit these boys any harder they'd have permanent damage!" She huffs, smacking him repeatedly with her syringe cane. "Midoriya's back was horrible. I was barely able to heal it." She sighs, stopping her attack. "Bakugo probably won't wake up for a while. For now the two of you should stay here and rest."

"Yes ma'am, thanks again," Midoriya says.

All Might coughs into his hand, and Kaida takes notice to the blood on it as he places it by his side.

"You heard her," Kaida scoffs, crossing her arms. "My nii-chan isn't going to wake up anytime soon, so you can power down." Her eyes go back to the blood on his hand and her eyes widen after she realizes something. "You're getting weaker." Her eyes dart back and forth between All Might and Deku. "I might have some kinda of brain damage after Present Mic's screaming for thinking something like this, but..." She looks into All Might's face that's turning into worry. "Deku said he got his quirk from someone else, and that's why the two of you are so close. You gave Deku of all people your power."

"N–"

"Don't fucking lie to me All Might!" she shouts as she watches him deflate to his small form. "Did you somehow give him your power?!"

"Yes."

She stares at him with a bit of disbelief, running her tongue along the bottom of the top row of her teeth. "That's why you came back to Japan cause you were looking for someone to give it to because you're getting weaker. It's why he has a quirk and you're losing yours, right?"

"Yes."

"Why Deku?"

"He deserved to be able to fulfill his dream."

She scoffs. "Pathetic." She looks to Deku with a snarled lip. "Deku."

He gulps. "Y-Yes... Kaichan?"

"You have the most powerful quirk in the world, so you better learn to use it. It's not a borrowed power you dipshit. You can't give it back. It's yours now. Understand that?"

"H-Hai... Kaichan..."

She looks back at All Might. "I assume this quirk was passed down to you as well?"

"Yes, I was quirkless myself."

"So you were pathetic too," she scoffs. "You saw yourself in him and couldn't say no." She shakes her head. She scoffs out a laugh. "Both of you are losers." She sits down on her brother's bed, running a hand through his hair. "My nii-chan has worked his whole life to surpass you one day once he got his powerful quirk. I'm... not really interested in being a hero to be honest. I'm here to support my brother in his dream of being number one. I don't know what I want to be. I'll be a hero. I'm determined to be one and one of the best, but... it's not my dream. I'm still trying to find that out myself." She sighs, looking up to All Might. "My brother might be a pain in the ass, but I do love him. If anything happened to him, I don't know what would happen to me. I'm here to protect him as he has done for me."

"That's an admirable thing, young Bakugo," All Might says, sitting down on a nearby chair to rest.

"I know," she sighs. "He's my hero. He saved me." She gets up. "I'm not really in the mood to learn all about your quirk, All Might. You two can explain later. I'll be on the training field practicing my quirk while I wait for my brother to wake up. Once he learns about all this, and he will figure it out eventually, he's going to be really upset. This time I'll be there for him." She walks out the door.

All Might and Recovery Girl watch the girl.

"She sounds like she has some kind of trauma," Recovery Girl says.

"What did she mean by he saved her?" All Might questions.

"I'm not going to go into detail cause she'll probably kill me..." Midoriya mumbles out, drawing the two adult's attention. "When we were young, when she first got her quirk, there was a terrible accident that she caused. Kacchan was the only one there for her until heroes and authorities came to save them."

"On her medical history that I received, it said that she had panic attacks in the past. She hasn't had one for quite some time, so it's not a big cause of concern now," RG tells All Might.

All Might sighs. "Man, why does it feel like I was getting scolded by a parent or something... She's intense..."

"FUCK!" Kaida screams as she releases another blast, and it doesn't work the way she wanted it to go.

"Kaida?"

She whirls around to see Shoto. "What do you want?"

"Just heard your explosions, came to investigate."

"Just go away," she huffs, holding up her hand and releasing another explosion. "I want to be alone right now."

He observes as she releases blasts more and more and increasingly watches her breathing become more and more quick. "Kaida, I think you should take a break."

She snarls and swivels toward him angrily. "I don't have time to take a break! I-I–" She falls down, panting heavily.

Shoto rushes over worriedly, dropping to her side. "Are you okay?"

Her eyes flicker back and forth as she maneuvers herself to sit on the ground, pulling her legs to her chest. "Icy..."

"What's wrong?" he questions, not knowing what he should do.

She wraps her arms around her legs, placing her forehead on her knees. Her whole body is shaking as she continues to breathe heavy. She swallows, shutting her eyes tight. Tears start to stream down her face. Then suddenly everything calms a bit at a rubbing sensation on her back. "Hu..."

"Is this alright?" Shoto asks as he rubs circles on her back. "You're having an anxiety attack right? Is this helping?" He sits down beside her.

She tries to glare at him but can only manage a nod. It takes a few minutes, but she eventually begins to calm down, getting her breathing even.

She sighs. "Thanks, Shoto."

"It's no problem..." he draws his hand back.

She leans herself onto his side. "Don't stop. Please..."

He complies and starts rubbing her back again. "When I was younger... I had attacks too... My sister ended up always being the one to calm me down. This is how she would do it. Sometimes she'd run her hand through my hair too."

"Forget this ever happened, alright?" she huffs out, keeping her eyes closed. "Don't tell anyone this happened. Especially my nii-chan, I don't need him worrying about me."

"You should reall–"

"I'm not kidding, icyhot. Don't tell anyone. Promise me."

He's silent as he looks down at her. "Okay... Let's get you some water."
