22.) The Aftermath

(So I'm skipping straight to the end where Izuku is fighting in the sky against Overhaul with Eri on his back. Cause I'm lazy and don't wanna write everything before. Mirio still gets shot with the quirk erasing bullet and Sir still has the giant hole through his stomach.)

Deku slams Overhaul to the ground, finally knocking the man out. In a last attempt, Overhaul lifts his monsterous combined hand and slams it down on Deku and Eri only for her power to travel up his arm and separate him back to normal. Uravity quickly subdues him.

Ryukyu pulls herself, in her dragon form, out of the giant hole in the ground that Deku, Eri, and Overhaul came out/created earlier. Froppy comes out carrying Aizawa as well as Suneater carrying Lemillion.

Echo watches Deku topple to the ground in pain because of Eri's quirk. Aizawa lifts a finger, getting Echo's attention.

"I know it's selfish, but I need Eri to keep using her quirk for a little longer, Aizawa," Echo says, looking to Uravity. "Uravity, go and get Sir and hurry."

"I don't unde–"

"Just do it! We don't have time for you to argue!" Echo says, rushing forward to Eri and Deku. "If my observation is correct then I have a better plan."

"E-Echoo..." Deku cries out.

Eri's crying, big tears roll down her face. "Deku, I'm going to try and get her off of you. Eri, don't worry." Echo begins to continuously clone out and use them to untie Eri before they vanish because of her quirk. Echo has never pushed her quirk this hard and this fast before. She manages to get Eri off and separate from Deku. Deku immediately passes out, breathing heavily for a minute before he does.

"I got him!" Uravity says, gently tugging the man behind her using her quirk.

"Suneater! Bring Mirio!" Echo says, using a few clones to rip out the giant pointed rock from Sir's stomach and making everyone gasp. One clone places a hand on Sir's stomach before touching Eri. He heals just enough before the clone disappears. She does the same for Mirio, hoping that it was enough to get his quirk back. "Eraser!" Her vision goes dark.

9:20 am was when the fight was officially declared over.

~~~
11:33 am.
Hibiki grunts, blinking her eyes open. She rubs her eyes and slowly rolls over on the hospital bed. She blinks confused, sitting herself up. A nurse comes in right at that moment.
"Ah, you're awake!" she says, rushing to the hero's side. "You've been asleep for a little over 2 hours. We haven't been able to make a check up on you because of your suit. It wouldn't budge."
"Oh, sorry..." Hibiki mumbles, willing the suit back into her bracelets. "What... happened?"
The nurse gapes at her for a second not expecting it to disappear that easily and the fact that she's gorgeous before she shakes out of it and checks over her. "W-We believe you blacked out from overuse of your quirk, but we haven't been able to tell with your suit covering you and locking us out. It doesn't seem like you're injured in any way. That makes you clear to leave whenever you'd like. I'd recommend to stay around for another hour just to be sure you're alright."
"Do you know the current situation with everyone else? Is Sir okay? What about Mirio? Is his quirk back?"
"Sir is in a sable condition," the nurse answers. "He'll live. Togata's quirk is there, but he's currently only able to use it in his hands. We believe it will fully return just very slowly."
"Eraserhead? Fatgum? Midoriya? Kirishima? Eri?"
"Eraserhead needed a few stitches. Kirishima has immense bruising and lacerations all over his body, but it's not life threatening. Amajiki has a large fissure-like wound on his face, but it'll heal up without a trace, given time. Fatgum suffered numerous bone fractures, but he seems to not even be affected. Midoriya has no issues besides the previous injury he received on his arm. Eri is in quarantine as her quirk could return at any moment during her fever."
Hibiki sighs in relief. "Nobody died."
"Nobody died," the nurse confirms. "I'll get your papers together and take them to the front whenever you are ready to go."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." The nurse nods then leaves the room.
Hibiki gets off her bed and decides to explore to see if she can find anyone's room. She eventually comes across a room that says Fatgum, Kirishima, and Amajiki. She lightly knocks on the door to grab his attention. "Hey."
"E-Echo!" Fatgum squeaks, straightening up and ending up wincing a little.
She smiles, taking in his form. "I almost didn't recognize you if it wasn't for me knowing that this is your room. That and the blond hair. You really do have a smaller form. You're cute in both forms."
He blushes. "Th-Thanks..."
She looks at the two empty beds in the room. "I thought Kirishima and Amajiki were supposed to be in here with you."
"The two were taken to move around the hospital cause Kirishima was getting annoyed being cooped up in here and made Amajiki go with him."
"That sounds like him."
"Y-Yeah..."
They both become quiet, awkwardness filling the room.
"S-So, how are you feeling? You're quite beat up." She moves to sit in the chair beside his bed. "I heard you got a bunch of bone fractures."
"They're pumpin' some major pain killers through my body right now. I don't feel much of anythin' unless I make sudden movements," he responds.
"Well, that's good then."
It's quiet again.
"W-Well... I guess we're goin' ta have ta put our date on h-hold 'til I heal up..." he mumbles.
She chuckles. "Ah... it's fine. It's best that we get the rest."
"Yeah, what about you? Are you okay? I saw ya being wheeled off into an ambulance. Ya alr'ght?"
"I just wore myself out overusing the cloning part of my quirk. My clones are the ones that suffered all the damage. I won't be able to use those clones for a while now."
"Wha' ya mean?"
"Each clone is an emotion. Happy, Sad, Anger, Boredom, etc. Let's say I clone out Happy. If Happy is killed, I won't be able to clone out that emotion for a few days. I used over 300 emotions today to help Eri."
"300?! I didn't even know there was that many emotions!"
She laughs. "No, technically no. I use synonyms. So, Happy, Cheerful, Content, Glad, Joy, etc. They're all considered different levels to me. It's the matter of thinking them up."
"You must be very knowledgeable then."
She grins. "I am, but under pressure can be intense, so my suit will give me suggestions and mark off the ones I've used."
"That's amazing!"
"There you are. I've been looking for you, Noizu."
The two look to the door to find Aizawa.
"Aizawa!" Hibiki exclaims, quickly making her way over to him. "I heard you got stitches. You okay?"
"I'm fine, Recovery Girl already handled it," he responds, narrowing his eyes at Fatgum for a few seconds before turning around. "Come with me. Nighteye has requested to see you."
"Ah, okay!" She turns back to Fatgum. "We'll talk more later, okay?"
He nods as he watches her go. What was the glare for Eraserhead?
"How is Sir doing?"
"Because of you with Eri's help, the hole in his stomach is completely gone, but he is still missing his arm. They found his arm, but it was completely crushed, so there was no way of it getting reattached. They've decided to get him a bionic arm for him eventually." He's quiet for a few seconds as they walk before glancing at her. "What about you? Are you okay?"
"I'm good after that nap I had. I did use over 300 clones, making them as fast as they were dying."
"Are you okay after that?"
"Yeah, I just won't be able to use those emotions as clones again for a while. That's the only side effect to them dying. Don't worry, I don't relive all their deaths or feel them."
"That's good," he sighs. "Nighteye is in this room."
They enter the room.
"Echo..." Nighteye whispers out.
She gives him a smile as she moves to stand beside his bed. "Sir, it's good to see that your quirk was wrong."
"It was, and you made sure to see that. Who could've predicted Eri. I wanted to talk to you to thank you for saving my life and proving me wrong. Midoriya proved me wrong too."
"All in the work of a hero," she smiles, looking down to his arm. "I wish I could've saved all of you, but a bionic arm is pretty cool. Now you can pack it with a laser or a bunch of those stamp things you seem to use."
Sir chuckles. "I'll think about it. Thank you."
"You're welcome, Nighteye. Now, you should rest up. You've had a long day."
"Sounds like a plan," he answers as he closes his eyes.
She and Aizawa then leave the room, quietly shutting the door behind them.
"So, could you lead me to everyone else?" Hibiki asks her fellow teacher.
"Couldn't you lead yourself to them with your hearing?" he questions.
"Too tired," she yawns.
He shakes his head but leads her to the closest person anyway which happens to be Mirio.
"Echo sensei! Aizawa sensei! What're you two here for?" he asks.
"I wanted to check up on you," Echo says, heading further into the room.
"I'm a-okay! No need to worry about me!"
"I heard about your quirk. It's only working with your hand?" she asks.
"Well, it's really more just my fingers..." he mutters, picking up the empty plate nearby and showing them. "I can't get passed my knuckles, but it's something! I'm not too worried! I think it's going to come back just slowly. I couldn't use it at all when I first got here, so it's getting there!"
Hibiki smiles. "Well that's good."
"It's all thanks to you and Eri that I was able to get it back in the first place, so thank you."
"I'm just doing my job as a hero and a teacher to keep you safe," Hibiki says, ruffling Mirio's hair. "I'm glad that you're getting your quirk back and that you're so enthusiastic about it. You should get some rest too. Maybe when you wake up, you'll be able to put your whole hand through that plate."
"Yeah!"
Aizawa moves up beside her, gently touching her elbow to get her attention.
"Ah, well, I'll check back with you later. I'm going to check on everyone else."
"Okay, bye senseis!"
The two wave as they leave the room.
"What did you need?"
"You should probably see Eri next. She's quarantined, so we can only see her through the window. She has a fever and still hasn't woken up. Quarantining her was a decision made based on the information we obtained about her from files the Cleansers had on her quirk. She can't control her quirk that can turn back a person's time. Should anything happen to trigger her quirk again, we have no way of stopping it aside from myself. And because we don't know how strong it is, and to keep everyone's minds at ease, I think this is the most rational option at the moment. We're doing this for her sake too," Aizawa continues. "It doesn't work on things like buildings or the ground, only on people which means that it's not something we can easily train, discipline, or fine-tune. But-"
"You have me."
"Exactly. With your clones, we can train her together. There's going to be a meeting with the UA staff about her well being and eventual home at a later time. Once she's awake, and her quirk seems off for the most part, Nezu will arrange it."
He leads her down a few floors and through doors until they're on the other side of a glass wall, looking at the small girl breathing heavily. Her face is flushed and her horn is still the same size it was when she was on Midoriya's back.
"Oh, poor girl..." Hibiki mumbles sadly, placing her right hand against the window. "I wish there was something I could do to help you..." A thought crosses her mind. "Hmm... maybe... I'll... hmmm..."
"You alright?"
"Just thinking," she answers, watching the young girl in deep thought. "I'd have to get some opinions first before I make a decision though."
"Decision of what?"
"Nothing at the moment," she answers again. "Come on, let's go check on Kirishima and Amajiki. They've returned to their room."
"I thought you were too tired to use your quirk?"
