renjun didn't sleep much that night. his brain going on overload. thinking about tomorrow had set his nerves on high. knowing he'd be okay but still, he wanted to impress them. prove that he belonged with them. before he knew it the alarm clock was blaring. he got out of bed with a small exhale. he could only do his best. hoping to feel refreshed he jumped into the shower, returning again in five minutes, a towel wrapped around his waist. he let out a squeak of surprise to find jeno also awake and sitting up. the blonde looked him up and down and raised an eyebrow. renjun rushed to put his clothes on and all but fleeing from their bedroom. he sat beside haechan and jaemin who were finished setting the table, cheeks a crimson hue. haechan raised an eyebrow with a look that said he'd find out later. meanwhile jaemin deemed it the perfect time to lean in and stare at him, 'renjunnie your cheeks are red. are you okay?' of course at that exact moment jeno entered the room looking between them. renjun covered his face with his hands, 'i-i'm fine, just warm.' jaemin smirked sitting back looking up at his boyfriend, 'cute. don't you think so nono?' the was silence for a few seconds. renjun peeked to see the others expression only to find him once again staring directly into the others eyes. jeno didn't look away as he answered with a straightforward, 'yes.' jaemin beamed at the both of them before getting up to go to practice. leaving a very confused renjun. even haechan seemed surprised.

they arrived at the dance studio. only soft murmurs as background noise. renjun was lost in thought at the sudden change of jeno's tone. hadn't he been warning him not hours earlier. why would he suddenly play along with jaemin's teasing. he let out a sigh gaining the attention of donghyuck, who patted his arm, 'i can feel your brain going a mile a minute injun. slow down or you'll burst.' renjun glared at the other who only laughed, 'you're adorable jun. even when mad.' renjun hit his arm in what he believed to be a hard whack (it wasn't), 'i will drop kick you into next thursday.' donghyuck gasped dramatically gaining the others attention who watched them curiously. he placed a hand over his heart, 'injun-ah im wounded. you'd do that to your favourite dongsaeng. you're sunshine on a cloudy day. your soulmate.' renjun rolled his eyes but couldn't stop the smile that formed, 'you're so dramatic hyuckie.' the two of them ended up giggling at donghyuck clinging to him. they both noticed the others silence and stopped to see them all looking their way. causing the two to freeze. donghyuck the more brazen of the two put a hand on his hip, 'what. never seen two newfound soulmates connect before.' renjun watched a tense mark look between them, 'when did you two become so close?' donghyuck shrugged, 'yesterday. we talked and we discovered we have a lot in common.' before they could ask anything further their instructor entered the room with an energetic aura, 'well boys let's see what you've got.'
