Pizza Girl

"Plier, Étendre, Relever. Higher! Glisser, Sauter, Élancer. Push Yourself, Young Lola! Tourner, Arabesque," my dance instructor shouts, slapping her cane on the floor. I do as she says, remaining in position for her next steps.

My parents had put me back in dance lessons, to make sure I did not forget anything while I was here. At first, I was excited but now I regret ever agreeing to the idea. After taking a break for a month, my feet were sore, but they said I needed to remain in the arts.

She studies my form, walking around me like I am her prey before nodding her head with a shrug, "Again!"

Stella and I were visiting the boys after school one day, she had told me they kept gaining weight, and she needed to update their sizes again.

The first thing I noticed when we walked in their room were fifteen pizza boxes stacked on the table. I look around the house and notice that pizza boxes are everywhere, "Stells, I think I know why they are gaining weight."

My sister's jaw drops when she sees Joe and Kevin on the couch eating pizza, "Ok, if we have to keep making your pants bigger. The world is going to have a denim shortage."

I look around for ick but he is nowhere to be seen.

"Our pants fit are fine," Joe told her, as he struggled to close his pants.

"As long as we don't move," Kevin shrugged, sitting up. Her stops when he hears a rip.

"Ok, if you guys don't cut back on the pizza, you're going to be on stage in sweatpants," I wince at them.

"Power slides in sweatpants is awesome," Kevin said, causing Stella and I to roll our eyes.

"You could design some really cool ones with special pockets to hold pizza," Joe mocks. Stella throws his new jeans at him, while I grab a slice o the pizza.

I immediately drop it, turning my nose away from the strange substance.

"Hey," I saw Nick come down. I couldn't help but smile, thank goodness someone is sane. "Have you tried sweatpants? There's a lot more wiggle room."

I groan in disappointment, "Gross," I look away from the boy, trying to ignore the small pang of jealousy.

I suppose Nick can like whoever he wants, and our almost kiss was nothing more than us getting caught up in the moment.

The next day, I was in school at my locker when I say Kevin walk up to me. "Hey, Lola. You are a girl."

I tilt my head in confusion, "Last time I checked."

"How do you impress a girl?"

I furrow my eyebrows, "Why do you need to impress a girl?"

"Because I am going up against two players," he says in a weird voice, "And I need every advantage I can get."

"I would like it if someone cooked for me," I shrug, thinking back to this movie I saw where the man cooked a romantic move for his wife.

Kevin nodded, writing it down n a pad, "What do they cook?"

"I would like it," I clarify. Kevin nods before running away. I frown, with all the boys crushing over some girl, I didn't have anyone to hang out with. Stella likes to hang out with Macy, who doesn't really like me because I am close to the guys, although Stella is close with the guys at its is okay...

I turn to look for my sister, hoping she and Macy would be around so I could hang out with them. Instead, I find Nick reading a book near his locker.

I grin walking up to him, happy that he wasn't completely obsessed with the pizza girl.

"Hey, Nick," I smile, standing in front of the boy, "What are you reading?"

Nick's head immediately shoots up as he hides the book behind his back, "Nothing."

I crane my neck to see what it is but he hides it further, "Why are you hi-"

"How have you been," Nick cuts me off, giving me a nervous smile that hints that he is trying to hide something.

I decide to brush it off before smiling at Nick, trying to pretend like my friend is interested in what I have to say, "My parents put me back in dance lessons which have been killing me," I let out a groan, leaning my head on the lockers, "I thought coming back would give me a break from the dancing 24/7."

Nick nods his head, although he doesn't seem interested. He keeps looking behind him. I roll my eyes knowing he is reading that book.

"I think I am going to go swimming with sharks, for spring break," I wait for his reaction. Nothing.

"Do you think I should invite the pizza girl," I ask waiting for him to lift his head before I hit him on the head.

"Ow!"

I roll my eyes, "What are you reading?"

Nick guiltily reveals one of the romantic books that I know he stole from my bedroom.

All boys are dumb.

Nick sighed, running his hands through his hair before he looks t me with pleading eyes, "I need some advice, I'm trying to get close to a girl..."

"Stella," I yell, turning to see Stella and Macy standing next to me. I smile at Nick before turning to Stella, "Someone likes a girl."

Nick looks at me with his mouth wide open, "You did not just snitch! Not cool, dude."

Stella raised her brow at Nick as he continued, "I do like a girl," he eyed me, "not the pizza girl, but the problem is, there are these two other, Mac Daddies who are also trying to get close with this girl."

I cross my arms, "So the pizza girl."

"Wait a minute, my Stella Senses are tingling..." Stella said suspiciously before looking around. "Will these Two Mac Daddies happen to be Joe and Kevin?" Stella asked Nick.

"Dang it, Your Good," Nick sighed.

Stella smirked.

I huff before turning to the hall and raising my hand, "Emergency Jonas Meeting in 3, 2, 1..." I turn to the stairs to see all the boys sitting down on the stairs.

"What is this I hear about some girl you're gonna ask out?" Stella asked Joe, who sat in the middle.

I cautiously eye the bow and arrow in Macy's hands. She stretches it at the boys and I kindly take it out of her hands.

"Who told you that?" Joe asked Stella.

"Uh, Mac," I pointed at Kevin, "and Daddy," I pointed at Nick, who smirked. I roll my eyes at the idiots watching my jealous sister confront Joe.

"So who is she?"

"You don't know her," Joe said with a smug expression.

Stella raised her eyebrows, gently placing her hands on her hips, "Is she pretty?"

"No, she's hideous why else would I ask her out," Joe scoffed, earning a slap from Stella.

"Come on Joe, just tell me who she is," Stella urged.

"Ow! Why are you jealous?" Joe teased.

"No, of course not" Stella bluffed.

Stella turned to Macy and me, "Is it that New Girl in Home Ec?"

"Is it Macey on the Archery Squad?" Macey squeaked. Nobody comments.

"Hey wait, It's that pizza girl isn't it?" Stella grinned. I said that.

"Um, are Mac and Daddy still in trouble can we please go now?" Nick said as Kevin and he got up.

I stretch the bow in their direction, "No way."

They quickly sit down, while Joe tries to take the bow away from me. I frown handing it over.

"Let me fill you guys in Female 411," Stella walks in front of the boys, "One Guys likes a Girl."

"Cool," I smile.

"Two Guys like a Girl," Stella continues.

I dreamily sigh, thinking about a love triangle I read in a book, "Even Better."

"3 Guys like a Girl," Stella turns to me with her hands up.

I clap mine with hers, "Jack Pot."

I turn back to look at the boys snapping our of my hopeless romantic state, "But when all three of those guys happen to be brothers oh she just bought herself a ticket on the crazy train."

"So what are we supposed to do? We all three like her," Kevin asked.

"Well all three of you better unlike her," Stella simply answered.

"We talked about it, we can handle it," Nick said.

I laugh at the naive Lucas brother, "Wait you guys think you can handle going after the same girl? Remember when the three of you fought over the same teddy bear you had since you were kids?"

Thinking back to how they ripped the bear into three pieces.

"I think that was one of the few times we really got mad at each other," Nick said.

"And it tore you apart for months," Stella frowned. "And this isn't a teddy bear, It's a pizza girl. A real girl with real arms," Stella finished.

"Yeah, she's right," Kevin agreed, getting up to look at his brothers, "We can't go back again."

"Good, I'm glad you've come to your senses come on Macey, Lola" I wave goodbye at the boys before following my sister.

"You know they aren't going to listen, right?" I walk up to my sister.

"Duh."

The next day, Stella and I were at the Lucas' house, sizing the boys for their next concert. Stella had just measured Nick's torso when the one of the boys finally spoke, "I can't believe we were about to turn our backs on the Jonas book of law all for a girl."

"Marie was a big part of our lives," Kevin justified, as he raised his hand in the air.

Joe was looking through Stella's clothing rack when he just dropped a pair of pants on the ground. Rude!

"Hey, Hey, Hey, how would you like it," Stella scoffed, trying to think of something Joe cared about, "if I dropped one of your songs like that."

Joe shrugged, "Sorry. I just can't believe that Maria left."

I stand up from my spot on the floor, sitting below Nick. "Ok, pop quiz!" I was tired of the boys' moping about some stupid crush. I clasp my hands together, "What color were Maria's eyes?"

"Blue" Joe guessed.

"Brown" Nick answered.

"She has two," Kevin smiled.

I raise my eyebrows at their answers before continuing, "Name one thing she did besides delivering pizzas?"

"She rang the doorbell," Joe said.

"Smelled good," Nick sighed.

"Delivered garlic bread," Kevin told us before giving Joe a high five.

"Don't you guys get it?" Stella asked.

"How can we get it, if you keep asking us questions?" Kevin asked.

"You guys are fighting over a girl you hardly even know," Stella explained.

"Yeah, she's right. This isn't even about Marie at all," I agreed with my sister.

"I guess we did get over-competitive" Joe shrugged.

"Yeah and this band is supposed to be about teamwork," I added.

"Ok, now we get it," Kevin smiled at his brothers.

"No, I got it a while ago," Nick scoffed.

"Me too. I was just waiting for you 2 to catch up," Joe smirked.

"Promise, we won't be so competitive," Nick hugged me, causing me to slightly blush before I remind myself that we are just friends.

"I promise I won't be so competitive as these guys," Kevin stood up to look at me.

"Dude, there's no way you're going to be less competitive than me," Joe boasted.

"The first one down the pole is the least competitive," Nick suggested running to the poles.

Stella and I walked down the stairs, once the boys didn't return to see them swearing over the book of Jonas, once again.

"I'm proud of you guys," Stella and I tell them in unison. I smirk at her, while she sends me a wink.

"You know what I'm more proud of us," Nick smiled at the guys.

"My middle name is proud," Joe scoffed.

"Well, my middle name is I'm more prouder than Joe and Nick," Kevin rushed out, causing us all to look at Kevin strangely, "It's a long name, that's why I don't use it that often."

"Well when you think about it, It's pretty silly how hard you guys fell in love over someone you didn't even know," Stella laughs.

I laugh along with her in agreement, watching Kevin leave to answer the door.

"Who ordered from the Juice King?" Kevin asked, turning to us.

Stella and I immediately scramble to the door, pushing each other out the way, all the while trying to fix our hair. Once we make it to the door, Stella and I turn around to put some lip gloss on before we both smile at Jason, the Juice King worker.

I dreamily stare at the boy who resembled the boy in my books, fixing my hair to give it a bit more volume, I wave at Jason.

"We Did," We said sweetly as we watched the Jason take off his hat and show off his amazing hair. He is so hot...

"Wow" I hear Kevin say while Nick just scoffs from behind me.

I feel him place his arm around me, trying to pull me away but, I simply shrug him off. "What does Lola see in him anyway?"
