"Manamiiiii!" Yawara shouts through the phone. "We're coming to see you at your sports festival!"

Today is the day of the sports festival for all first years at UA. She is at home getting herself ready along with Kota. On the phone are the four pussycats.

"Really!?"

"Yeah, we'll meet you out front to take Kota for you," Shino says.

"Good, I was worried about leaving Kota."

"I'm a big boy! I can handle myself!"

Mana pats Kota's head and looks at the time. "We gotta go. We'll see you there!"

The students all had to arrive a bit early to get on grounds easier. It was still difficult to get inside though as the public decided to come early too.

Class 1A gathers in the waiting room specifically for them underneath the stadium public area.

Manami sits at a table beside Bakugo, soon joined by Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero. Todoroki stands nearby but keeps to himself and doesn't sit down. Midoriya and Mineta stand in the middle of the room, stretching and preparing. Momo and Jiro sit beside each other at their own table. Shoji and Aoyama are standing near the table where Tokoyami, Sato, and Koji are sitting. Tsu and Uraraka sit at the fourth table with Ojiro and Mina standing nearby.

Iida rushes into the room and begins to yell at them that it's almost time to go into the arena.

"Midoriya," Todoroki calls out, walking up to said boy.

The greenet turns to him. "H-Hey, Todoroki, what's up?"

Manami looks on with her head tilted.

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you."

Midoriya flinches then slightly agrees. "Yeah," he nods.

"However," Todoroki continues. "You've got All Might in your corner helping you out. I'm not here to pry about what's going on between you two. But know that I will beat you."

"Ah, what's with all the declarations of war lately?" Kaminari questions.

Kirishima stands up and moves up to the two. "Yeah, what's the big deal?" He places a hand on Todoroki's shoulder. "Why you picking a fight all of a sudden and right before we get started?"

Todoroki elbows Kirishima's arm off of him. "We're not here to be each other's friends." He turns and stalks off. "Don't forget this isn't a team effort."

"Wait a sec, Todoroki," Midoriya says, stopping the boy in his tracks who glances at Midoriya. "I don't know what's going through your head, or why you think you need to tell me that you'll beat me... Yeah, of course, you're better than me. In fact, you probably have way more potential than anyone in the hero course. That's why you got in so easily."

"Midoriya, maybe you're being a little hard on yourself and us–" Kirishima says.

"No," he cuts him off. "He's right you guys. All the other course students, they're coming for us with everything they've got. We're all going to have to fight to stand out, and I'll be aiming for the top too."

"Fine," Todoroki grunts a bit annoyed.

Bakugo clicks his tongue.

"Me too! Me too!" Manami grins. "Let's have some fun!"

They're sent out to line up after a few minutes.

Manami listens excitedly to everything Present Mic says until they're told to walk out. She's shaking in excitement at everything going on around her. All of the classes of first years group up in front of a stage where Midnight stands.

"Now the introductory speech," Midnight says once all the first years are gathered in front of her. "Silence everyone!" she shouts, whipping her flogger whip down. "And for the student pledge, we have... Bakugo Katsuki!"

He nonchalantly moves through the crowd and heads up on stage, ignoring the little speeches around him from students.

"Yay!" Manami loudly cheers to drown out the negative people.

He moves up to the microphone. "I just wanna say, I'm gonna win."

It's silent for a few seconds before all the students begin to 'boo' him angrily. Iida fusses with him, and he retorts accordingly. He walks down from the stage, shoving by Midoriya with a plain expression.

Midnight quickly takes over the mic. "Without further ado, it's time for us to start! This is where you begin feeling the pain. The first fateful game of the festival."

The spinner lands on obstacle race then everyone lines up, roughly shoving each other to be in the front before time is called to go through the tunnel.

Manami melts into a puddle, moving around people's legs to reform at the front of everyone. She grins as the others in the front complain. "You snooze, you lose!"

One of the green lights goes down then another then all three turn off.

"Begin!" Midnight shouts.

Everyone rushes forward to get through.

Manami emerges from the front of the pack, blasting water out of her hands to quickly move forward.

Todoroki's ice heads through the tunnel behind her, freezing most everyone to the ground and surging forward beside Manami on his ice.

The robots from the practical cut off their path. Todoroki makes quick work of them before they collapse after he makes his way through underneath them. Manami blasts herself over them before they break out of their frozen prison. She lands on the ground behind the robots and chases after Todoroki.

At the next obstacle, Manami passes Todoroki. She blasts over it and lands on the ground on the other side and begins running. Todoroki catches up to her after a few minutes. He decides to send a blast of ice her way to try to slow her down.

She grins, easily taking control of the ice and turning it into extra water. "Sorry, Roki Doki, but you're going to have to try harder than that if you wanna stop me!" She sends the water right back at him, but this time it's boiling hot.

It takes him a little more time to freeze it. It's enough time for Manami to get in front of him and reach the next obstacle. A minefield.

She lifts herself up again by shooting water behind her much like Bakugo does with his explosions. Speaking of him, he ends up quickly beside her.

"Get outta the way, aquagirl, icyhot!" he shouts, sending an explosion at her and Todoroki. The two easily block it.

A giant explosion, not from Bakugo, resounds behind everyone, blasting Midoriya over everyone and into first place after slamming his shield down in front of the three to continue his ride before running into first. Manami manages to get into second, Todoroki third, and Katsuki fourth.

"Goddammit!!!!" Katsuki screams. "Fucking fourth?!"

The results are revealed for the winners, being the top 42. Both of all the hero course students made it, along with a pink haired girl from the support course and the purple haired gen ed kid from before.

Cavalry battle is declared the next event they have to go through. The students are allowed to chose who they want to tag along with two to four can be a group. The rider isn't allowed to touch the ground or they're disqualified. Each person is given an amount of point worth and the top four teams with the most points wins. Yadda yadda yadda. You know the rules.

(For this, Manami will be replacing Sero which means Sero will take place on Izuku's team to replace Mei who's taking Hagakure's spot on her team.)

Deku is worth ten million.

Manami smiles, looking at her score of 205. "Yay! Look how many points I got!"

They get 15 minutes to form groups. Everyone immediately surrounds Bakugo, begging him to be on his team.

"Please, let me be on your team!" Mina begs.

Bakugo slides an arm over Mana's shoulders and pulls her to him. "You're going to be on my team, got it?"

(Don't make fun of her creepy mouth 😭 It's supposed be a cute smile, but it's so NOT! 😭 I can't edit worth shit for mouths and hair 😭) (He also looks like he's grabbing her boob 😂)

"Wouldn't wanna be on anyone else's!" She beams up at him.

They pair up with Kirishima and Mina. Bakugo is the rider, Kirishima is the front, Mina is on the left, Mana is on the right.

The buzzer sounds, telling them their group gathering and planning is over.

Everyone gets their headbands and lifted up with their groups. Present Mic counts down and Midnight yells 'begin' after he reaches one. Everyone immediately takes off towards Deku's group.

Manami is quick to use her quirk to surround them in a water bubble.

"Good thing we didn't get first, or everyone would be coming after us," Kirishima says, watching as everyone converges on Izuku.

"Get em," Bakugo says.

Manami and the other two charge forward towards Izuku. Mana looks around and gets an idea, sending out tentacles of water around to nearby teams.

Izuku manages to get away by having Uraraka use her quirk on everyone, and Sero swinging them all up and away.

The Bakuteam turn around along with many others and chase after them. Shoji runs after them, and Mineta and Tsu make their move to try and snag the million.

"Whoa! That's so smart!" Manami shouts, eyes shining at Shoji's team.

"Aquagirl, pay attention. Open up the bubble," Bakugo demands, watching Izuku getting ready to swing away again. "I'm going after Deku."

Sero swings his team up, and Bakugo blasts off after them as Mana removes the top of the water bubble. Tokoyami blocks Bakugo's blast with Dark Shadow. Mana whips out a water tentacle and snags Bakugo back to them.

Present Mic fusses about Bakugo leaving the group, and Midnight says it's allowed as he didn't touch the ground.

Manami covers them back with the bubble and ties the headbands she's taken from the horned American girl in 1B, the Chinese guy also is 1B, a purple haired guy's team, and the team with 1B's glue guy.

"Whoa! When did you get these?!" Mina shouts in surprise.

"The same way I caught, Katsu!" Mana answers. "I've been grabbing them with my water tentacles."

Bakugo grins, ruffling Mana's hair.

The current scores appear on the screens around the stadium, making Present Mic shout in surprise. Midoriya is still in first, Bakugo comes next with 1,350 points, Tetsu with 1125, Monoma with 680, Todoroki with 615, Kendo 225, and then everyone else has zero points.

Present Mic announces that they're at the halfway point.

Todoroki's team cuts off Izuku's.

"We need to hurry up if we're gonna get Deku's points," Bakugo grunts, hitting his fist on the top of Kirishima's head. "Get going!"

Mana suddenly shivers, sensing electricity. She freezes, pulling everyone back. "Wait!"

Kaminari explodes his quirk to paralyze anyone nearby before Todoroki freezes everyone nearby. Kendo, Shoji, Jiro, and Shishida's groups are frozen and unable to move. Todoroki then traps his and Midoriya's group in a circle of ice risen so high you'd have to go through or under it to get to the other side.

"Whoa! That was close!" Kirishima shouts.

"Yeah, good going, Mana!" Mina cheers.

"Dammit! Now how are we going to get to Deku!" Bakugo shouts, eyeing the ice wall.

"We go through it," Mana grins.

"How?" Mina asks.

Mana glances up at Bakugo. "I mean, you could just blast through it."

"I'm not wasting my energy to go through it," he replies, looking up. "I'll blast over it."

"Or, I can get us through it," Manami responds.

"Huh?" Mina grunts confused.

"I'm able to manipulate water," Manami responds as they stop in front of the ice. "Ice is a form of water." She swipes her hand through the air and the ice in front of them moves to open to the other side.

"Why didn't you just do that before?!" Bakugo screams.

Manami just laughs as he whacks the top of her head. "Oh, looks like Sho has the million points now."

"Dammit, icyhot!" He shouts, blasting himself over towards them.

(Cutting out Monoma scene because she's protecting them and shortening the time cause I'm bored.)

The time is called. The calvary battle is over.

Bakugo falls to the ground on his face with an angry scream as his fist bangs on the ground.

The buzzer sounds, and the top four teams make it to the next and final round.

After that, Todoroki pulls Midoriya aside as everyone else goes to lunch for an hour and 30 minutes.

Bakugo takes notice and grabs Mana, hushing her and quietly following behind the two.

Mana giggles and whispers. "Looks like we switched roles. I'm the one that usually tugs you places."

"Shh!"

They listen in from around the corner. Mana almost gives them away from giggling at hearing Todoroki ask if Midoriya was All Might's secret love child. Then she straightens up at hearing about his past. Her fists tighten angrily.

After their conversation is over, the eavesdroppers silently head off to the lunch room.

They enter the cafeteria and get their food before sitting together at a table.

They're joined shortly after by Sero, Mina, and Kirishima. They immediately lift the mood.

"We all made it!" the three cheer.

Elsewhere~

"Yaoyorozu, Jiro," Kaminari calls out, getting their attention.

"Uh huh, do you need something?" Momo asks.

"Well, I'm sure you already know since you're like a class rep, but they said all the girls have to wear those uniforms for the big cheer battle this afternoon," Mineta says, pointing to the ugly long nosed girls that all slightly look the same, running by in orange cheerleading outfits.

"Huh?!" Jiro screeches.

"That's odd," Momo says. "This is the first I'm hearing about it. Are you sure?"

"You don't have to believe me if you wanna get in trouble, but this is coming straight from Aizawa sensei. I thought maybe you'd forgotten, so I thought I'd remind you just in case."

Kaminari nods in agreement. "Mmm hmm, mm hmm."

Momo begins to worry. "I don't know where the uniforms are! I'm just going to have to use my quirk instead! Jiro! Hold this tray! I'm going to have to get more food to eat! Jiro, go tell the other girls and get their measurements for me!" She shoves her tray of food into Jiro's arms, making a pen and notepad which she also shoves at her before rushing back into line for more food.

Jiro sighs, setting down their food at an open table before going around to each girl to get their measurements.

"Cheering? That sounds fun!" Mana squeals, happily whispering Jiro her measurements.

After they finish eating, Mana is dragged by all the girls to go get changed into the cheerleading outfit.

"It's almost time for the last round!" Present Mic announces. "But before that, good news for everyone who didn't make the finals, since this is a sports festival we've prepared some super fun side games everyone can participate in! We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping!" 1A exits into the stadium. "Hold up!"

"What are they doing?" Aizawa questions quietly, looking at his stupid children.

"Looks like Class 1A is going full on fan service!" Mic announces.

Mineta and Kaminari chuckle and give each other a thumbs up.

"What?! You tricked us?!" Momo shouts angrily, waving a pompom at them. "You're gonna regret this!" Momo falls to the ground on her knees in defeat. "Why is it that I always end up falling for that little pervert's stupid schemes? I even used my quirk to make these outfits..."

Uraraka kneels down and pats the taller girl on the back.

"UGH! I hate those guys!" Jiro huffs embarrassed, throwing her pompoms to the ground.

Mana smiles. "I think we all look super cute! Let's cheer everyone on during the side games! Yay! Go 1A! Go Katsu!"

"Shut up, aquagirl!" Bakugo huffs, turning away from her.

"Are you crazy?!" Jiro huffs then blank faces. "Katsu? You call him by his first name?"

Mana tilts her head. "Yeah? What's wrong with that? I call everyone by their first name? Is that wrong? It's their name."

"Yeah, but–"

She's cut off by Present Mic.

How the matches are going to go shows up on the screen. Midnight is going to have them draw lots to see who they're up against. Ojiro decides he's going to withdraw along with some chubby short boy from class B. Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki are put in the competition instead.

After everything is done, people are shown who they're battling.

First Izuku vs Shinso. Second Shoto vs Shiozaki. Third Sero vs Denki.

Manami's first battle is against Iida. They'll be the fourth battle. That means Manami has a good two hours before her match. If she wants to watch the other battles though, probably a good 1 hour.

She decides against participating in the extra games and instead decides to go back inside to change back into the UA training clothes.

Bakugo notices and follows her, grabbing her arm to keep her from leaving. "Not joining in?"

Mana smiles, turning to him. "No, I'm not really interested in trivial things. I figured I'd change then go sit with Kota for a bit until I have to fight. Wanna come with?"

"I don't wanna go see that little brat," Bakugo scoffs, shuffling off behind her as she moves.

"Then why are you following me?" she teases as they continue in the building.

He scoffs, releasing her hand and pushing it away from him.

Jiro watches from far away as Bakugo basically follows her like a lost puppy. "Wonder what's that about?"

"What's what about?" Tsu asks, leaning closer to the short purple haired girl.

She points at Bakugo and Mana. "The two of them seem really close, right?"

Tsu tilts her head to look back at them. "Hmm... That's quite a pair, ribbit."

"No kidding."

After getting back in the gym uniform, Manami exits the locker room to find Bakugo leaning against the opposite wall.

"That took forever," he scoffs.

"No, it didn't," Mana singsongs, grabbing his hand and skipping off to find Kota. "He's this way."

"Don't fucking pull me!" Bakugo screams but continues to get tugged along anyway.

"I don't want us to get separated!"

He scoffs, turning his face away from her. "Whatever."

Mana looks at each number terminal, trying to find the number that Shino said they would be sitting. "Found it! Come on!"

"I'm already going! Stop pulling me so damn hard!"

She tugs him all the way up to the row of seats, waving once she sees them.

"Manami!" the Pussycats shout.

Yawara looks at Bakugo behind her, and he starts to bawl. "What?! Who-Who is this?! Why didn't you tell us you had a boy-boyfriend?!"

"What?!" Tomoko shouts. "You're not allowed to have a boyfriend before me!"

Mana laughs.

"I'm not her fucking boyfriend!" Bakugo shouts, yanking his hand away as Mana continues to giggle.

"This is Bakugo Katsuki. He's in my class. I figured we should come say hi cause we didn't want to join in with the extra stuff," Mana says.

"Cause it's lame."

"This whole thing is lame," Kota huffs, crossing his arms with a pout and glare on his face.

"How about we go and get some snacks?" Manami asks, kneeling down in front of Kota and placing her hands on his knees. She tilts her head at him once he silently turns to her.

"...Kakigori?"

She smiles. "I think we can find a stall. Come on." She pats his knees and stands up.

"Fine." He stands up and follows behind her after getting some cash from Shino.

"Come on, Katsu!" Manami singsongs and skips up the stairs with the two boys following behind.

The four cat heroes look at each other as they watch the three go.

"He's certainly... different," Shino says.

Mana leads the two boys to the front of the stadium where all the vendors are located.

"Who were those weirdos?" Bakugo asks.

"They're the Pussycats," Manami replies. "The burnette is Kota's cousin once removed. She's his mom's cousin."

"She's your caretaker?"

"Yep."

She stops once they get to the vendors, holding an arm out for the two to stop. She moves them to the side out of the way of bustling people.

"What're you doing?" Bakugo asks annoyed.

She holds her hands out in front of her, closing her eyes to concentrate. She forms a ball of water in her hand.

She then throws it out, spreading it around the area. Her eyes close for a few seconds before reopening them. "Found one. It's this way."

Bakugo blinks. "You can track with your water too?"

"There are many things I can do with water," Mana explains, taking Kota's hand in hers. "My quirk has all sorts of different capabilities that can be applied many different ways. You should see what I can do in the ocean."

"Kakigori!" a man shouts out.

"We're here!" Mana claps, walking up to the man. "3 for us!"

They all get their preferred flavors and head to a bench to sit down.

They head back inside when it's time for the first round and watch with Kota and the four cat heroes.

Midoriya beats his opponent. Todoroki easily takes down vine girl with a ridiculous glacier of ice that went far above the stadium. Kaminari somehow manages to beat Sero.

Mana says her goodbyes to Kota and the Pussycats around the middle of Kaminari and Sero's match with Bakugo following behind her. He follows behind her to the prep rooms to watch her closer than he could from the stands.

"Don't lose," Bakugo tells her. "I wanna battle you at the end."

"Time for the fourth match!" Mic shouts. "Get ready to watch two new students duke it out!"

"Guess that's my cue!" Mana grins, gently grabbing both of Bakugo's hands in her own. She excitedly looks up at him. "I promise I'll make it to the final round to beat you!"

He grins and scoffs. "You beat me? Not gonna happen."

"Wish me luck!" she says as she runs out the room.

He follows behind her to watch her fight, leaning against the wall at the exit to the arena. "You won't need luck..."

"He's the kid with engines in his legs... Iida Tenya from the hero course versus the girl that can manipulate water, Izumi Manami!"

She walks out onto her side of the battlefield. "Let's goooo!"

"Begin!" Midnight shouts.

The two race towards each other, Iida meeting her before she can make it halfway across the field. Mana swirls around his body to dodge his incoming shove and latches onto his back. He continues to run, trying to swing her off of him. She retaliates by surrounding his head in a bubble full of water.

"Running takes a lot of breathing, right?" Mana says. "So take a deep much-needed breath, Iida. Come on. Do it."

Iida's eyes widen as he begins to lose air. He stops running, grabbing at the bubble and Manami to find it fruitless. It's like the slime villain Bakugo was wrapped up in on the news broadcast he watched. She was water. He can't grab water. He does the only thing he can think of as he starts to lose consciousness, slamming his body backwards to try to splatter her on the ground.

She realizes as he drops and flips herself to latch to his front side.

He hits the ground right as he passes out.

Mana stands up, ridding the bubble and pulling out any water that Iida may have inhaled.

The crowd is completely silent after watching the scene.

Midnight blinks before calling out. "Izumi wins!"

"Izumi wins by making her opponent run out of air! How terrifying! She took him down with minimal effort! She advances to the next round! Good luck!" Mic announces.

Mana helps Iida get on the gurney the medical robots brought to take him to the infirmary. She walks off with a spring in her step even more so when she sees Bakugo. "I won!"

"I saw."

The two head up to their class section and watch the rest of the matches until it's his turn.

"You-You're insane!" Mineta shouts, shaking and hiding behind Shoji as he points at her. "You're scary!"

Mana pouts her lips. "I'm just saving my energy..."

"I-I thought it was amazing! You utilized your quirk for a simple take down method!" Izuku compliments.

Mina wins against Aoyama. Tokoyami quickly gets Momo out. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu end up in a draw. Bakugo ends up winning against Uraraka but by a hair. Then everyone has to wait for the stage to be remade. Once it's finished, Kirishima and Tetsutetsu decide their tie with an arm wrestling match with Kirishima as the winner.

Second round begins.

The intensity of the first match with Izuku and Todoroki was so insane that the stage was once again destroyed. Midoriya was blasted out of the field and taken to the infirmary. Another intervention was called, so Cementoss could fix the stage again.

Mineta, Tsu, Uraraka, and Iida rush off to go check on Midoriya to see if he's okay. Mana decides to go with them, tugging Bakugo with her.

"Let's go!"

"Where're you fucking taking me now?! I don't wanna see that damn Deku!"

Her head whips to look at him with a glare. "You're going. He's your friend."

He laughs. "Since when? We've never been friends! Just like you and me. We aren't friends."

She releases his wrist and looks away. "You can say we aren't friends as many times as you want, but it's not going to change my mind." She looks back at him determined, pointing a finger at him. "You will be my friend. I'll make sure of it. You got that?!" She pokes his chest with steely eyes.

"Tch."

She grabs his wrist again and starts running. "Now, hurry up! The others got too far ahead of us!" She races them to the infirmary and slams the door open. "IZU!"

The blond man in the room flinches, placing a hand over his heart. "My heart can't take getting scared this much..."

"Izu, are you okay?" Mana asks, walking into the room.

His face flushes at her nickname for him. "I-Izumi..." he whispers. "Y-Yeah..."

"I told you to call me Mana or Nami!" she huffs, puffing her cheeks.

"A-Ah! Sorry! M-M-Mana!"

Mana looks back to not find Bakugo, racing back into the hallway to grab him before he escapes and pulling him into the room.

"Get your freaky blue hands off me!"

"K-Kacchan!" Izuku stutters in surprise, sitting up a bit more.

"You're much too noisy!" Recovery Girl speaks up, ushering them all out. "I know you're worried, but I got to focus on surgery now."

"Surgery!" the five teens, not Bakugo, scream.

They're all pushed out the room, and the door slams behind them.

"Well, I guess I'm fighting Denki next..." Mana sighs.

Iida blinks. "You're going against an electric user. Will you be alright?"

Mana clinches her hands. "I... I don't know. I once was electricuted when I was younger... I was knocked out for a few hours..."

"Then you shouldn't fight him!" Uraraka cries. "If that was only a small shock, I can't imagine how bad Kaminari could hurt you!"

Mana gives a weak smile. "I'll be fine."

"You better be, aquagirl, cause you still gotta fight me, so I can beat you," Bakugo huffs. "Don't let dunce face beat you, or I'll kill him."

Her smile comes back. "Right!"

"Alright, and we're back! The stage has been remade! Sorry for the long wait," Mic reintroduces. "Now, we have sparking killing boy, Kaminari Denki! Versus! The graceful but terrifying water manipulator, Izumi Manami! Both from class 1A!"

Manami walks out, looking out to the crowd for the nearest camera.

She trembles in her area nervously. She almost doesn't realize Present Mic was finished with his introductions before Midnight moved in her peripheral vision.

She gets her bearings a bit, pointing to a camera and loudly exclaiming. "If I win this round! EDGESHOT! I WANT YOU TO INTERN ME!"

The crowd is silent before they cheer.

"A shout out to pro hero Edgeshot!" Present Mic repeats. "How exciting! You watching Edgeshot?!"

After her speech, her determination drains out of her, and she returns to being nervous. She's scared. Electricity hurts.

She doesn't realize someone said start until Kaminari is sending his 1 million volts at her. She melts into a puddle right as the electricity reaches her as an expression of discomfort crosses her face expecting the flare of pain. Her face is scrunched together and eyes are tightly shut, preparing herself.

The once loud crowd becomes eerily silent.

Kaminari screams. "AAAAH! DID I KILL HER?!"

The rest of the crowd begins to shout. Midnight is too stunned to call anything.

Manami blinks from within her puddle. She was planning to forfeit but this... this panic... she could use it to her advantage. She begins to expand her puddle, producing more water and resting just on top. She makes herself as thin as she can and rises from the puddle. Now, because of the panic, nobody is going to notice her movement, but normally they would. She's still very visible.

Mana makes her way behind Denki, creating more water to swiftly wrap around his head like she did to Iida.

Denki immediately plummets to the ground as he took a large inhale when she covered his head.

"Kaminari is down! What just happened?!" Mic screams.

Mana breathes, reforming for everyone to see her and falling back onto her butt. She pulls the water out from Denki's lungs. "Never again..."

"Izumi took Kaminari down with the same scary move she used before! Water bubble suffocation!"

"Izumi advances to the next round!" Midnight announces, breaking out of her trance.

Edgeshot better send in a request. She almost died.

Tokoyami took out Mina. Bakugo took out Kirishima.

It's time for the third round.

Shoto vs Manami. Bakugo vs Tokoyami.

Before Manami knows it, she's on stage and Present Mic has yelled start.

Shoto immediately sends a wave of ice at her.

She simply swipes her hand, making the ice go in whatever direction instead.

He sends wave after wave after wave of ice with the same outcome.

"Sho, do you really think ice is going to stop me?" Manami asks, tilting her head as she begins to move closer to him. She continues to divert the ice as she heads toward him.

"When... did I ever tell you... that you could call me that?" he huffs out between heavy breaths.

"When did I ask if it wasn't an option?" Manami retorts. She stops in front of him, holding her arms out beside her with palms facing away from her. All the ice around them begins to melt into water. The water swirls towards Manami, gracefully moving around her.

"It's... rude."

"You've been nothing but rude since you got here," Manami retorts. "And I'm going to change that whether you like it or not!"

"...What?"

She sends all the water around her to rush straight at him.

He throws up a shield to block only for it to turn into water as it's dispensed. He's flung backwards into the wall like he did to Midoriya except this time there's a Shoto shaped hole that he's lodged in. He's completely knocked out as Midnight checks over him to declare that he's both outta bounds and knocked out.

Manami drops the use of her quirk from swirling around her, standing up completely straight. A fierce look crosses her features. "You and Bakugo have that in common. Hardheaded and in need of a friend. Otherwise you would've used your fire."

She makes her way off stage and back into the waiting room. She takes a deep breath to calm herself, leaning on the door that she closed behind her. She got a little too worked up. She pushes herself off the door and to the provided chairs in the room.

Bakugo kicks in the door right as she sits down.

"Hey, why are you in here?" he grunts confused, tilting his head back to read the room number. "It's waiting room... two?! Dammit."

Manami chuckles. "You dummy!"

"Fuck off! This works out anyway! I wanted to tell you no stupid tricks like you pulled with glasses and Pikachu! You go all out! Got that?! I don't want some cheap ass win!"

She grins. "Okay, Katsu!"

"And stop calling me that like we're friends or something!"

She tilts her head as she discovers something. "Huh."

"What's with that stupid look on your face?!"

"You're denying me being your friend cause you're too flustered to admit it. That makes sense. You are a tsundere after all."

"I'm a fucking what?! Whatever! Remember what I said!" he shouts as he stomps out the room, slamming the door behind him.

"If you want all out then I'll give it to ya," Manami whispers.

"Both from class 1a! Bakugo Katsuki vs Izumi Manami!" Present Mic announces. "Start!"

Though Mana is able to create her own water, she doesn't use it as much as she should. She likes using the water around her more.

The crowd has many murmurs of confusion and annoyance as every liquid around the stadium begins being pulled to the field below. The mixture of all the drinks turns the overall color blackish brown as it hovers in a giant bubble above Bakugo.

Bakugo's eyes widen. "I thought you could only manipulate water?"

"Surprise! It's all liquids." She smiles. "All liquids."

He narrows his eyes, curious why she repeated that. "Doesn't matter. I'm still gonna kick your ass!"

She hurls the giant bubble of mainly soda at him.

He turns his hands forward, preparing to blow the bubble into steam. Only little crackles are produced. "What?! My quirk isn't working?!" He gets blasted full force by the liquids, soaking him.

Mana giggles and shakes in disgust. "Eww, that's gotta feel sticky."

Bakugo snarls, shaking his head and glaring at her. He throws his hands back behind to propel himself forward with his quirk. But it still doesn't work. Just the little crackles again. He's quick to make the connection. "You're taking my sweat away faster than I can produce and ignite it. That's what you meant by 'all liquids.'"

Mana smiles, manipulating all the sweat she's taken moving beside her. "Ding ding ding! What are you going to do now, Katsu?" A large bubble two times the size of Mana's head forms to her right.

He warily eyes the sweat swirling beside her. A plan forms in his head. "Kill you."

"Oh? Are you thinking of touching this to explode it? Well sorry to disappoint, but it won't be easy. In fact, you can have it back." She moves it back over to him, dumping it to coat his whole body. "Now." She holds her hand out towards him and heats up the sweat to set it off.

A giant explosion goes off, kicking smoke up around the whole stadium. A burnt candy smell radiates around the area.

Once the smoke clears, Bakugo is revealed to be knocked out and covered in a brown syrupy crust around his whole body. He looked like a person stuck in a statue. Mana was still in the same place as she was before.

Midnight holds a hand out as she goes to see Bakugo, finding him frozen stiff while still standing and completely passed out. "Izumi is the winner!"

Izumi jumps up and down with a huge smile. "I did it!" She swears she can hear the cheers of the Pussycats from where she stands. She summons a bunch of water and shoots it at Bakugo to rinse him off of the burnt soda crust around his body. "There. All clean." She catches him with her water and places him on the gurney the robots were bringing over.

Fireworks burst above the stadium as all the first years gather on the field after Cementoss rids it of the battle arena and making it flat again. Mana heads underneath the stadium along with Tokoyami, Todoroki, and Bakugo. Mana stands on the 1st place platform, staring down at Bakugo who's glaring at mainly her and anyone that gets near him. His arms are crossed and his lips are pouted. Todoroki and Tokoyami stand on the third-place platform.

"The first-year students have completed all the events for the UA sports festival. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the awards ceremony," Midnight is heard announcing from above them.

More fireworks and celebratory music is sounded, and the three platforms are raised up from underneath to the field above.

Todoroki and Tokoyami remain emotionless just staring out blankly in front of them. Bakugo continues to pout. Manami smiles, waving.

"Hi!"

"Now let's bring out the hardware!" Midnight says. "Of course there's only one person who's worthy of distributing the awards!"

"Hah ha ha hah!" All Might's famous laugh echoes. He makes a dramatic entrance as the crowd cheers wildly. He begins to pass out the metals, giving Todoroki and Tokoyami hugs and a little chat. "And now, young Bakugo. In a world where we're constantly being compared to one another, there are very few who can keep their eyes focused on the top spot. You're one of them. It's not always going to be a fair battle. Some quirks easily overpower another's." All Might takes the second place medallion, spreading the lanyard part of it out to put over Katsuki's head. "Accept this medal even if you have to think of it as a scar."

"I don't want that piece of garbage!" Katsuki yells.

"Come on now," All Might says, trying to put it over the boy's head.

"Get that trash off me, you idiot!"

The metal ends up in his mouth which he angrily grinds between in his teeth.

"And finally for the first-place winner," All Might says, stepping up onto Mana's platform. "Congrats on winning! You did an outstanding job! You utilized your quirk to an amazing extent! You deserve this!" He places the medal over her head.

"Thank you, All Might."

He gives her a hug like the first two before turning to the audience. "Here they are! The winners of this year's sports festival!" He ends up talking more and then embarrassing himself saying 'thanks for the hard work' instead of 'plus ultra.' Everyone begins to amusedly boo him.

The students get back into their school uniforms to meet up with their homeroom teachers to announce that they had the next two days off to recuperate. Katsuki angrily kept the metal clinched in his mouth.

"Manaaaa!"

Mana turns to find the pink girl bouncing up to her. "Minaaaa!"

Mina tackles the blue girl in a hug. "You won! Good job! Let's go celebrate!"

"I was just about to," Mana responds. "You wanna come with me? My family wanted to take me out to celebrate."

"Yes! My parents weren't able to get off to come watch, but they watched on their phones. Where we going?!" Mina intertwines her arm with Mana's.

"Ah, hold on," Mana says, slipping her arm out of Mina's. She treks over to Bakugo, who's still shaking in his seat. "Katsu?"

"Fuck off, aquagirl," he growls.

"Oh, don't be a sore loser. Come with us to eat. Your parents can come too!"

"Don't wanna."

"Aww, come on. Don't pout. I won fair and square. You're just going to have to take the loss." She snags his phone from his bag. "I'm gonna tell your folks to meet us at the restaurant."

Bakugo springs up. "What?! Give me my damn phone!"

"Come and get it then!" Mana shouts, rushing back toward Mina. "Minaaa! Runn!" She locks their arms again and runs out the school together.

"It's nice to meet you! I'm Ashido Mina!"

"Whoa! Whoa! She looks like you but pink!" Tomoko cackles. "Nice to meet you!"

Each Pussycat introduces themselves to Mina.

"This is my nephew, Kota," Mana says, placing a hand on his back and pushing him forward.

"Hi," Kota grumbles not looking at Mina with his arms crossed.

"Kota."

Kota flinches at Mana's tone and looks up at Mina. "Hi." He immediately returns to looking away.

Mana sighs with a faint sigh. "Well–"

Bakugo comes up behind them and snatches his phone back. "I'm not going with you."

"Too late!" Mana grins. "Your parents already left you to meet us there."

"You act like I can't get home by myself."

She surrounds him in a bubble. "Ah ah! Before you even think about using your quirk, just know that you are surrounded by not only my quirk but your own. Don't wanna cause a big explosion and hurt people, do you?"

He crosses his arms. "Tch!"

"Oh... oh my... Y-You're-You're the Mitsuki! AH!" Mina stutters and squeals.

Mana blinks, tilting her head as she looks at Bakugo's twin. "Whoaaa, Katsu, I didn't know you had a famous twin sister?"

"I don't you, dumbaaaa... adiot!" Glares from both his mother and Mana shut him down.

Kota snickers to himself.

"Huh? Mina?"

"You don't know who she is?!" Mina shouts, pointing at Mitsuki. "She's literally the face of Mitsuki Fashion! You know... one of the biggest Japanese fashion lines in... in the world!"

Mana blinks, shrugging. "Never heard of her. I'm Izumi Manami. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Bakugo Mitsuki," she returns. "Katsuki's mother."

Mama's eyes bulge. "No way?! You're not his twin?!"

She laughs. "You must be the famous 'aquagirl' as you're called. Katsuki talks about you all the time!"

Mana grins, quirking an eyebrow at Bakugo with a teasing grin.

"Talk?!" He laughs. "The right word is complains!"

Everyone introduces each other before settling down for an early dinner.

"Can I have your autograph?! No wait, can I model your clothes?!" Mina blurts out.

"Actually, I need more models that aren't average looking," Mitsuki admits.

"Because we look like aliens, right?!" Mina grins.

"Aliens?" Mana mumbles.

Mitsuki's eyes widen. "You just gave me the next idea for my next line. If you're both up for it, you two can be the stars."

Mina eyes seem to shine. "YES! A MILLION TIMES YES!"
