4.)"How about I show you the true power of my quirk, yeah?"
The morning was ridiculously overwhelming. First there were reporters flocking the front of the school asking about All Might, then the Class Rep craze, then an alarm went off for an intruder, Iida became a physical picture of the exit sign, the intruders turned out to be the paparazzi, Iida ended up becoming Class Rep which was given to him by Midoriya who was voted first.
Now they were going to get dressed, some in their hero costume and some in their gym clothes, then on their way to a rescue facility they go.
Aizawa tells the class that today they're heading to an off campus facility to do rescue training. The hero Thirteen is the creator of the facility.
The class heads off and gets dressed in what they want of their hero costumes. Mana dresses in her full hero suit.
They all head outside to the bus, and Iida immediately takes up his role as class rep, organizing everyone in two lines to get on the bus. Though as it turns out, the bus' layout was an open one, so his plans were completely ruined.
Mana sits beside Bakugo, grinning at him as she does. He rolls his eyes in reply, propping his head onto his fist on the window.
"The bus' open layout ruined my boarding strategy," Iida sulks.
"Iida, you really need to chill," Mina claims.
"If we're pointing out the obvious then there's something I wanna say," Tsu admits, turning to her right to look at Izuku beside her. "About you actually."
"About me? What is it Asui?"
"I told you to call me Tsu."
He blushes and shyly looks down. "Oh... yeah right..."
"That power of yours, isn't it a lot like All Might's?" she asks.
Mana takes her curious gaze off Bakugo and moves it to the main conversation on the bus.
Izuku begins to panic. "What?! Really?! You think so huh?!" He then goes off on a mumble rant.
"Wait, hold on Tsu, you're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself," Kirishima pipes up. "That makes a huge difference."
"That's true!" Mana pipes in.
That seems to calm the greenet down. Then they start to talk about their quirks and how cool, strong, or flashy they are.
"Well if any of our classmates have pro quirks it's Todoroki and Bakugo," Kirishima says, looking at them.
Bakugo looks at him then turns away with a grunt.
"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular."
This irks Bakugo as he slams his hands on the short wall in front of him. "What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!"
"See?"
"Y'know, we've only barely started socializing and already you've made it abundantly clear to us the unpleasantness of your steamed turd of a personality," sparky says.
"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser!" Bakugo shouts. "I'll kill you!"
"Enough, the class needs to encourage each other," Iida interrupts.
"I'm gonna encourage this dumbass to explode!"
"Wait," Kaminari chuckles. "What did you say? Crazy dude."
"Just shut up, sparky!" Bakugo yells.
Mana giggles.
"Alright, you two apologize!" Iida firmly says.
"Sure, he goes first," Kaminari says.
"Like hell I will!"
"Hey, hey. We're here," Aizawa voices, cutting off all conversation. "Stop messing around."
"Whatever!" Bakugo groans out as everyone else says 'yes sir.'
Thirteen introduces herself to everyone and explains where they are and what they'll be doing today.
After she finishes, Aizawa begins to get right into it only to be cut off as the lights crackle and flicker.
"Stay together and don't move," Aizawa demands in hurried panic. "Thirteen, protect the students."
"Whoa, what is that thing?" Kirishima voices, noticing the portal with all the villains walking out. "Wait, has the training started already? I thought we were rescuing people?"
"Stay back!" Aizawa harshly shouts, making the students flinch as he puts his goggles over his eyes. "This is real! Those are real villains."
The students gasp in shock and fright.
"What real villains? No way," Kirishima scoffs. "How could so many of them get into a UA facility this secure?"
Momo pushes her way to the front. "Yeah, Thirteen, why aren't the alarms going off?"
"Good question," she says. "I'm not sure."
"Is the entire campus under attack or is this their only target?" Todoroki questions. "Either way if the alarm systems aren't being triggered then one of these villains must have a quirk that's masking their presence here. They carefully chose this isolated facility as an entry point at a time when a class was being taught. They're fools for trespassing here, but they've thought this out. Whatever their plan, they must have a concrete objective in mind, but what is it?"
After Todoroki voices his thought, it makes everyone much more worried and nervous.
Mana looks down to all the villains, covering her fist in water. "We can take em!"
"Thirteen get them out of here," Aizawa says. "Alert the main campus. Actually, if they got the ability to block our sensors then they might be jamming our regular communications too. Kaminari, try using your quirk to contact the school."
"Yes sir."
"What are you gonna do?!" Izuku shouts in panic. "You can't fight them on your own! There's too many of em... Even if you can nullify their quirks, you're fighting style's not suited for this. Your power works best in stealth and one on one fights. That's not gonna help with a group."
"You can't be a pro if you only have one trick," Aizawa says. "I'll leave it to you, Thirteen." He then jumps and flies down the stairs, taking out villains left and right.
The class begins to run to the entrance, but Izuku remains behind watching their teacher.
"Whoa, he's holding them off. I guess I shouldn't of underestimated him," Izuku mutters.
"This is no time to be analyzing, we have to go!" Iida shouts, gaining his attention, and he follows.
They run and head to the entrance only to get cut off by the giant purple portal that brought all the villains here.
"There is no escape for you," he says. "It's a pleasure to meet you. We are the League of Villains. I know it's impolite, but we decided to invite ourselves into this haven of justice to say 'hello.' And besides, isn't this a fitting place for All Might, the symbol of peace, to take his last breath. I believe he was supposed to be here today, and yet I see no sign of him. There must've been some sort of change in plans we could not foresee. Ah, well, in the end I suppose it doesn't matter. I still have a role to play."
Bakugo and Kirishima rush up quickly to take him out. Bakugo lets off a big explosion, kicking up smoke around the area.
"Did you really think we were gonna stand here and let you tear this place to shreds?" Kirishima says with a grin, arms hardened.
The two boys stand together with grins, thinking they succeeded until the smoke clears some in front of them. The man portal begins to reform.
"You live up to your school's reputation, but you should be more careful, children, otherwise someone might get hurt."
"You two! Get out of the way right now!" Thirteen commands.
"I'll scatter you across this facility to meet my comrades and your death!" purple portal growls, sending out tendrils of his quirk.
"Ah, crap what is this!" Kirishima grunts as he's completely enveloped.
Over half of the students get warped around the facility.
Four particular students get warped to the shipwreck zone area.
Midoriya Izuku is released from the warp gate far above water, making him scream before sinking down into the water. His thoughts get overrun as he makes his way up to be able to breathe properly. It's almost too late before he realizes a villain was headed his way. He screams releasing the breath he had held. Before the villain is even close to him, the shark villain is seemingly grabbed by water and flung far away through it.
A body is materialized from the water, reaching out and grabbing him before dragging him to the surface.
He takes a breath of air as he breached the water then screams. He's quick to notice that the person made of water has Tsu and Mineta in it's other... hands. Mineta is screaming as Tsu just looks scared.
"A-Asui! Mineta!"
"I-I told you to call me Tsu!" she retorts as the three are gently placed onto the ship nearby.
Izuku flushes. "S-Sorry! Tsu! Tsu! Tsu! I got it!"
Tsu tilts her head as the water that lifted them up sinks back into the water. "Do you know what saved us?"
"What the hell was it?!" Mineta shouts, shaking. "A nice villain?! Or are they going to kill us slowly?!"
"No ide–" Midoriya is cut off.
A geyser of water shoots up, and Mana lands on the deck from it. "Sorry if I scared the three of you! I couldn't really give you guys a warning before the villains grabbed you."
The three of them look at her confused.
"What are you talking about, M-Manami?" Izuku asks for them.
Mana blinks. "I saved you? I brought the three of you on the ship?"
"That was you?!" they shout.
"I thought your quirk was water weapons?!" Izuku shouts surprised.
Mana laughs. "You three are so funny!" The three remain silent as she laughs, drawing her attention and making her stop laughing. "Wait, you're... serious?"
"Yes!" they all shout.
"Oh," she chuckles. "No, my quirk is called water body." Her body becomes see throughish and liquidy. "My whole body is water, so punches, bullets, and anything similar just pass through my body. I'm able to merge with a body of water and vanish completely in it. I can do whatever I want with water. My body naturally produces it, so I have to use it every once in a while or I get a really bad case of waterlog."
"That's incredible!" Izuku chirps, starting to ask her a millions questions a minute. "Can you change the temperature?! Absorb it? Manipulate it? How are you able to get shots? Do you get shots? What happens to your clothes when you turn into water? Do they turn into water too? Do you get sick or can you just flush the sickness out? Can–"
"Midoriya, now's really not the time for this," Tsu deadpans, cutting him off.
"Ah! You're right! Sorry As—Tsu..."
"Hey, Mineta, you're able to stick things together with your quirk, right?" Mana asks, looking into the water below to find them surrounded by villains.
He pops off one of the purple balls on his head for it to immediately regrow. "Yep!"
"Good, I want you to throw as many into the water as you can," she says, stepping up onto the rail.
"Manami! What're you doing?!" Izuku shouts. "There's a bunch of villains down there!"
She turns around, grinning at him. "How about I show you the true power of my quirk, yeah?" She tilts herself back and falls backwards into the water.
"Manami!" the three shout, rushing to the edge and trying to grab her.
A shark villain is right underneath her path who grins as she gets closer only for him to get splashed in the face. She turns into water as he punches her, and she merges into the water below. The villain looks around confused.
"Where'd she go?!" Mineta screams. "He killed her!"
The water begins to get dangerous and rough below the three UA students and a huge whirlpool forms about 100 yards away from the ship. A giant figure of water emerges from the middle, towering over the boat and the trees on the land nearby.
The three remaining on the boat look at the giant of water in shock. "Is that Manami?!"
"She's as big as Mt. Lady!" Izuku shouts.
"I think I just pissed my pants..." Mineta mumbles, pressing his legs together. "She's freakin scary..."
The villains all get pulled towards her, screaming as they do.
"Ah, Mineta! Throw your quirk!" Izuku recalls.
"Oh right!" Mineta shouts, pulling off his sticky balls and throwing them at the villains in the water. "Take that you damn villains!"
All the villains get trapped in the vortex and get stuck together before Manami keeps them stuck to the bottom of the fake lake. Mana easily walks over to the boat as all the water from the lake is now sucked into her body. She holds a hand out for the three to jump on. "Come on, sensei needs help."
The three students nod quickly, climbing onto her hand before she walks to the main battle in the middle of the USJ. She drops her classmates down by what would've been the shore if there was still water.
"What're we gonna do?!" Mineta squeaks, seeing villains all looking in their direction.
Manami's size draws everyone's attention. She steps up onto the ground, footsteps shaking the ground, and stomps into the area, sucking in villains through her hands or feet if she steps on them. They pass out from lack of air, and she discards them by flinging them into the water zone on the ball of stuck together villains.
The blue haired man known as Shigaraki growls, scratching his neck. "There's another final boss! This isn't how it was supposed to go!"
Aizawa takes down the few villains left near him before looking up at the giant water girl. Who is that? Is that Izumi?
All the simple villains are defeated.
Shigaraki makes his way over to Aizawa being cut off by Manami as she grabs him in her hand, bringing him to her face. "You're the leader here?" She looks down to the giant black muscled beast, moving down to grab him as well. "I assume this is who you were gonna use to take down and kill All Might?"
"Nomu! Kill her!" Shigaraki shouts.
The being now known as Nomu screeches and begins to thrash in her hand, making Mana clutch it tighter. She moves the Nomu to her stomach, shoving him inside to knock him out from lack of air.
"I don't think he's going to be helping or killing anyone," Mana responds as the Nomu struggles to get out. "How about you join him?"
"NO! NOO!" Shigaraki shouts, thrashing around and trying to disintegrate her. "You damn kid! How can we be defeated so–" He's drowned out by getting sucked underwater.
Mana bends down into a squat as Aizawa walks up to her.
"Izumi?"
"It's me, sensei," she nods, voice booming.
"How long are you able to keep this up?"
"I don't really know," she answers. "I've never really gotten this tall and big before. I usually just take in a small pond for practice never something of this magnitude."
"Do you feel like you can keep it up longer?"
"Oh yeah, I don't feel tired at all yet."
He sighs. "I would rather not have you do this, but it's for the best." He looks to the Nomu who's still struggling. "Hope you can keep this up until back up arrives."
"You got it," she salutes, standing up and looking to the front to find Iida leave out the entrance. "How are we going to take down the warp villain though? I won't be able to trap him if he can teleport."
"I can handle him," Aizawa responds, dripping some eye drops into his dry eyes. "If you were taken to another area, that means so were some of your other classmates."
"I can go help!" Mana responds.
"No, they should be able to handle these villains. I want you to stay in my vision. If those two get loose, it'll be trouble."
Manami feels Shigaraki pass out and moves him up to her chest, sticking only his head out for air. The nomu still continues to thrash around.
Izuku, Tsu, and Mineta rush up from behind her. "Sensei!"
Aizawa seems to relax a bit. "I'm glad you're all alright."
A rip from above is heard, grabbing their attention.
Kurogiri, the warp villain, rips the back of Thirteen's suit, making her incapacitated.
"Thirteen is out!" Mana reports.
"Dammit!" Aizawa shouts, racing up the stairs.
Mana scoops him up in her hand and gets him up there quicker.
Kurogiri gasps upon seeing the trapped nomu and the leader. "Shigaraki Tomura... No..."
All Might takes that moment to blast through the doors. "Have no fear students... for I am here."
"Shit..." Kurogiri grunts, trying to use his quirk to teleport.
"If you think you're going to get out of here, you're mistaken," Aizawa replies, keeping his quirk focused on Kurogiri.
~~~
Todoroki, Kirishima, and Bakugo arrive at the fountain square.
"Dude, didn't there used to be water over here?" Kirishima questions, looking at the boat wreck area.
"Where's the big fight?!" Bakugo shouts, looking around. "All the villains are gone!"
Shoto looks up to the front to find Manami. "I believe I've found where all the water went."
"Huh?!" Bakugo grunts, following his line of sight. His eyes widen. "What the fuck...?"
"Who is that?!" Kirishima shouts.
"Well, they have to be a hero of some sort," Shoto says, catching a glance of the two villains trapped inside the water's body. "Look, the two villains are trapped inside of her."
"I don't know of any female heroes that are able to do that," Kirishima thinks.
"Who cares, let's get up there!" Bakugo shouts, running up the stairs.
The two other boys follow behind him.
The nomu finally stops thrashing, making Manami move his head out to breathe.
Aizawa turns to All Might, whispering low enough for him to hear. "I can't keep my quirk up much longer. Can you knock him out?"
All Might moves fast, knocking a Texas smash straight into Kurogiri's neck brace. It throws the man back, Aizawa does a quick blink, and Kurogiri disappears. He reappears beside Shigaraki and warps them back to their base.
"Dammit!" Aizawa shouts.
Mana kneels to the ground panting a bit. "Urgh..."
The three boys arrive as she does.
"Izumi, are you okay?!" Aizawa rushes out, moving to her.
"Izumi?!" everyone shouts, except Aizawa, Izuku, Tsu, and Mineta.
"Yeah, just lost some water," she replies as the hole from the warp easily refills. "Never had that happen before. It felt a little weird."
"How the fuck are you a giant!?" Bakugo shouts.
She turns to look. "Ah! Kacchan! You're okay! I'm glad." She moves the nomu into her hand and drops it to the ground.
"Don't fucking call me that!"
Her form flickers and returns to looking like her but giant.
"Whoa, it really is you Manami!" Kirishima grins. "I didn't know you could do that with your quirk!"
"You guys didn't think I could just make water weapons, did you?" she laughs. "You guys are so funny!"
Bakugo just stares up at her in awed annoyance.
"Your quirk is so freaking manly! I guess we should add you to the list of pro quirks in the class!" Kirishima says.
She leans down, setting her hand out in front of the three boys. "Hop up!"
"Seriously?! So cool!" Kirishima shouts, lifting himself up and turning to the other two. "You guys coming?"
Todoroki doesn't answer, leaving to the front of the building with the rest of the students.
Bakugo crosses his arms. "Fuck no!"
"Aww, come on, Kacchan!" Mana teases, lightly bumping his legs with her hand.
He rolls his eyes and climbs up. She lifts the two up, placing Bakugo on her right shoulder and Kirishima on her left.
"Whoaaaaa! This is so cool!" Kirishima yells, looking around. "I can see everything from up here!"
"Everyone looks like ants beneath me," Bakugo grins.
"Ah! Manami! It looks like Yaoyorozu, Kaminari, and Jiro are in trouble!" Kirishima declares loudly, pointing in their direction.
Manami sees the giant beam of electricity fly around, wincing a bit to herself. "I'll take the two of you there to help. I'll go to the other areas."
The two look at her confused.
"Alright," Kirishima says.
"There's no need," All Might says. "I can handle everything from here." He disappears in a run.
"Leave it to All Might," Aizawa says. "Izumi, can you help carry out Thirteen for me?"
"Sure!"
~~~
Back up has finally arrived. Meaning the other pro hero teachers have arrived along with the police.
It takes a bit before all the students are gathered at the front. After they all make their way outside, they find the outside is full of police officers and vehicles as villains are walked out and loaded into the bigger vehicles.
A detective in a trench coat manages the students. "16, 17, 18, 19..." He looks down at his paper and up at the giant Manami. "And 20. Everyone seems to be unharmed."
All the students begin to converse with each other in little groups to get all the pieces together of the whole story for what just happened.
"Izumi! I never knew you were able to grow to the size of a giant!" Momo pipes up.
"Yeah, my whole body is made of water! Oh, speaking of... I should probably get rid of all this access water before I begin to get waterlogged!"
"Go back inside and release it back into the ship wreck zone," Aizawa says. "They already gathered all the villains stuck together from it."
"Okay!"
~~~
"Let's go ahead and get these students back to the main campus. They've been through a lot. We don't need to question them right away," the detective tells an officer nearby.
Momo, Mina, and Jiro rush up to the detective.
"Sir, what about Thirteen?" Mina asks for the three girls.
"There's no need to worry there. Despite some pretty bad lacerations to the back, Thirteen is going to pull through good as new."
The girls sigh in relief. "That's good."
"Oh, thank goodness," Uraraka sighs.
"Now, let's get you back to class."
"Okay," everyone responds, getting onto the bus beside them.
The bus ride is silent as they return to the school. Everyone is contemplating what just happened.
~~~
The rest of the school day was cancelled for 1A. They were sent home to rest from such a fairly overwhelming experience. They have only been into the year for a few days. Being attacked by villains is overkill and never should've happened.
Parents of the students were called to come pick up their children.
Mana smiles to herself as she slips down the hallway with her things, happy the day has been cut short. It means that she's able to pick Kota up earlier, and they can finally go on the much needed shopping trip they've been putting off for being too tired. Mana does only get Sundays off now since UA has school on Saturday too.
On Saturdays when Mana has school, she has a babysitter to watch Kota till she gets home. She would make her go to the market to get things, but she doesn't trust anyone to protect her Kota like she can.
"Izumi."
She turns around at the call of her name to find Aizawa. "Sensei?"
"As you don't have a guardian to pick you up, I'm going to accompany you home to make sure any villains won't come after you."
"Oh, okay! I have my nephew to pick up from school though."
"That's fine. We'll pick him up too. Lead the way."
The two head out the school to find Bakugo and Present Mic walking in front of them.
"Kacchan!" she calls, skipping up to them. "You don't have a ride either?"
An irk mark appears on his forehead. "I told you not to call me that! Like it's any of your business, but they're busy."
Aizawa and Mic fall back to talk as the two students converse.
She stops beside him. "So, you obviously have nothing to do now, so you're coming with me to pick up Kota!"
"What?! I never agreed to fucking doing that!"
She gives him a big smile and skips off down the street as he tries to pull himself from her grip. She either doesn't seem to notice his struggling or doesn't seem to care as she continues skipping. He's having a hard time keeping up, but he refuses to skip with her. He refuses to run too.
He decides to release some explosions from his gripped hand to try to get her to let go. It doesn't work. Her hand just ripples.
"That tickles!"
"What the fuck?" he mutters. "What the hell are you?"
Mana laughs. "My quirk is called water body." Her whole body becomes water but keeps her form. Her clothes don't change into water like her hero suit did. They remain in place. "See? I can't get cut or shot! It'll just pass right through me!" She returns to normal.
He eyes her clothes. "Your uniform didn't change with you."
"Oh, that's cause they're just normal clothes! My hero suit is made with my hair, so it'll change with me. Most of my training clothes are actually my hair... I can shave my whole head, but it'll return to this length overnight cause my body produces water constantly. It'll regrow for that reason. It's why I need to use my quirk a lot too, or I'll get waterlogged. If I use it too much I get dehydrated headaches and possibly pass out."
He thinks as they get through the train scanner and to the standing area to wait for the train. She lets his hand go, and he harshly pulls it back to himself then crosses his arms. The two teachers stand behind them, observing the area instead of listening to their students.
"Is that how you became a giant?"
"Nope! Well... I guess I could but that's how I get waterlogged. But, if I use another source of water I don't! I absorbed all the water in the boat zone which is why I was a giant!"
"So your quirk isn't completely useless."
"Nope! I'm also able to shoot water too!"
"Huh."
The train screeches to a stop in front of them, and the people pile inside. The two manage to get a seat beside each other. Their teachers stand in front of them backs to them.
"Sooooo? What about you? What happens if you go overboard with your quirk?" she asks.
He scoffs. "Like I'd ever tell you."
She pouts up at him, blinking her eyes. "Please?"
He looks at her puppy dog eyes and huffs. "My forearms cramp up and become really painful..."
"Aaah! That makes sense!" She yawns and leans against his shoulder. "Man, I'm tired! I need a nap!"
He shoved her off. "Get off! Nap at home!"
She laughs. "Sounds like a plan! Wanna join me?"
"Wh-What?! What the hell i-is wrong with you?!"
She laughs again. "I was just kidding! We'd have to be really good friends if we cuddled! We aren't there yet." She smiles.
"We won't be there ever."
"We'll see."
It's silent between the two for the rest of the train ride.
Once the train stops at their destination, Mana grabs his wrist and tugs him again.
"Why is your grip so fucking strong?!" he huffs as he's tugged along behind her.
The teaching pros follow behind quickly.
She pulls him all the way to the elementary school and into the front office. "Hello!"
The office lady looks up at her. "Hello, how can I help the two of you?"
The two pros must've decided to stay outside the front of the building.
"I'm here to pick up my nephew. I'm Izumi Manami," Mana resounds, releasing Bakugo's wrist. "His name is Izumi Kota. He's in Sugawara sensei's class! He also won't be at school tomorrow."
The lady nods, going off into the room with the mic to the speakers of the school. She presses the button to Kota's sensei's room, calling out for the child. She returns after she finishes. "He should be up here in a few minutes. You can take a seat over there if you'd like to sit down."
"Thank you," Mana smiles, moving over to sit in one of the chairs. As she does, she pats the seat beside her. "Come on, Kacchan."
His eye twitches. "How did you even manage to drag me here again?"
"Because I literally dragged you here?"
He crosses his arms with an eye roll and plops down on the seat beside her.
A few minutes later, the door to the office is swung open, revealing Kota.
He smiles, running to her once he sees her. "Mana-oba!"
"Kota!" She spreads her arms out to engulf him in a hug which he runs into happily.
"Why am I leaving so early? Don't you have school?"
"Well, school was cancelled early today because our lesson was interrupted."
"We were attacked by villains kid," Bakugo huffs out.
"What?!" he gasps. "Are you okay?!" He looks over her and Bakugo for any injuries to not find any.
"Don't worry about me! I'm super strong, so I took those villains down real quick!"
His expression becomes a bit proud. "I didn't doubt you for a second."
She grins, stands up, and ruffles his hair. "Come on, we need to go shopping for food."
Kota looks at Bakugo who stands up. "I see you're here again."
A tick mark appears on Bakugo's forehead as his eye twitches. He clicks his tongue. "Not like I wanna be! I was dragged here!"
Mana heads to the door and holds it open for the two boys.
"Keep telling yourself that," Kota replies with a shrug, heading out the door.
Bakugo clinches his fists. "Little shit..." he grumbles before exiting.
The two UA teachers look up once the front door to the school opens, seeing their students and the little boy.
Mic chuckles, seeing the tension between the two boys. "Looks like little man doesn't like Bakugo too much."
"I think the only person who likes Bakugo would be Izumi for some odd reason. I'm still trying to figure that one out," Aizawa replies to his friend.
Mana heads up to the two teachers. "Thanks for accompanying us. I think that we're good now."
"Not until you're all safely inside your homes," Aizawa replies.
"Oh, well, we gotta get food for the house. We have nothing to make," Mana says. "I didn't wanna waste your time anymore. Ah, how about you all eat lunch with Kota and I?! As a thank you and since we didn't get lunch today."
"We couldn't impo–"
"No, I insist."
"Well, I don't have anything to do after this," Mic says, looking to Aizawa. "What about you?"
Aizawa sighs, slumping his shoulders. "It'd be rude to turn you down."
Mana grins and does a single clap. "Yay! Alright, let's go Kacchan!"
"I never fu—...never agreed to go with you!"
"What, you got something better to do?" she asks.
He snarls. "Anything but this!"
Kota rolls his eyes. "You're going."
"Who decided that you speak for me?!"
Mic turns to Aizawa. "I'm sorry. I now understand why you hate being around me."
Aizawa rolls his eyes. "Guess his screaming is payback for all those years of your own."
"Hey! Shut up! I can hear you!" Bakugo screams.
Mana wraps her arm around Bakugo's and off to the market they go.
~~~
Mana decides to make chicken curry since there's so many people. Especially since three of those people are grown men, they'll eat a lot. Well, so will she with her need for calories too.
As it turns out, the Izumi's and Bakugo live one street apart. Bakugo got annoyed until she told him they only moved in like 2 years ago.
In front of the Izumi residence, is a large puddle. There's no way to avoid it to get through the front door as it seemingly goes around the whole house like a shallow moat.
Aizawa looks at it confused. "It hasn't rained in weeks. Why is there a moat around your house?"
"Oh, I always keep it full using my quirk," Manami answers as she walks through it followed by Kota, and she unlocks the front door. "Let's me know about the people that enter my house. Just make sure you wipe your feet off good on the welcome mat before taking your shoes off."
The three men follow behind them, doing as she said.
After setting the groceries down, everyone goes to their respected places. Mana pulls out the extended part of the extended table out to fit all the guests. Kota is in his room doing homework. The three men are hanging in the living room.
"Is it just the two of you here?" Aizawa asks as Mana sets up the table.
"Yeah, just Kota and I," she replies. "My parents died when I was his age then I was taken care of by my older brother. Even when he got married and had Kota. Then they were killed on duty by a villain."
"Sorry for your loss."
She shrugs. "It happens."
"They were heroes?" Mic asks.
"The Water Hose heroes," she answers, heading back into the kitchen to serve the now finished curry.
"Oh."
"Yep, now it's just me and Kota."
"You're alone?"
"Well, we have the Pussycats."
"Ah," Aizawa nods, seemingly relaxing at knowing they do in fact have a guardian.
Bakugo just looks at them confused. Why would her saying they have fucking cats reassure them?
Mana returns, carrying all the plates using her quirk. She gently sets them down on the table. "Kota! Lunch!"
His little footsteps are heard from upstairs then down the stairs. He sits at the table spot with the smallest plate. The three men come to sit at the table with the largest potions of food. Mana sits in her usual spot.
"Itadakimasu!" Kota says happily and begins to dig into the curry.
Mana chuckles as the other three at the table say the same and start to eat.
"It's good," Aizawa says.
She smiles. "My brother's wife taught me all about cooking, so I'm happy you enjoy it." She looks to Bakugo who looks a bit annoyed. "Do you like it?"
"It's fine, just not to my tastes."
"What's your tastes then?"
"I like my food spicy," he replies.
"Oh! I can fix that! Hold on!" She gets up from the table, heading back into the kitchen and starts rummaging through a drawer. She pulls out a small bottle of spice. On the label it has a skull and crossbones with a flame behind it. She pops the top open and sprinkles a little bit of it on top of his curry. "This should satisfy you!"
He tries it, and it takes a few seconds for him to taste the heat. "Fuck! Are you trying to kill me?!"
She laughs. "I bought this from a store specializing in hot sauce and spices. This was their hottest spice. I had to sign a waiver to buy it. Not cheap either."
Bakugo looks at her then back at his food and coughs. "I'm gonna need one."
~~~
Bakugo sighs, looking at his phone and reading that neither of his parents will make it home tonight.
Everyone has finished eating their portion of curry and are now getting ready to leave.
"Bakugo, are you ready?" Mic calls out from the front door, shuffling on his shoes.
Mana, being Mana, reads the text that Bakugo got from over his shoulder. "Oh!"
Bakugo flinches, whirling around towards her. "Don't sneak up on me and fucking scream in my ear!"
"Oops! Hey, I read your text."
"Why?!"
"I was wondering why you looked so sad. Anyway, how about you stay over since we don't have school tomorrow? It's no fun being home alone! We can let our senseis head home instead of taking you home. It'll be a fun little sleepover! We can watch movies all night!"
"Fuck no!"
She shoves him back onto the couch and keeps him in place with her quirk as well as covering his mouth. She gives him an 'innocent' grin then rushes to the front with their teachers. "Kacchan is gonna sleep over here instead of go home as his parents won't be home till tomorrow."
Aizawa blinks at her, trying to figure out how she convinced him to stay. He shrugs not caring all too much to think on it. "I'll message his parents of the news to let them make sure. He's not to leave until tomorrow."
"Hai, sensei!" She salutes. "I'll let him know you said that!"
