The girls followed Rosalind as she led them to the stone circle. They couldn't believe how smart she was as she informed the girls all about the stone circle's history before Alfea. She spoke as if she was hundreds of years old.

"Be quiet," Rosalind commanded, pulling the girls to her before snapping her fingers. Just like how Stella had done in the suite, the girls seemed to disappear as they watched Dowling approach the stone circle a few seconds later.

Enola practically held her breath as she watched her stand only a few feet away. It felt like she was playing hide and go seek when she was younger. The fear that came from almost getting caught, except there was also a bit of guilt for lying. The mind fairy ignored that feeling, though as she knew they needed Rosalind's help.

The headmistress looked around the area for a few minutes before reaching into her trench coat to pull out her phone. She typed away on it for a few seconds before putting it back.

Bloom moved to take a small step, thinking that Dowling was leaving, causing her to look over in their direction. Both teenagers froze as they made eye contact with Dowling for a second as they worried she'd caught them, but sure enough, the older woman left the circle, not looking back.

Enola let out a deep breath once Rosalind made them appear once again. Moving back to the stone circle as she began to retrieve magic from the core rock.

Enola peered over to the direction that Dowling was walking to in confusion, "I thought you said you were too weak to perform magic?"

"Yet you were able to make us invisible," Bloom scoffed, her doubts beginning to settle in as she realized what they had done. If Rosalind was as dangerous as Dowling had told her, then she may have truly messed up.

Enola's thoughts mirrored Bloom, although she couldn't bring herself to act on them. No matter how terrible Rosalind was, she was able to provide both girls with something that nobody else could: Answers.

The mind fairy was beginning to see why Rosalind was so powerful and manipulative. She had the ability to know exactly what people wanted and how to use them because of it. It was a dangerous form of helplessness that Enola felt, but she didn't want to run away.

"In the stone circle, I can draw on the magic of the land," Rosalind said as her eyes focused on the magic stemming from the Vessel, "That is why I had you bring me here. Recharge the old batteries."

"What happened at Aster Dell," Bloom asked, not caring too much about Rosalind gaining power.

Rosalind smiled as she looked over to Bloom and Enola, "Everything Farah told you is true. I lied to them. I told them it was evacuated, and it wasn't."

Enola was beginning to understand why people called her loony. The look in her eyes as she proudly told the teenage girls that she murdered an entire town was incredible, almost as if it was a life's achievement. She could care less about the collateral damage.

"So you killed those innocent people," Enola deadpanned, as she began to second guess their decision.

"That is where it gets complicated," Rosalind rose her finger up, "It is a natural tenant of the Otherworld that only fairies can do magic. The settlers of Aster Dell were the exception. They were humans that drew power on sacrifice and death. Blood Witches."

"Wait," Bloom began as she stumbled back.

"So when the burned ones descended on them," Rosalind spoke, her voice getting louder as her anger increased, "I saw my opportunity to destroy them both."

"They were still people," Enola scoffed, her eyes watering as she thought back to what she saw that day. The mother holding her child as she tried to sacrifice herself for her daughter to still have a life. She may not have been perfect, but she still was human. She still loved and was loved, "I saw it."

Rosalind smiled as she looked over to Enola, "That is because you were able to unlock new magic, dear. That woman's spirit was still there. She wanted you to pity her."

"So you are telling me I can talk to ghosts," Enola scoffed at all the new information she was learning about her magic.

"I am telling you what I have always said," the older woman smirked, "You are special, as is Bloom. You were able to connect to a spirit's thoughts because she sent it to you. But this isn't Casper the musical," Rosalind sneered, causing Enola to look down embarrassedly.

"If the settlers of Aster Dell were witches and my parents were fairies then," Bloom began to trail off as she tried to put everything together in her head. It appeared that the fire fairy had gained nothing in return for setting Rosalind loose.

"You're right," Rosalind nodded her head, "Your parents aren't from Aster Dell. You were kidnapped by the witches. Your fairy parents were nowhere to be found."

"Wait," Bloom said, as her thoughts were filled with a renewed hope for her birth parents, "My parents could still be out there? Why aren't you looking for them?"

"You weren't safe," Rosalind said, still eerily calm as if nothing ever affected her, "The power inside you is too great. That is why the witched wanted you to use your power. That is why the burned ones outside the barrier want you to, to get rid of you before you use it on them."

"They've been after me the entire time," Bloom asked, causing Rosalind to smile at the poor confused girl.

Enola was just as confused as Bloom, although it had nothing to do with her parents and everything to do with their power. Why was Rosalind so insistent that their power is special.

"Sucks to be special sometimes," Rosalind smiled, "But now you both have me, and that is going to suck for the burned ones even more."

"Why," Enola asked, walking to stand closer to Bloom, as she was still not sure if they would need to run from Rosalind, "How are we a threat to the burned ones?"

"Ready for trick number two, girls?"

Bloom and Enola turned to each other before hesitantly nodding, as they were unsure of what Rosalind would teach them next. The old fairy seemed to have a surplus of tricks up her sleeve that made Dowling look like nothing more than some little five-year-old teaching from a coloring book.

Enola wondered how Rosalind acquired all this knowledge, but also why Dowling was so insistent. She remains hidden as if she was such an asset. In the hour that she has known the woman, she has learned about two new abilities.

"Good," Rosalind nodded her head before instructing the two girls to stand beside each other, "Now, dig deeper than you ever have before. What you did to free me is just a fraction of the magic you both need."

Enola shut her eyes as she tried to do as Rosalind told her. Her powers weren't as easy as Blooms. They weren't some tangible element. They were thoughts. Opening her eyes once again, she turned to Rosalind, "I can't-"

"Yes, you can," the woman grit out as she looked over at the mind fairy, "Dowling thinks that mind fairies don't have any true powers, but they contain the same glowing spark that every other fairy does, and you, my dear, can use that spark to fabricate thoughts. Real tangible thoughts that can make the same amount of damage as an Irish banshee in winter. Now stop crying and FOCUS!"

Enola clenched her eyes shut again, ignoring the heat she felt from Bloom as she summoned her powers beside her. Focusing on what Rosalind told her, the mind fairy summoned the burning magic inside her, feeling as it expanded. Just as in the stone circle, she opened her eyes, rocking her hand as a large sound wave appeared of her own thoughts pulsating pink.

"Good," Rosalind smiled as she watched the girls look over at their arms as they began to swarm with sparks of their elements coming to the surface.

Enola shook her head as she watched the sound wave begin to encompass her arms, "What if I lose control?"

"Control limits you," Rosalind shook her head as she looked over to a scared Bloom as she began to shake her arms, "Fear is weakness. You need to enjoy relish in that feeling of power as it takes over your body."

Enola's eyes burned pink as she looked up, allowing the fear to take over her as I replaced it with a power rush. Enjoying the shivers running down her spine as she felt her hair begin to sweep up into the wind.

The feeling was like nothing Enola ever felt before. It was liberating and free like she was in nirvana. The addictive feeling only strengthened as Enola pushed herself further. It didn't even feel straining as her powers increased, more like she was running downhill, as her magic pulled her further. She felt like she was floating.

"Your powers are like a wildflower," Rosalind spoke to the girls, "And with the right people around you..."

A light burning sensation sprouted from her back, but Enola didn't care as she moved to push herself even further until...Both Enola and Bloom stopped as they were knocked back into reality. Their powers faded away as they realized that they were doing exactly what they said they wouldn't. They had allowed Rosalind to get into their head, use them as pawns in her own game.

"You mean with you around us," Enola scoffed as she spun around to face Rosalind in disbelief. The older woman was no better than Dowling or Beatrix. They all wanted her for some end goal.

"You want us to listen to you and trust you and let you guide us," Bloom scoffed, allowing her anger to take control, "We just met you. You hid me from Mrs. Dowling. You didn't tell anyone I existed. I almost killed my family," her voice broke off, as tears swarmed her eyes, "You left me in the First World with no guidance."

Enola couldn't believe they almost trusted her. Rosalind was no better than anyone else. She was just manipulative.

"The guidance you needed was love," Rosalind said, still no true emotions being revealed by her expression, "Farah couldn't give that to you. Vanessa and Michael could."

"You know their names," Bloom whispered, unable to believe that Rosalind did research prior to dropping her off in California. It was a pretty hard pill to swallow that this was a well thought out plan conducted in two days.

"I knew they were about to lose a daughter," Rosalind shrugged, "I gave them a second chance. I gave you a hiding place from the monsters that wanted you dead," Rosalind approached the girls, putting a hand on each of their shoulders, "I will always look out for you. And when this is over, Bloom, I will help you look for your parents, and Enola, I will finally help you understand your powers."

Enola stood frozen as she looked at the woman who seemed too good to be true. It felt like she was making a deal with the devil as Rosalind so easily promised to solve all of Enola's problems. Bloom didn't know what to do either as the mind fairy tried to find more guidance from her friend.

A binging noise from Bloom's friends pulled them out of their reverie as she pulled it out to read a text from Stella informing the girls they are locked into their suite while burned ones are in school.

Enola's heart froze up as her mind flew to everyone in the school that she cared about: Aisha, Terra, Stella, Musa, Sam. They were all in danger, and she didn't even know about it because she had decided to take a hike with a war zealot.

"We need to go," Enola said as she looked over at Bloom, who nodded her head before turning to Rosalind. The woman didn't seem fazed by the information not did she seem apt to help as she stood in her spot unmoving.

"Are you charged up enough? Can you help?"

"She isn't going to help," Enola spoke, her eyes glowing pink as she saw the answer before Rosalind even said it. She still had mixed feeling about the older woman but couldn't help but acknowledge the fact that she would be able to help her.

Rosalind smiled as she looked over to Enola, a sense of pride burning in her eyes, "But you don't need it."
