Enola smiled as she sat near her bed, lightly playing with the pink flowers that Terra had given her. The earth fairy had been right about how similar they were. Whenever Enola felt overwhelmed or alone, the flowers would always be a solitary reminder of how normal she truly was, how she was like everyone else at the core.

Enola sighed as she looked out of her bedside window, watching the rain softly patter against the glass. The entire suite was still a bit tense, leaving the twins to have to put up with their mixed feelings about everything going on. Almost as if Sam was able to read her mind, a voice appeared in her head.

'I can be there in just 45 seconds. Just say the word.'

She smiled as her eyes glowed a faint pink as she blindly reached over for her phone. Just as she grabbed onto the device, Terra broke out of her thoughts, "What're you seeing?"

"Nothing," Enola rushed, looking up at the earth fairy, before relaxing a bit as she remembered that Terra knew about their relationship now, "Sorry," she winced, "Old habits die hard."

"Keep them up," Terra laughed, "I don't want to know about some weird mental sext you get from, bluech, my brother."

"Second that," Musa shouted from her bed, not looking up from the phone as she listen to their conversation.

Enola smiled as she recalled what the two had spoken about last night. They had spent two hours arguing over the best Disney movie before discussing what they would do when they graduated. All completely innocent for the most part, with a few flirtatious comments in the mix.

"All I do is sext your brother in your mind," Enola asked, with a smile, trying to act more laid back than she truly felt about Terra's slight separation from the girl, "Don't I?"

'Or I could just come by anyways.'

Enola smirked before looking back up at Terra in confusion, Another plant?"

Musa sighed as she pulled off her headphones, looking over at the mind fairy, nodding her head, "Stella plant exorcism for the past few days has reached a new level of extreme."

"I can see," Enola laughed as they followed Terra into Stella's room, which looked more like the greenhouse than a bedroom anymore as there were literally plants scattering every single free space possible. Enola even noticed a grassy patch near her bed.

"An empty room really creeps me out," Terra began, as she nervously spun the pot in her hands, "We have to accept she isn't coming back. It's been a week. And no matter how much we wonder what she's doing or text or call or check her Insta or Snapchat..."

"Wait, do you miss Stella," Musa laughed, unable to believe that Stella's least favorite suitemate missed her the most.

"No," Terra shook her head, "She was mean and left without saying goodbye," her voice wobbled, "Which is the probably meanest thing she could have done."

"What you like me to insult you," Musa asked jokingly, "Would that make you feel better?"

"No, no," Terra bubbled before she paused, "Well maybe, like my outfit," the earth fairy asked, fiddling with the ends of her green pajama set, "I made it myself...isn't that weird?"

Musa was about to open her mouth when a crash noise occurred from the plant-filled bedroom causing all the girls to snap their heads over to the room. Enola's eyes glowed pink as she heard Stella's thoughts.

'Shit.'

A smirk fell on her lips as she looked directly at where Stella stood knowingly before shaking her head. Turning back to the girls who were looking back at the broken pot in shock, "Let's agree it's green enough."

Training continued for the next few days with the same rigor, as it appeared that their more basic classes had been completely disregarded. Enola had been doing support for the rest of the week after her stunt with Riven. Unlike Harvey and Silva, Dowling believed that the mind fairy should work more on support.

The headmistress's great idea landed her right next to her sister as they walked around the entire campus, stalking the students. Dowling claimed it was to check their morale, but Enola believed it had more to do with testing their loyalty, which would also explain why Dowling didn't let the twins out of her sight.

The only positive thing to come out of support rounds with Dowling was learning more about her abilities. The extra practice was going a long way as she tried to help Enola learn how to break through mental barriers.

Didn't stop Enola from leaping at the chance to help pick up some of the training supplies and put them back. The boring task of cleaning was ten times better than the mental strain of listening to everyone's thoughts at once.

"You really must like that big stick," Riven joked, walking up to the small fairy after dropping his exercise. He watched as she was spinning the stick in her hands as she walked over to put it away.

Enola's face melted into that of disgust as she spun the stick over to hit Riven in the face, knowing he would be able to block her blow, "I'll take that as a yes."

"Gross, Riv," Enola wrinkled her nose before moving to lean on the stick as she nodded her head over to his station, "Why are you back to individual training?"

"They don't want me supporting," Riven sighed, "So they stuck me to an easier task."

Enola's eyes glowed as dark and cruel thoughts filled her head concerning the school. Dowling had the mind fairy on hyperalert to the point where anyone's thoughts about the school automatically appeared in her mind. Riven's were no different, "You really don't like this place, do you?"

Riven's entire demeanor changed as he jabbed his finger at the girl, a scowl on his lips, "Stay out of my head."

Enola didn't react as his thoughts continued to enter her mind due to his weakened mindset. Riven's thoughts were mostly self-deprecating, so it wasn't a shock to the young fairy that he was taking it out on her.

At the same time, Enola hated herself for hew detached from people's thoughts Dowling was making her. It felt like every thought could be connected with some psychoanalyses that dehumanized the person. It was scary.

"Mind fairies," Riven spat as he walked past Sam, who was casually strolling over to the mind fairy, "Walking red flags. Good luck with that one, mate."

Sam stood with a perplexed expression, as he shrugged at Riven with his hands in his pockets. The earth fairy wasn't affected by the specialist's comments as they just rolled off of him. There was little that Enola could do that would change the way he felt about her.

Enola grinned, running up to Sam, before pressing a kiss on his lips. Her hands going up to cup his face as he held her in his arms. The kiss was short but sweet as they pulled away with smiles on their faces.

"Should I be worried," Sam joked, looking back to Riven, who was still mumbling to himself.

Enola laughed as she shook her head, "Riven is just pissed because Beatrix isn't who he thought she'd be. It has been messing him up in training."

"He was always an arsehole," Sam shrugged, as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling the girl closer, "I doubt Beatrix had that much influence on that."

"Yeah," Enola nodded her head as they began walking away from the training camp, "How's training?"

"Dull," Sam sighed, as he looked over to his dad, who was whispering something to Dowling, "Seems like all I am doing is running in and out of places."

"I think everyone feels that way," Enola sighed as her eyes glowed pink once again, numerous thoughts going through her head, "Not that it makes it any less annoying."

"What about you," Sam asked.

"Sitting on the sidelines," Enola sarcastically said, "Watching as people fight and kick ass while I tell Dowling what class they worried about flunking?"

"Well," Sam smirked, "Now I am jealous."

"You should be," Enola laughed, as they walked into her suite, "One guy recited an entire monologue from Hamlet to me."

"Shakespeare," Sam asked in fake incredulousness, "How sophisticated. I want him on my battalion," his expression was completely serious, causing Enola to laugh.

"But seriously," Sam looked to Enola, "how do you really feel?"

"Powerless," Enola frowned as a small laugh fell out of her lips, "Like I am just a deadweight pretending to be helpful."

They both sat on Stella's bed, with Sam holding Enola in his arms as they both leaned back on the few pillows that the princess had left on her old bed. Both genuinely enjoying each other's presence.

"What're you talking about," Sam shook his head, "Mind fairies are one of the most powerful fairies in the world."

"Bullshit," Enola laughed at the cheesy line that every mind fairy is told to make them feel better, "We are powerless when things go wrong."

Sam laughed in disbelief, bringing his hands up to her face, "Enola your powers are beyond most fairies, I mean if you worked on strengthening-"

"No you don't get it, Sam," Enola's voice began to rise as all the stuff that had been bothering her lately seemed to come up at once, "Your power is quiet and peaceful, mine dislike a jumble of noises and pictures in my head that make no sense. Like the roll of a die, it can go from good to bad in a split second. And by the time I can do something about it...I'm too late," she scoffed, raising her hand in the air in exasperation.

"Okay, this is about way more than training," Sam said, moving so he could look at the fairy in his arms better, as a look of concern spread across his face.

Enola's mind went back to how helpless Beatrix was when they chained her up. It reminded her of her mom. Neither she nor Musa really spoke about what went wrong that night, but it still affected both girls. It wasn't something that could be forgotten easily.

"I mean," Enola began, trying to find the nerve to tell Sam what happened before shaking her head, "Just family stuff. Happened a while ago, and it's just coming back up."

Sam seemed to move a bit, as Enola knew he would try to get her to open up about it more. Moving so that she was straddling his waist, she smiled, "Not a big deal, but I am just a little frustrated."

Enola smirked, leaning down to whisper in Sam's ear, "I suggest you take advantage," she purred, lightly rocking her hips against his causing him to tighten his grip on her waist as a small groan slipped out of his lips.

"Fair enough," Sam smiled up as Enola began to press light kisses along his neck and chin, "Fair enough, be frustrated."

Enola grinned as she moved away to take off her shirt before moving back to kiss Sam once again. She grinned as she readily allowed Sam access into her mouth, loving the drunk feeling his kisses provided.

Moving her hair over her shoulder, Enola continued to kiss Sam as his hands moved up to her locks, lightly pulling at the scrunchies that were holding it into two ponytails. Her hair curtained over both of them, shielding their faces as they continued.

Sam's hands moved over to her bra, "Can I," he asked, careful to watch her reaction as Enola nodded her head. He smiled as he was about to remove it when a sudden crash stopped both teens from going any further as Sam jumped up. Enola smiled as she watched his eyes dart over to where she assumed Stella was awkwardly standing.

"Don't judge me for my completely legitimate," Sam began, taking a deep gulp, "And masculine fear of ghosts."

"I wouldn't say masculine," Enola joked, rushing to put on a shirt, knowing the princess was in the room and watching them. She did not want to be nude in front of Stella.

"They are objectively creepy," Sam defended, causing her to giggle as she pressed a small peck on his lips. Moving off of his lap, Enola crossed her feet as she let Sam move to sit on the side of the bed beside her.

"Moment's passed?" Sam winced as he looked over to the girl, Enola desperately wanted to say no and pull him back down on the bed to make out, but she knew there was no way Stella would leave the room and wouldn't feel comfortable even if she did.

"Yeah," Enola frowned, moving her hands up to his hair before moving to stand up, "I better meet the girls anyways."

"I'll see you later," Sam nodded his head before getting up and walking out of the room. Enola smiled as she watched him go, careful to wait for Sam to shut the door before looking over at Stella, as her eyes glimmered pink.

"Wanna come out now?"

There was a slight glimmer that shook through the whole room before Stella appeared in front of Enola, her face nervous as she carefully moved away from the window so she wouldn't be seen by anyone outside.

"Wanna talk about it," Enola asked, patting the spot next to her on the bed. Based on Stella's thoughts alone, there was a lot that she had missed since the last time they saw the princess.

"Should I began with my mom is a bitch," Stella asked, with a small laugh as she sat beside Enola, hugging one of the pillows, "She is a lot..."

"I can only imagine," Enola muttered, her mind going back to when they were in the assembly. The Queen's thoughts were nothing like what she was depicted as. She was cruel, selfish, and egotistic to the point of psychopathy. Stella must have been miserable growing up with her.

"Everything was fine until then," Stella frowned, looking down at the pillow in her arms, which was a bit dirty from one of Terra's plants, "I ran away a couple of days ago. The entire realm's troops are looking for me...not that she would let anyone know."

"And she wouldn't look for you here," Enola scoffed, finding it hard to believe that her own mother wouldn't think to look in the one place her daughter has lived for the past two years. Queen Luna was a lot worse than Enola thought.

"She would never admit that she lost control of something," Stella scoffed, her face growing hard, "Project strength and power. That is all she cares about."

Enola nodded her head as she watched Stella's expression fall, "And I am an extension of that strength," she continued before looking to Enola helplessly, "My magic has to be powerful at any cost. that is what she taught me."

Stella dropped the pillow to the floor as she moved to stand up, looking over to Dowling's office.

"My mum tutored me growing up. When positive emotions didn't work, then she went to the negative."

Enola had never seen Stella so emotional before. She was always so closed off or mean. The mind fairy couldn't believe that she never dug deep enough to see that it wasn't truly her. That her mother was making her the way, she was.

"My magic is erratic because of her," Stella choked out as she tried to Enola, "Ricki was my best friend. I didn't mean to hurt her-I just lost control...It was better for my mum...if people thought I did it on purpose. Because at least if I am a raging bitch or a monster, then I am not weak."

"That is messed up," Enola breathed out as she looked at Stella as she tried to keep herself together.

"You're telling me," she scoffed, wiping the tears off her face, "Then the second I got home, it just started again. So, here I am until I figure out what to do next," Stella looked up at Enola, no signs of her crying a second ago, "Just please don't' tell people I am here."

"You don't have to hide," Enola softly said as she looked around at all the flowers in the room that Terra had placed to fill the empty space, "The girls in the suite will be okay with you here."

"Are you kidding," Stella laughed as she shook her head, "Do you know how judgemental they are?"

Enola laughed at the irony of her statement. Stella may have been the most judgemental person in the suite up until now. The mind fairy didn't doubt for a second that they would help her if she trusted them.

"You know," Enola smiled as she reached over to grab a succulent from the bedside table before handing it over to Stella, "Sometimes people can shock you when you truly open up to them."
