"Do you think he's here yet?" Tara questioned as she stood next to one of her best friends, Riven. The two friends had arrived to Alfea together and were stood on the grass looking for the blonde male who took part in confusing relationships.
Riven nodded at the girl and gestured over to where the third party of their trio was standing talking to a red head, "He's creeping in on that girl." Tara laughed softly and smacked his arm that was wrapped around her shoulders.
"Do you think we should save him? I can practically smell the awkward," Tara sniffed falsely and pinched her nose as if it smelt making Riven chuckle lightly. They both watched as the third musketeer and the red head laughed and smiled at each other, "I doubt Stella will enjoy that particular image."
Stella could barely stand the relationship between Tara and Sky even though she knew it was completely platonic. Both Tara's parents were specialists who were great friends with Andreas, Sky's father, and even though none of the parents survived the first war it was only natural that Tara and Sky grew up together.
Riven unwrapped his arm from around her shoulder and approached the two leaving the girl to huff and pick up her bag and follow after him. He was never very patient.
"Quit perving on the first years." Riven spoke as he reached the blonde and red head.
Tara arrived just a second and smiled politely to the girl who looked lost and confused but nonetheless returned the brunettes smile, "And by that he means hi, thanks for not coming to look for your best friends." She snipped slightly making Riven smirk at her but she gave him a dirty look for not waiting for her, she could be very petty.
Sky turned to them and smiled tightly, "Tara, Riv, just give me one second. Yeah?"
Tara raised a brow as she saw the first year all ready leaving and Riven seemed to have the same thoughts, "Why? You gonna chase her?"
"Nope." Sky turned and frowned slightly as he saw her walking away but didn't let the frown stay on his mouth as his male best friend tackled him into hug.
"How are you, man?" Riven engulfed the taller boy in a hug and they laughed slightly. Once Riven let go Tara shoved her stuff into his arms causing him to stumble back as she wrapped her arms around the blonde, a lot gentler than Riven had.
Sky and Tara swayed back and forth slightly as Riven grumbled about holding Tara's stuff. She released him from her hold and ruffled his perfect hair, Sky smiled pushing her hands away. Riven passed Tara her backpack and wrapped his arms around his best mates shoulders. Tara on the right and Sky on the left.
Sky adjusted his backpack as Riven gripped him, "I'm good, slightly confused about Stella ghosting me the whole summer."
"Mate that's perfect," Riven spoke leaning into Sky as if he was sharing a secret but his voice was still loud enough for Tara to hear, "as soon as you're not confused by the female mind, you're completely fucked." Sky grinned as Tara pushed herself away from Riven and flipped her hair slightly. "'Course I didn't mean you, Tar." Riven smiled sarcastically at the female specialist who raised a middle finger.
"Of course you didn't, 'cause you're just so thoughtful." Tara spoke in a monotone voice which made Sky laugh at his friends. Tara and Riven seemed to tease each other a lot more than Tara and Sky or Riven and Sky.
The group of friends continued to chat as they moved into building. They stood in the specialists hall looking over the new first years, judging slightly.
"Not many girls this year." Tara noticed, of course every year there were significantly less female specialists since most don't go into training but Tara always hoped for more strong women.
Riven groaned, "Oh god Tara, don't start this woman shit again!" Sky grinned slightly as his friends continued to bicker. Tara would constantly gloat every time she beat them in fights and would go on to say she represents all women knocking men on their arse's.
Tara snickered slightly and was about to retort but her eyes caught a black haired specialist who was very attractive. He was about 5'11 and Tara herself was quite a tall girl as she stood at 5'8 so there wasn't much of a height difference, "Who's he?" Both Sky and Riven turned their heads and looked at the dark haired specialist just as Tara continued, "He's gorgeous." And it was true, the body of that man was built like a god.
"I think he's a transfer," Sky nodded as if pleased with his answer. Tara grinned at that.
"So I'll see you boys later?" Tara quizzed as she pushed her hair behind her.
Riven frowned at his friends sudden eagerness to depart, "Why where are you going?"
The girl with gorgeous curly locks nodded to the boy who was standing alone, "Just to introduce myself," she leaned her head in-between the boys, "Sky spoke to the ginger first year but my sights are set on that one." Tara blew in Sky's ear slightly and he pushed her away whilst she giggled.
"Shut up, Tar." Tara blew a kiss mockingly at them and winked as she turned around towards the boy. The two watched as she walked up to the guy and the black haired boy smiled at her. Riven rolled his eyes as he noticed Tara put on her flirty smile. It wasn't her usual smile because that had dimples (not that Riven noticed these things) but it was more mischievous.
Sky rolled his eyes as he saw Riven glaring heatedly at the pair. The three amigos had this rule which meant no relationships, it was really only created when Riven came into Sky and Tara's life. It was so nothing could come in-between the three mates, not even romantic feelings. But Sky wondered how the two hadn't noticed yet, they undoubtedly had feelings for each other but were too stubborn to notice it.
The type of feelings Sky wasn't sure but they either wanted to kill each other or got extremely protective of one another.
Riven scoffed and walked away once he saw the two get closer and Sky just grinned to himself.

"Why is your room bigger than mine?" Riven frowned as he sat on Tara's bed, hugging the teddy bear she had had since she was young. Tara glared at him and took the small bear from his arms, placing it on her desk.
Tara shrugged as she moved a box, "'Cause I'm better than you." Tara took out her signature bow and hung it on the door so it was out the way, placing her quiver next to it. She struggled to move her bedside table and turned to Riven, "You could help you know."
Riven smirked at her, "I thought you were better than me?" Tara grumbled to herself and started pushing the piece of furniture. After watching her struggle slightly Riven sighed to himself and got off of the bed, he walked over to the girl and placed his hands on her shoulders causing her to tense. The seventeen year old gently pulled the girl away and picked up the furniture with a grunt putting it in a better position. tara thanked him and moved to her wardrobe, "How come you don't have a roommate?"
"I refused to dorm with the first years." Tara shrugged whilst Riven laughed slightly before lying back down on the bed. Tara could be very stubborn, and (as bad as it sounds) headmaster Silva had gotten used to just going along with the temperamental teenage girl. She was one of the best in the training program along with Sky and Riven, plus Silva was practically her dad having raised her alongside Sky.
"Of course you did." Riven muttered looking at the pictures on the walls of the three of them.
Tara raised a brow, "What was that?"
"Nothing, Darling," Riven did an over exaggerated smile causing Tara to try and hide hers, "just wondering what underwear you have on."
Tara smacked him in the face with a pillow just as he reached up and wrapped his arms around her making her fall next to him on the bed. She giggled as they cuddled, him putting his face in her long brown hair, it always smelt like green apples.
The two had a lot of cuddles. They never really set any boundaries when it came to hugging so often they cuddled with each other, they didn't feel as alone after.
"I feel like this year is gonna be hectic." Tara whispered slightly as her earthy brown eyes looked up in Riven's icy blue.
Riven tightened his hold on her at her confession, "We'll be fine like always. Remember never gonna leave each other, right?"
They had promised each other that when they met, to always be by each others side even in the worst.
"Right." Tara nodded in agreement and the two best friends just laid there.
It was the calm before the storm and all they wanted to do was revel in it.
