Edmon, along with other guards, have surrounded the figure. The figure takes down the hood that shield their identity from the ones that are inside the throne room, except now all can see the one that stands there with guards all around them. It is a man who does not appear frightened in the slightest by the weapons pointed at his body which could do lethal damage. He smirks as his eyes meet Aithne's blue eyes and for a moment both of them simply stare at each other, studying one another from afar.
Then she walks down the aisle of the throne room and towards the man. "Stay back, Princess" Edmon says to her, but she does not listen to him for she is far too focused on the man that is familiar to her, yet she cannot figure out from where. "Release him" Her soft command is heard, shocking not only her friend and guard but also everyone else inside the room itself. "Princess Aithne, this man is a danger to you, stay back" Edmon tries once more, and once again she does not listen to him as she takes a step closer to the strange new man.
She notices how he is unarmed. "Why should my coronation not continue?" She asks him as she stares at this man, trying to figure him out, and yet she cannot. He smirks at her and takes a step towards her. The guards as well as Edmon push their weapons towards him, even lightly touch him. To give this man a warning. "These people in here are not within this castle to watch you get crowned, but rather to watch you die" He speaks to her, and his words are only meant for her.
The people inside the throne room gasp as the shock runs through them. That makes the man only smirk wider as this wickedness grows within his eyes as he stares at her. "How dare you come within my castle uninvited and claim such ridiculous actuation?!" She asks him, the anger rising within her own body. Her focus is only on that man, she does not take notice to how Edmon's anger grows and is prepared to eliminate this threat, no matter the cost of it. The man only chuckles at her words. "I have come bearing the truth, if you cannot handle it, then it is you that loses your life. Not I" He says.
As if he is nothing but amused by her anger and this situation. "Guards, escort this man to the dungeon!" She orders them. Princess Aithne, however, looks over the crowed of people that look at her. She eyes them carefully, trying to find the truth in the words that this man had spoken. And as he is being dragged out, and her eyes look over the crowd, she does see something that maybe was hidden away from her before. She walks back where she had stood before and then faces the people.
When she looks over the crowd, his words echo inside her head, and she cannot continue this if his words do indeed turn out to be the truth. Not will she trust him nor his words, but he has dug into her and this doubt begins to form within her mind. She looks over the people and in that moment she has decided what she has to do. "It has been decided that this coronation will not continue today, however, it will take part on another day" She tells them, and watches as the disappointment comes across the crowd.
Taking a deep breath, Princess Aithne walks back where she had gone before, and she goes out of the throne room. She stands there once the doors have been closed and looks at Edmon when he arrives. He, along with other guards, bow down before her and then stand up straight. "He is locked in the dungeon, Your Highness, please allow us to take you to your chambers" He says to her. The blue-eyed girl shakes her head. "No. I wish for you to escort me to the prisoner. He and I need to have a little chat" She orders him.
Despite being her friend and the one that she is closest to, he has no business in ordering her, and sometimes there is a fine line between his role as her guard and as her friend. He looks at her with shock, but then bows his head down. "As you wish" He says, and then they take her towards the dungeons. It is not as cruel of a place as most would believe, for the dungeons are not dirty old cells that have been rotting for years, but rather the cells are well-guarded rooms that none can get out of.
There are beds that the prisoners can sleep in soundly, and there are books for them to read. The dungeon is however locked, and they are locked behind pure metal that is strong enough for no one to be able to escape. Some even enjoy themselves down there and find that they are comfortable. With the guards, Princess Aithne walks the hallways until they have reached the dungeons, which is truly just an underground network of caves which they have turned into comfortable rooms with metal doors and locks that keeps them locked inside.
"Open the doors" Edmon orders the guards, and they do what he asks and open the doors to the cell where they have put the man that showed up at her coronation. The man sits on the bed and looks at her as she enters. "Twice in the same hour, I must be growing famous around here" He speaks with amusement, but she does not laugh nor does she even smile at him. The doors to the cell close when it is simply Princess Aithne, Edmon and this unknown man in there. "Tell me why you believe they were there to watch my death" She orders him.
The man only chuckles as he leans back on the bed which he sits on, making himself more comfortable on there, even amused by the situation. Edmon stands between the two of them and makes certain that the girl does not get harmed by this strange man. "I could get used to this place. There are even clean beds here, beats the hard cold ground I had to sleep on before" He says to her, not bothering to even obey the command that he was given by the Princess.
"Answer the question, prisoner, or we will use force. None of it will be pretty" Edmon speaks to him harshly as he glares daggers at this man that only chuckles. "I had thought you would at least remember me, it is after all not that long since the three of us met" The man says to her, completely ignoring how the guard beside her tried to get him to answer, and even threatened him. Aithne lets out a sigh as she crosses her arms over her chest. "You shall answer my question, or I shall let my guard on you" She speaks to the man.
When he stands up, Edmon takes his sword and points it at him. Prepared to strike should he show any signs of dangers to the girl. "I could answer it, however, it is much more enjoyable watching the two of you struggle with confusion. I came here to warn you that they wished you dead, I have done my part. Now there is nothing that keeps me here. I do apologize, but I will have to leave now" He tells her. Then he backs into the wall and smirks at her. "Do not worry, we will meet again" He says to her and then walks into the shadow where he disappears right before their very eyes.
Her blue eyes widen with shock when she sees it happen. She turns towards her guard. "Sound the alarm. We must find him at once!" She orders. He is quick to open the doors for the two of them and call forth others guards. Not before long, the warning bells are ringing, and the guards are trying to find the man that disappeared. "Come, we must get you to safety. We do not know how much of a threat he is" Edmon tells her.
The girl however does not hear him, for all that she can do is stare at the spot in the shadows where the man had disappeared right before her very own eyes, and that not only shocks her to the core but also brings forth something that she has within her. Things such as this is what Aithne is used to, yet not from others. Those that possess the abilities such as this are those that rule, and she is the only one that she knows does possess such abilities, until now that is when this man showed up.
Slowly she walks into the cell once more and towards the shadow where he had disappeared. When she stands in front of it, she does expect to see something. A sign that will let her know what had just happened. And yet there is nothing. Not even a scratch on the wall to show what had happened, but even the stone wall is just as it always has been. "Princess, we really need to go. It is not safe in here. Whoever he, he could come back. We must get you to safety" Edmon speaks to her.
Trying his best to act as her guard and not be her friend at the moment, for he needs to be her guard before he can be her friend. That line which he walks on grows even thinner when she might be in danger, for his whole body is rigid. She turns to look at him and nods. "All right" She speaks. Then the two of them walk out of the cell once more and into the hallways. "How did he disappear?" She asks Edmon as it's only the two of them that walk the hallways towards her bed chambers.
He shrugs. "I do not know. We must hope he does not show his face here again. If he does, he will perhaps not be able to survive" Edmon answers her. She gives him a sorrowful look. "He came here with a warning, why do you think that is?" She then asks him. They enter her chambers, and he closes her door and locks it. He is prepared to end anyone that dares tries to attack or harm her in any shape or form. "That is what we were trying to figure out. Until then, we must keep you safe" He tells her.
She sits down. Her eyes look at the book. Something compels her to open the door. And even when she knows that this book is nothing but lies, she does find humor in reading it. Though, Aithne does not read the book, simply goes through every single page. As if she is looking for something. Only, she has no clue what she should be looking at. The girl has gone through this book before, and she does know that this book is not anything special, and yet she still chooses to go through it even now.
That is, until she opens on one page that does make her eyes widen for the second time this day and this hour. "Come look at this" Aithne says to Edmon without looking at him. She turns to him, and he walks over to her to look at the book. He does not gasp, but he does look shocked when he sees what she wished to show him in the book and on that page that is there. For right there on that page is a drawing of someone that they know, or rather they have just met only some minutes ago. On that page is a drawing of the man that disappears into the shadow.
