ζ'' (Thirty-Six)
"He made it!" Aeolus yells.
I slam into the finish line and slam into the ground. Ow. Maybe that was too quick. That really strained by my once injured leg. I don't think she managed to get all the evil out. I stand up and brush myself off. I wipe my hand on my scarf, so it doesn't look suspicious. I look at my father. Soon, you will get what's coming to you. I pull out my staff.
"Hermes!" Athena walks forward.
"Yeah?" I pant.
"Are you... okay?" Athena asks.
"How many times are you going to ask me that?" I pant.
"As long as it takes to get a real answer out of you." Athena says.
Why is she always so persistent? She's the Goddess of Wisdom and War, not the Goddess of constantly bothering your little brother. I bite my lip. Should I tell her all the heckle? I grip the sack. What is she suspects me? I stole something. Something no one should ever steal.
Play it cool dear nephew.
"I'm fine." I say.
"Your stopping in the mid-race says otherwise." She says.
I shoot over to her. I circle her as a fly.
"Eh, that makes it fair. You can't beat me otherwise." I say.
I feel a hand grab my scarf.
"Yeah? Just you wait. I'm going to pulverize you in our battle." Ares growls.
"I knew it." I sigh.
