We were meeting up with them in the Garden Springs of Eminon. A pop-pop party place. It was a mash of pools and vineyards. Kind of seems the perfect place actually. I haven't been in a while. I remember when it first opened and oh boy, I didn't even know how flexible girls could be. I'm surprised they got in, it's expensive, but then again, they probably swindled to get in. Whatever the reason Doesn't matter to me. I look around. 

"You uh, have a good time with Gilmore?" Vax asks me.

"Don't dwell on it. I'd take you up over Gilmore any day." I say.

"Well, that's very considerate." Vax says.

"Hey! Over here boys!" Vex yells from a pool.

I turn. Wow. I almost forgot they were there. Most were in the pool or drinking. Of course, most of them were acting like children in the pool. Honestly, they look almost normal. I pull my coat off. I drop it on a hanger. I pull myself in. I feel the warmness, but it's just warmness it's nothing special.

"Did you get the map love?" Vex asks.

I turn to Vax. He holds it up. I lean myself back in the pool.

"Yes! I knew you could do it!" Pike punches me. 

"Cheers for the new member of Vox Machina!" Scanlan yells.

"Cheers!" Pike and Grog yell.

I hear a cannon fire. I look up and I see confetti flying down. I turn and see Percy holding up the confetti cannon. Then I see Percy getting wacked on the head from the manager. Hah. I roll my eyes. Oh brother... please don't make this seem like its anything but business. Vax smiles at me. I stand up.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let's make one thing clear, I'm only doing this so that you can kill me and end this fucking curse. I'm not interested on joining any... band of peers." I say.

"Aw come on! You'd be so good!" Pike yells.

"We could really use your help." Keyleth swims up.

"No, you don't." I pull myself down into the waters.
