"So, what can I do for you my handsome couple?" Gilmore asks.

"We're not a couple." I say.

Vax blushes.

"Listen Gilmore, I- we need your help to find the Dagger of Valynon." I say.

"My, my, I have not heard those words in a long time." Gilmore says.

He looks up at me as he sits down on his desk.

"Oh, you think it'll be the end to your little curse?" Gilmore says.

"Partly." I shrug.

"Well, I'll be happy to help." Gilmore holds out a map.

I look down at it.

"Most of these lands have been forgotten." I move my hand over it.

Wastelands, bone yards, even an ice sea as cold as the moon. but nothing much interests me anymore. I have been everywhere in the world. I know these lands and they're gruesome. I was lucky with my curse, the others that I have seen bled out in these lands, not so much. 

"And a perfect place to hide one of the most powerful weapons." Gilmore says.

"No... it won't be here; I've searched here before. Actually, I've tried to kill myself here." I say.

"My dear Blood Hunter, it's here, where I cannot say neither can you." Gilmore says.

My eyes narrow.

"We'll take it Gilmore. How much?" Vax asks.

"Oh just one hundred thousand gold pieces." Gilmore says.

I let out a breath. I move my hand up Gilmore's.

"Come on Gilmore, didn't you give me a coupon after our little night in Allithar?" I ask.

I hold up a piece of paper with a star on it.

"Oh yes, I remember well. I remember that night. It's in my mind like a leach." Gilmore says.

"Do you accept or not?" I cross my arms.

"Of course. Consider it a deal." He hands me the map.

"Gilmore, you never disappoint." Vax winks. 

"You owe me dinner by the way." He coos.

"I'll be sure to repay you." Vax turns.
