~Eighteen~
He was stirring. That was a good sign. I had worried he would die in his sleep. He's already been out for two days, which felt like a blink of an eye to me. I pull my coat off. He should really move more carefully. What I wouldn't give to be on the verge of death at last. A wistful dream. I move my hand over his face. He was... unique to say the least.
"Hello? Hello?" I ask.
"M... where am I?" He chokes out.
"Maybe open your eyes first." I say.
He jumps. He grabs a dagger and slams it into my shoulder. It didn't feel like anything. Honestly, his swing was soft as a pillow. Or maybe it's my stupid immortality talking. He looks up at me. I pat his head.
"There. There. You're alive and you're okay." I pat his head like he was a scared pet.
"Oh... fuck. Sorry." He winces.
"Immortal? Remember?" I poke his head.
He rips the dagger out. The wound heals instantly.
"You gave me a scare." I sit down on the bed.
"How... how long was I out?" He rubs his head.
"Two days." I say.
"Two days?!" He yelps.
I nod.
"Huh... thought it would be longer." He says.
I pull his arm up. I look at it.
"Healing well." I throw it back to him.
"Listen, I owe you a big debt of gratitude." He says.
"No shit." I say.
I look down. My eyes widen.
"Oh fuck." I pull the blanket out of him.
"What? What is it?" He asks.
"I forgot about the poison." I sigh.
"Poison?" He asks.
"Yes. Poison. I have to suck it out. You don't mind, do you?" I ask.
I pull apart his legs. His face turns a kind of cute red.
"Umm.... listen I-" He stutters.
"No time. Do you want me to suck the poison out or do you want to die a very painful death? Don't worry, this won't hurt." I put my mouth on his lower chest.
"Oh... oh!" He yelps.
