I have been a stranger for so long. I don't even recognize this place. I can't believe Fishlegs and Ruff are in love. Though... I did see the signs early on. Fishlegs' still has that sweet kind nature. I don't know if I have that anymore. I feel more like Astrid and my dad now.

"Hiccup? Are you still awake?" I hear.

"Yeah. Uh yeah." I call.

Astrid comes up the stairs. I stand up. Her eyes widen and her basket drops. I see the fish fall out and Toothless devours it. She stares at me. I realize I'm still shirtless. My scars were exposed.

"Hiccup, those scars, what happened to you?" She asks.

"Nothing. Nothing important." I lie.

"Nothing important." She grabs my chest.

"Hey... it's fine." I say.

"Fine? Hiccup-" She turns me around.

Scars don't hurt anymore. I mean they did, but in truth I'm grateful. I survived through pain and a witch servant. I survived through Hells killing, slaying, murdering. I look down. Does she not sense how much I've changed.

"I'm back, aren't I?" I ask. 

"Yes." She smiles.

I turn around. She grips my chest.

"You're back and you're safe." She kisses me.
