Chapter 12

The comfortlessness of the excitement and fear made your body tense and hunch. Having come from just a simple apple orchard to now getting to defeating the devil who placed this curse upon your body.

Holding out your bandaged bleeding arms watching as the blood moon kissed at your curses and wrapped wounds as you rose out of the hold.

Closing your eyes taking in the whispers of the shadows finding their words comforting even if you couldn't understand. Nothing was going to keep you from stopping. Nothing was going to keep you bound as a demon's snack forever.

Glaring up at the blood moon even as you jumped off Sypha's ice tackle. Not even the awkward acknowledgment of Sypha throwing the ice into the distance.

A sorrow of air escaped your lips as your blood magic formed a reaper, bringing the blade to tap at the stone floor of the entrance of the castle letting all inside hear you enter.

"I terrify them, Sypha disorients them, Y/N controls them, and Alucard goes over the top and we support him," Trevor says as the sound of clattering chains from his vampire hunter whip satisfied the growing excitement in you.

A heartbeat could be heard as you ran forwards using your blood circles to jump and slice at the first dark-cloaked vampire in your line of sight. The splashing of red only seemed like black spilled ink when on the floor as you conjured the vampire's blood into your hands.

Letting out a cry as you spun yourself into a ball creating a recoil effect, taking out three vampires at a time. Having to roll once landing on the ground before doing a backflip with only minor dizziness.

"A necromancer?!" A vampire shouted in disbelief matching with your shadows as they step forward.

"Pitiful creatures" You murmured, raising your hands and crossing your arms as your shadows took control of the three black-cloaked vampires bringing them towards you.

The heat of Sypha's flames was felt on your back as they made a circled firewall burning away your victims as you were enclosed from the enemies. Having to kneel as your shadows used the corners of the room to conceal and corral the remaining vampires just as Alucard had jumped through transforming into a white wolf.

"Omnes interficere" You commanded with markings flowing a fierce red.

Shadows grew teeth as Sypha opened the firewall for you and Trevor to pass through. Out of the corner of your burning eyes, hidden behind the pillar was a smaller vampire adult nonetheless.

Their eyes full of fear reminded you of when the apples bleed. How you wished to never have anything to remember of that night. Picking up the creature by the back of their tunic hearing as they plead to spare them mercy.

"Vampires are the reason I am going to hell" You snarled lifting your reaper watching as they flinched. "You will never harm any human again!" bringing your reaper down slicing them in half as their scream only lasted a second.

One of the shadows lifted itself so it could whisper in your ear. Their tellings to head for the stairs never struck your mind as you had thought to wait for everyone else.

The heartbeat could be heard more and more as you ran closer with each pace reaching Dracula.

"The necromancer has come have they?" Dracula spoke watching your heavy breathing of excitement and fear as your blood dripped down the reaper in your left hand from the pressure being gripped on.

"You cursed me to the devil! I am here to unbind that!" You shouted taking a defensive stance unaware of the hurried footsteps down the hall.

Dracula as stature as he seemed held a small smile as his eyes squinted at you "Child, the marking has bound you to the devil, I shall not lie." He said taking a cautious step towards you making you jump back in reflex. "You are a mistake. Have you not wondered why you were exiled in that orphanage or why your beloved family never came to see you?" He questioned causing your heartbeat to become louder.

"My family never existed, to begin with!" You yell swinging at the vampire only to miss as they stepped away.

"Your mother searched hard for you. Sadly she fell into her gift of the undead which then bore to you once she passed." Dracula said watching as you picked yourself up off the floor from missing.

"Y/N!" Alucard's voice echoed from the halls growing nearer.

"Are you saying that I am related to you?" You growled with glowing eyes from the flames of the fireplace beside you.

Dracula seemed bemused at your question "If we were then I would have taken you a long time ago. I should show you myself."

"Get away from her!" Alucard growled standing in the doorway with Sypha and Trevor standing at his side.

"I'm surprised you had shown her, Alucard" Dracula said with a tint of disappointment at his son's name.

"I said get away from her!" Alucard demanded pointing his broadsword at his father.

Looking between Alucard and Dracula you made it your chance seeing as Dracula has his attention on his son. Lifting your reaper with both hands slowly before taking a sturdy step forward.

An unseen blow to the torso had created several cracks of the ribs to be heard. Looking down at yourself seeing Dracula's hand speared into your body.

The gasps from Trevor and Sypha gave you the satisfaction that they were aware of what they are about to be up against.

"Now, shall I show you?" Dracula questioned as he lifted you by your hair making your reaper disappear and your shadows shy away in fright.

"This... is nothing..." You spat in the vampire's face trying to be brave only to have angered the immortal beast. "I.. refuse.." You coughed with shaking hands pulling you're bruised body up as blood could be felt dripping down your cheek.

There was much that was sparsely remembered but not felt. As much as your dizzy mind could compute right in the present is witnessing Alucard fighting with his father in what looked like the mechanism room for when the castle is moved.

"Leave him alone.." You whispered with a rasp watching as Dracula repeatedly hit Alucard's head into the ground. "Leave him alone! Leave him alone!" You yelled running at Dracula making the fools attempt at pulling at his cape to let Alucard go.

"Pesky necromancer!" Dracula growled backhanding you off him sending you down to the abyss below has it not been for your shadows to control your hands and cling to the only solid ground. A brief wave of anxiety washed over your body making your grip slightly weaken. "Alucard! You better do something!" You yelled struggling to keep even a single foot up.

The clashing of a wall collapsing created a grin upon your strained form even if you were to be facing your potential death below. Letting out a huff of air as your hands trembled slipping an inch each minute you held yourself.

"Y/N!" You heard Sypha called out making your eyes open that you hadn't even meant to close. Mostly because you didn't want to see your eventual fall to certain death.

"Their dead aren't they?" Trevor could be heard saying followed by a prominent smack.

The best you could do without shifting your weight was to raise a hand quickly to show you were indeed not dead.

'Could really use the assistance' You thought looking at your strained fingers seeing them turn red reminding you of when the children beat you for no gain. How ironic you would die this way isn't it?

"Bloody Hell!" Trevor sighed exhaustedly running a hand through his messy hair as he and Sypha tried to figure out a way to bring you up.

"Perhaps I should have been more open. Only then I wouldn't need to.. go back" A soft sigh escaped your lips as your hands could no longer hold on. Embarrassing the air that engulfed your body if not for a brief moment as you watched Trevor and Sypha watch with shocked faces.

'It was a great travel'

That was until your shadows started to creep and hoist you to your awaiting group. "Fuck, I wanted that to be my end," You said jokingly looking up at Sypha and Trevor noticing their smiling faces as they helped you up and shortly joined them was Alucard held a saddened but relieved face.

Looking down at your arms noticing that even though the bandages that had now turned to dirty rags were faded. You were free.
