"Hades, I don't mean to question you, but we are wondering through these woods for hours." Zeus starts.
"So, ask the question little brother." Hades says.
"You said you were leading us to the pillars." Poseidon says.
"And that I am." Hades says.
"And why do I feel like you're leading us astray?" Zeus asks.
"Wait, back up, back up- you guys are finally telling me that we are wondering through a blank forest, and no one knows where we're going?" I ask.
"Yes." Poseidon nods.
"Oh, quite fun." I say looking around.
These woods were dark and old. Oldest I've seen. Older than me. Maybe older than all three of us, even Hades. I feel there's a sickness in the woods. There's decay. There's a stench similar to that of the underworld. This is definitely where I imagined pillars would be. The trees were withering right in front of my eyes. There isn't much to look at. I can't believe we're looking in here for mythical pillars at the center of everything.
Yet... why do I feel unsettled? I am very unsettled, and I don't know why. The sickness around here was filling my nose. It was some ancient power that, truth be told, was dizzying me. I grip my head. Am I hallucinating or something? I feel like I'm going to throw up- which isn't very pleasant. I blink several times.
"Goodfellow, keep up." Poseidon tells me.
"Okay, okay. I'm coming." I say.
"Something is distracting you brother." Hades says.
"Hey, lay off of him for once." Poseidon snaps.
"You are always too soft on him." Hades says.
Poseidon whacks him with his own trident he had pulled out. I let out a small chuckle.
"Stop this madness, Hades." Poseidon spits in his face.
"Guys, stop." Zeus roars.
I hear the thunder crack. Wow... way to darken the mood. I bite my lip. There is something I have to do. I have to shake this biting feeling. I can't shake it. I can't shake the feeling that something is missing. It grips my mind. It's making me lose my mind. What am I doing here? Why does Nyx and Queen Meghan seem so familiar? What was ash trying to tell me.
"What is it Robin?" Poseidon asks.
"I uh... have to go. I forgot something." I say.
"Really? You have got to be ***ing me." Hades says.
"I'll be right back. I swear." I say.
"Hades, let him go." Poseidon grabs Hades' shoulder.
"Fine, but for your sake, I suggest you hurry the heck up Goodfellow." Hades says.
