The underworld smells like detergent

I slowly wake up. I'm lying in a pool of water. The walls were white all around me. It smells like someone went overboard with the detergent. This doesn't seem like the fiery pits of the underworld I always here about. Seriously, it seems way too white.

It smells like laundry here. This looks like some kind of train station. Is this the afterlife? Is this the Underworld? I did it didn't I? I died. Heh. I knew I wouldn't survive this fight. I let out a breath. Is Hermes going to come and pick me up? Drag me down to fiery pits of the underworld. Been there once, only a fragment to save my mother.

"Hello Perceus Jackson." A voice says behind me.

I turn. Asclepius stood before me with a white suit that smelled so much like detergent. Seriously, why does this place smell like laundry detergent? I mean, I'm not complaining. It's a nice sort of lemony and lavender smell. Not bad.

"What is this place?" I ask.

"A place where I'm offering you a choice before Hermes comes." He says.

"What choice is that?" I ask.

"You could stay and go the Elysian Fields, and finally rest." He says.

"Or..." I ask.

"You could reunite with Annabeth and Grover, live a normal life." He says.

"That choice seems a lot easier." I say.

But... I might still have cancer. I turn to the other side of the train station. I do need the rest.

"Wait... wouldn't Zeus be mad?" I ask.

"Hah. Don't worry, I straightened it out with him." He offers me his hand.

How can I possibly leave Annabeth and Grover? My friends? I take his hand. There was a blinding light.
