ALINA'S DOTHRAKI LIFE AS KHALEESI (QUEEN)
***
"You don't think I don't see you looking at Alina, don't think I don't know what you want."
"Does loyalty mean nothing to you?"
"It means everything to me."
"And yet here you stand." Viserys Targaryen exclaimed to Sir Jorah, as they both stood in an old tent. The Targaryen with an obnoxious attitude, obsession with the throne and silvery, white hair was made to leave earlier after he sold me to the Dothraki. The way we met was an entirely different tale, me and Mal ran into him as we were heading to the True Sea. But our ship was taken over and I ended up a slave.
As i patiently over heard the two talking, I stood behind a pillar though it was difficult to hear the first part of the conversation. "I'm sworn to protect you, to serve and yet here I stand." Sir Jorah repeated the last bit back to Viserys.
Not wanting to get caught I exited the camps and sat under the blazing sun, reading a good book. It was in Dothrakian and most of it was difficult to translate but I did enjoy the plot of the story.
"Khaleesi." A voice called out from behind me. I turned to see Sir Jorah approaching me. "How do you feel Khaleesi?"
I looked down my arms to see the faint scars from the blades, one even lined up down my chest and the scars on my face faded quickly. "I guess I'm fine." I replied, seeing Sir Jorah smile. "Did Viserys truly desire the Dothrakian armies to get his throne in Westeros?" I asked, recalling the nature of the slavery. "Yes, he intends to rule."
"I don't think Viserys will ever take back the seven kingdoms. He doesn't look like the type to lead an army even if my husband gave him one." Sir Jorah didn't reply, clearly stumped on what to say.
I changed the topic. "Sir Jorah, you know about the Dothraki and Westerosian ways correct?"
"Yes Khaleesi." He finally replied.
"How do I gain the trust of the Dothraki? Everybody hates me because I am Grisha and everybody mistrusts me because I'm Ravkan and Shu." I asked, the whole truth of my identity.
Sir Jorah kneeled down beside me, "The way to earn the trust of the Dothraki and rule as its rightful Queen, would be to own up to the title and play your part."
"You must be their strength."
I looked at him closely and smiled, "As you are mine."

We rode our horses out to a different section of the Dothrakian plane, Sir Jorah explained that's where my husband was meeting with some of the other horse lords. But as we rode, i noticed many of the servants or slaves that walked beside us and suddenly i remembered when i was the Darkling's slave. I saw black collars chained around their necks as some screamers whipped them when they didn't move as quick as they rode. Though they were all bare foot under the hot sun, how quickly could they possibly walk compared to the speed of a horse?
"Jorah!" I exclaimed, looking beside me to Sir Jorah riding along. I heard the crack of another whip as we were all forced to pull on our reigns. I saw the horse rider whip the servant, bleeding marks could be seen and i'm sure a bone to. "Jorah, make them stop!" I ordered. Jorah rode his horse, slightly towards them as he partially covered my sightline. I heard him say something in Dothrakian. The nomadic people turned their attention on me. The servant clasped his palms together as he fell to the hooves of my horse. He spoke something in Dothrakian. I looked back at the horse rider who was told off by Jorah, he must have resented it.
I gently shook my head at the collared slave near my horses hooves. "Sir Jorah, what is he trying to say?"
Jorah turned around, "He's saying thank you my Queen."
I shrugged my shoulder in flattery, "tell him to stand and give him a horse to ride, its difficult to travel barefoot." Sir Jorah spoke Dothrakian and soon rode beside me again as the servant mounted on a horse with another slave.
"You acted like a true Queen." Sir Jorah murmured. I turned my head to him, "Really?" He nodded, "You care about the people, the slaves. You showed mercy and acted like a Queen should."
"Not a Queen, A Khaleesi."

Once we reached the site, i entered the main tent Sir Jorah led me in. I realised that the horse lords were waiting for my presence alongside their whores, maids and slaves. "What is all this?" I asked. Miya translated something in Drogo's ear. She then came up to me, "A witch wants to test your Queenship and fertility."
"Fertility?" I asked, she nodded. Suddenly my heart started doing flips, i didn't want any children, not at such a young age and not one when i'm older. "The witch asks for you to stand on the pedestal and trial by the Khal's horse, once you feed on its heart, she'll test if your able to give a child or not and what the sex is."
"And what if i refuse?"
"She didn't say." Miya exclaimed as i saw the old hag next to one of the lords. Everyone awaited my answer, i hesitantly stepped on the pedestal. There was no chance in hell i was going to give a child and if Khal Drogo forced it on me i would use the cut on him. The witch was a scrawny, old woman. Dressed in rages with dull black hair. She wasn't Grisha but a witch from Westeros. Jorah told me they found her amongst one of the camping grounds three days ago.
The anticipation of slicing a horse and feeding on its heart was disgusting. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad? I knew that i wasn't supposed to use my powers and i didn't. Approaching the horse, i saw Khal Drogo near by leaning on his knee as he watched me closely. I gulped, nervously. Breathing, i stroked down the horse to its knees and slit its throat with a knife. Slowly, i tried calving out from the chest cavity and saw the heart. I almost threw up once i saw the dead heart, i grasped the heart and pulled it out. I stood up on the pedestal and saw everyone's eyes on me. I hesitantly, started to bite on the heart, blood covering my hands. Facing my husband i tried my best to eat the heart. Suddenly, the heart in my hands started to glow brightly and i saw the witch chant something loudly. Once the light dialled down, she reached a verdict.
"No child from thee, Infertile she is to see, will never bear an heir but will prove as the best Queen their, a woman to inspire others and prove better than all."
She said so i could understand, Miya translated the riddle to Drogo. Khal Drogo soon stood up and walked over to me, he over towered my by above two feet. He then rose his arm and shouted something in Dothraki that everyone cheered too. I looked to Miya as she pulled me down to stand beside her, "He's saying Long Live The Queen!"
I was puzzled, "I thought Khal was disappointed by my infertility and i didn't even want children."
"It was test Khaleesi, Khal has many other whores who may wish to give him a child even if you do not desire it." Miya said, her tone changed sourly towards the end. I then understood what she was trying to say. "It's because i'm half-bred is it not." Miya nodded sadly. "I don't mind. Whether it was for another Grisha or a man i loved, i do not want children and no one can tell me otherwise its strictly my choice."
Miya smiled, i think she liked my attitude and forward thinking, women could be happy without children, I've seen many like that when i was in the orphanage.
I then saw Viserys talk to Sir Jorah near the tent flaps, "They like her." Viserys said shockingly, i tended not to react on it as i eavesdropped on them. "The witch made sure she failed as she was already infertile and had no desire for a child."
"But the riddle also means that she would be the greatest Queen to live and that's what matters. I serve my Queen who truly is a Queen today." Jorah explained, i was sceptical to believe he was on my side or devoted to me. I couldn't make the mistake of making friends with anyone in new places, I did that already with Genya and the results were my powers exploited and the fold turned on Kribirsk.

Two weeks later, Viserys showed up before all of us with a sword in his hands. Drogo tried offering him seat, "That is no place for a King." Drogo didn't reply in Dothrakian as i had taught him Ravkan about a week ago. He picked it up rather quickly. "You are no King!" Viserys pointed his sword at Drogo. Jorah shouted from behind. "Don't!" Viserys turned back and had the blade at his throat. "Keep away from me!" Jorah swiftly minded the blade. I stood up trying to reason with him, "Viserys please!" I pleaded, not like he would listen to me.
He half turned to me, "There she is. The half bred, Grisha scum who has no business being a Queen but rather a horses slut." The words stung me as he observed my face. I have been called many insulting things since before i got here but this one hurt more. I saw Khal tighten his fist, rage building quickly.
Viserys started coming towards me, "Put the sword down, they'll kill us all!" Jorah exclaimed. Before me, his solemn duty was protecting Viserys. "They can't kill us, they would never shed blood in their sacred place."
Miya tried to step in front of me to protect me in case he tried to kill me, she gasped with horror. Quickly, pushing her back i used my body to block her instead. His words won't hurt me as my boldness stood visibly. Viserys laughed maniacally, "But i can." I slowly started to walk back as he approached me with his sword. I saw the Khal's keep a strong grip on their swords. Colliding back with a chair, i fell onto the stool. There was a moment of silence surrounding us as the flickering candles roared around the tent. "You know he never payed for you Alina. I want the crown he promised me. Tell him what was bargained for or i'm taking you back."
I glanced at Drogo nearby, Miya translated what Viserys said in Dothrakian for Khal. He then started to speak to me, i understood the bits of Dothrakian spoken to me. I looked up at Viserys, "Drogo says you will get a crown shinier than ever made before and men shall bow down before it as it sits on your head." I falsely translated. Truth was Drogo ordered his men to melt gold in the fire. I couldn't let Viserys know what Drogo intended to do. Viserys believed me as he scoffed with no doubt. Without warning, Drogo's men forcefully dragged Viserys back. "Hey, what are you doing? You can't do this i am a dragon. A dragon!" They broke his arms as he let out a scream. Drogo approached him as he grabbed the pan on near the fire. I vaguely saw melted gold in it. I knew what he was to do. I stepped forwards trying to get a closer view, Jorah grasped my arm, "Khaleesi look away."
"No i want to see." As i moved his arm back. "Alina!" Viserys begged. "Alina please!"
"A crown for King!" Suddenly a rush of gold liquid poured down over him as he died from solidified gold. I saw his body drop to the ground with a metal thump. My eyes glanced around then back at the dead body of Viserys, "He wasn't a dragon, fire cannot kill a dragon!"

My husband pulled me to him as he struggled to explain to me about his orders. "Exile, you from Dothraki as you are not Dothraki." He tried to explain. I felt sick as i started to panic, a nervous feeling wormed its way inside of me. "What do you mean? That i will no longer live here?"
"Yes Khaleesi." Miya stated beside my husband. "Khal is aware that you are Grisha and is okay with you too pursue other relationships. He's doing this for your protection as much as he's doing it for his people."
"Because of the attack a couple days ago?"
"Yes and some other Khal's that wish to see you dead or off the throne, Khal Drogo believes this is the best solution." Miya stated, making sense to my brain. Drogo came up to me and kissed me on the forehead, "I will miss you, Alina my sun and stars."
"I will my moon, perhaps i'll see you again one day."
I started bidding my goodbyes to the people i knew,
"I will miss you Sir Jorah!" I exclaimed as most of my belongings were being escorted out of the tents.
"As will I your grace, but you are always welcome and able to return here." Jorah exclaimed. "I know, but Khal decided to exile me, besides I would like to see my friends again in Ravka."
"You must also sustain your rule Khaleesi." Jorah said, his voice wavering. I picked up one of my bags and slung it over my shoulder. "I can't, at least not now. Also no one should know that Khal married a Grisha, especially the sun summoner. It would cause a whole dilemma."
"It was an honour to be by your side as I will continue to be if you should return." Jorah bowed to me.
"Maybe one day I will, till then keep an eye on Drogo and look out for any other unwanted presence, maybe even remind people who their Khaleesi is."
"I swear your grace, they will not forget, who you are."
"Farewell Khaleesi."
"Farewell."
I was soon escorted to a ship that stood beside the harbours near the Truth Sea. It was going to be a long ride back to Ravka and to Mal. But it had to be done, as many of the sailors were ready to way anchor, my heart jumped at the excitement to see Mal again.
