"Y/N-sama, are you sure? Your pride is like... super important to you..." F/N frowned as you dragged her over to the third-year classes. "I'm not saying you have a big ego but-"

"Just trust me on this." You spoke quietly, surprised that F/N even heard what you were saying.

"O-OKAY Y/N-SAMA! I TRUST YOU WITH MY LIFE!"

Her loud voice caught the attention of a passing teacher... who happened to catch her each time she was around here. "Again F/N?! Distract me one more time and you're getting your..." A sharp glare was now directed at her. "15th strike!"

"Soooorry!"

"Asahi-san! Wait!"

He turned back to you, seeing you run through the halls while dragging a smaller first-year girl kind of scared him. "Huh? L-L/N-san, good morning... uh... what's with the girl?"

"Good morning to you, too. She is my... ahem... sidekick." You deadpanned, F/N looking at you in shock at your words. "You know that I'm straightforward, huh? I'm not going to stall. I want you to come back to the volleyball club."

"Y-you too? When did you ever get involved... never mind." He let out a heavy sigh, hand scratching the back of his neck. "Uh- look, I'm so sorry to disappoint, but-"

"No, you don't understand. They need you. You say you do not wish to disappoint, but leaving them is doing worse than losing a game, or missing a hit, or whatever you do in volleyball."

"I'm just not interested in volleyball much anymore. It just... sort of scares me now. I don't want to let anybody down, so I'm not going to go."

"But doing that is letting everybody down. I don't know whether you are just too scared or genuinely do not like it anymore, but I know you care about the others, and if you really do value them as your friends, you will come back and face them." Your voice was sterner than he had ever heard, and you sounded more like an upset older sibling than anything else. "I really doubt that you are interested in Career counselling... I mean, who even does that..."

You stared him dead in the eye. The look you had kind of freaked him out. F/N was just hiding behind you, watching you speak to Asahi.

You stopped, hearing your heart pound in your ears. "At least think about it. Please." You looked at him for a little longer, then began to walk the other way. F/N stared up at the taller man, bowing.

"P-please consider it! T-thank you!" She rushed off to your side. "Y/N-sama, you didn't follow the script we practised, but it was such a good speech!"

"I don't care how good it was. As long as he comes back," You looked away, eyes clouded in thought. "But I hope I got the point across."

"Huh? Okay, I bet you next week's lunch he'll come back to volleyball!" F/N said loudly, pumping her fist into the air.

"Hmm, okay. That's a bet I'll take."

Long story actually, the team now has a new coach until the Nekoma game, and a few alumni are playing against the teens. It didn't seem too fair in your eyes, didn't they have more practice?

But then again, they were old and had back problems. Ugh, old people.

You weren't really paying attention as they started to warm up, drearily yawning and resting your cheek in your hand.

"Hey, there's Asahi!" Those words made you perk up, and look at Hinata, who was grabbing onto the bars protecting the window so he could jump up and see. You rushed to the door, looking right at the male.

"You actually came?" You asked in surprise, eyes wide as you looked at his now flustered self.

"I thought about what you said... and you're right. I should man up, and face them..." He broke your eye contact, eyes looking to the floor.

You felt your lips twitch, and they started to curl up. You walked next to him and awkwardly placed a hand on his shoulder. "I knew you would."

'No, I didn't. Now I owe F/N lunch.'

"A-ah, well..." His face grew pink.

"You gotta be kidding! Late on the coach's first day?! What position do you play?!" Ukai yelled out, glaring from the doorway. He's just cranky because he hasn't had a cigarette in twenty minutes, you think and roll your eyes.

"W-wing Spi-"

"Whatever, I don't care, We need more players, get your ass in there and warm up! And stop flirting with the freaking girl!"

You roll your eyes again.

"Chop-chop man-bun!"

You took a step away from him, tilting your head to the doorway, and for the first time he had ever seen... you had a small smile on your lips. "You should go."

"O-Oh...yeah. T.. thanks, L/N." He said quietly, walking up. He took one look back at you, waving silently to Hinata, who was talking to you. That...was the first time I've ever seen her smile like that. So... genuine.

He felt himself smile too.

The game went on for what seemed like forever, it only ending late at night. As much as you wanted to stay and watch, you left halfway through as you had gotten sleepy. F/N soon followed after. You both had lots of homework to do after all.

Plus, there was this cool new story you needed to document.

So, you went home, finished all your work, wrote until early morning, and then got a few hours of sleep.

Getting to school was extremely hard, especially since you stayed back so late at night. Apparently, they were staying over a sweet little cabin for a while, and you and F/N were invited to stay over in a spare room where the managers were supposed to sleep.

Practising was tiring for the boys, having to practice receiving, spikes, and much more to help them get better.

It seemed like the day flew by, and just before you knew it, you were at the cabin.

You looked around, then started to kneel and unpack some stuff slowly.

"It's smaller than I expected," you murmured. Your and F/N's room was pretty nice compared to the rest, with a few blankets laid around with some books and pens for your journaling. There was one desk and a closet. "My closet is bigger than this. But I can make do," you murmured under your breath.

M-Me and Y/N-sama...sharing an r-r-room!

F/N almost short-circuited when you asked if this was similar to a sleepover.

"M-ME TOO Y/N-SAMA! I'M SO EXCITED TO BE HERE! I'LL DO AS MUCH WRITING AS YOU WANT ME TO, OKAY?!"

I didn't even say anything like that.

"Oh my gosh, keep your dog under control," Tsukishima retorted as he walked by. F/N growled (yes, growled) at him and narrowed her eyes.

"Careful, or she'll bite you," you snap back, with a levelled tone which made him look back in shock at F/N, who was making a cutthroat motion.

You walked away, grabbing F/N's arm and leading her away, her cheeks going a bright red. Walking out of his room, Hinata looked around with an overjoyed smile and excited demeanour. Kageyama, hands in his pockets, retorted, "Is it really all that exciting?"

"Of course it is! I've never been to a training camp!"

"It's just a bunch of loud disgusting guys in your face all day every day. What's so fun about that?" Tsukishima said with an annoyed expression at the boys in front of him.

"You take that back right now!" Tanaka yelled out.

"Yeah, any place within a quarter-mile radius of our gorgeous goddesses Y/N and Kiyoko is automatically pure and beautiful!" Noya stuck his tongue out, fire somehow appearing behind him.

You went stone-faced again, now hiding behind Kageyama. "Please."

"Yep." He replied simply, also with a blank, stone-cold look.

"This air is as fresh as a morning in spring, and if your senses are so dull you can't smell it, I feel sorry for you!"

"Oh, Kiyoko lives right by here. She goes home whenever the days are over. Y/N and F/N sleep in a separate room all the time too."

Tanaka and Noya were now lying on the floor, drained of all and any life that they once previously had.

They remind me of zombies... except they don't eat brains. They do need one, though. F/N snickered at her thought and latched to your arm with a sly grin.

You walked away, to the kitchen's back entrance. There you saw Kiyoko helping cook and set up everything. "Kiyoko, would you like me and F/N to help you set up the table?"

"That would be helpful, thank you." She smiled slightly, bowing. You felt your stomach twist and you suddenly felt nervous.

"A-Ah? It's nothing, don't need to thank me." You closed your eyes and dusted imaginary dust off your clothes. You walked past her quickly, hiding your face, and tied an apron around your and F/N's waist.

You then put on some gloves, helping set up some food while Kiyoko kept cooking. It wouldn't be too long until it was all set up. There was a lot more food than you expected. It took a few minutes, but with F/N to help too, it was ready soon.

"Y/N-sama... Kiyoko-san... it looks so good..." F/N almost drooled, her clinging to your waist.

"Mhm. You're a great cook, Kiyoko." You smiled at the girl who averted her eyes, a small smile and blush appearing on her face.

"Thank you for the food."

You sat at a separate little table with F/N, who insisted she wanted to try and lose some weight and only had a few vegetables. You, however, were eating a regular portion for a girl of your age and weight with mostly rice and meat.

"F/N, you need to eat more. You'll get sick."

"No, I'm fine Y/N-sama!" She smiled, waving it off. Just as she was about to talk again, you shoved a piece of meat into her mouth, her chewing it almost dreamily.

"See?"

She only sulked, doing the walk of shame to pick up more food. You had finished eating rather quickly, and as you did, you picked up some dirty plates from your friends. Since they let you attend, it was the least you could do.

"Oh- thank you, L/N-san," Daichi said in surprise as you leaned over and picked up some dishes. You sent him a nod in response, walking past and picking up more dirty dishes.

You decided to have a quick shower, and F/N decided she would have one after you. You dried off your hair a little, but it was still ringing wet. You had to walk around with a towel around your shoulders. When you walked out of the bathroom, you saw Hinata as still as a statue as he stood at the end of the hall.

Tanaka walked up to him, asking if everything was okay and saying that the baths for the first years were open.

You peeked out from behind a corner, then walked up to the ginger who didn't react to your presence at all. He was standing by a vending machine. "Do you need money? Are you thirsty?"

"There's somebody here..." He mumbled out, just loud enough so you and Tanaka could hear it. "It's a stranger."

"W...whatever." The second year said, sweatdropping. "Don't be ridiculous, we're the only one's here."

"Yes. I doubt anybody else would want to sneak into this place," but the words left a bad taste in your mouth.

"It's... a child..." Hinata said, his eyes dull. Now you were sort of freaking out, but internally.

"Uh... No! You're seeing things!" Tanaka exclaimed. "I'm sure you just walked past a mirror...and saw your reflection!"

Hinata was silent for a second. "Yeah, that'd be right. That's silly. It's nothing." You nodded in response, turning around before looking back at the ginger.

"Uh-huh...you've gotta be...uh- just imagining things." Tanaka laughed nervously.

A cold breeze blew past you three. And then, a step echoed through the halls. Hinata and Tanaka yelled in fear while you just turned around, a little surprised, but it died down quickly.

Oh.

"What's with all the racket? Daichi's gonna get angry, you know."

"Oh, Nishinoya-san." You acknowledged.

"Woah, it is him... But he shrank!" Hinata pointed at the boy. "Maybe the ghosts made him shorter!"

"Haha! Is that why you have spiky hair?! So you look tall?!" Tanaka laughed, tears appearing at the corners of his eyes.

"Tanaka! Don't make fun of me, or I swear-" Noya yelled, but a hand was placed on his shoulder.

"Keep your voices down, or Daichi might hear you." Asahi, who had his hair let down said. The boys looked at him, all screaming in fear.

"Oh, how has your night been Asahi-san?" You walked a little closer to him. "Your hair looks very nice, what hair products do you use?"

He only stuttered, face slowly turning pink. The others looked at you in disbelief. "Hm? What?" You asked with a shrug.

You then looked at Noya. "You look so much shorter. I think you look like a cute elementary schooler."

"C-c-cute?!"
