"Goodfellow, mind telling us what you're doing?" Ash asks.
"What fun would it be to divulge all answers?" I chuckle.
"Puck..." Nyx gives me a slide eye.
"*Sigh* We need to work on your sense of humor Nyx." I stand up.
I pull the glamour forward. I move my hand down and up again. I stretch my fingers out.
"What I am doing is seeing, through the veil. One veil I cannot quite explain and why would I? It'd spoil the fun. Anyway, I think I can project a vivid image of our culprit." I say.
I see the glamour forming a shadow in the river's edge. My eyes narrow. I can feel the glamour turning cold. There is a bit of a downside to this spell. I feel everything the corpse has felt. I can see and feel it. I didn't mention it to them because I didn't think it's important and because I don't want to spoil any more fun. I grip my hands.
Okay... I feel myself walking on the river's edge. I see others. I see other soldiers of the Iron Kingdom. Where are we going? I see the shadow looming. I see the shadow enter the water and start growing. A sense of fear flows down my spine.
"Puck?" Ash asks.
"Shh. Shh. Don't ruin it. I almost have it." I walk to the river's edge.
"Almost has what?" Nyx asks.
"I've learned it's best not to ask." Ash tells her.
I look down at the water. Show yourself to old Goodfellow. Where are you hiding? What are you? I hear a scream, and I see the scream through the corpse's eyes. I turn. I see a wolf... or is that a serpent? Wait, it's both. I see it shooting forward and devouring. I hear the screams, and I see the bloodshed.
How big is this thing? I bite my lip as I see myself turn to face another wolf's head. Is this some sort of Hydra? I feel the jaws clamp down on me. Grabbing me. I feel a sudden phantom pain flash through my body. I wince. I feel trickles of blood seeping down my mouth. Okay, okay. It's still fine. It's still fine. I turn and see big yellow eyes. Then... I blink and it's gone.
