"Ow!" I yelp as I slam into the ground.
I wince as for a moment I thought I had a concussion. I was pretty sure I had a concussion. I sit up and scratch my head. I wince; there's blood. Not a big wound. It's fine. My chest on the other hand looked terrible. Good news is there's Mabe. She's one of the best healers I know. Now... I see her corpse. It was starting to fade. Become one with the universe. I sigh. I don't feel as sad as I thought. There's still guilt, but I'm able to breathe a sigh of relief.
You did it Puck, you did it.
"You may have stopped me, but the others are awake." She growls.
My eyes widen.
"And you won't be able to see their defeat." I scoff.
"Strong...words...son..." Her eyes close.
She called me son. I breathe out another sigh of relief. I run my fingers over my hair. The others huh? I didn't think they would care but they saw the storm. I look up at the sky. One already knows what I did. We'll worry about them later. I hope. My legs feel so weak. I breathe like I've been through a car wash. I'm definitely exhausted and drained, and... surprisingly hungry.
"Puck! Puck!" I jump.
I turn. Well... look who's better. Nyx, Ash and Meghan, even the cat got up from his cat nap.
"All is well Goodfellow." I hear.
I turn. Mabe was right next to me.
"I see you've won." Mabe smiles at me.
"And you doubted me?" I ask.
Mabe helps me up.
"Never doubt the great Robin Goodfellow." Mabe smiles.
"It's Puck Mabe." I say.
"So it is." Mabe says.
"Puck!" Nyx hugs me.
"Ow." I hiss.
"Oh, sorry. Oh... those are-" She starts.
"Yeah they're a little worse than I thought." I say.
"Don't worry Goodfellow, I'll fix you right up." Mabe smiles.
"I have no doubts." I say.
