"Come on, Poseidon." I say.
We were practically out of the castle. The dawn was coming quickly, which made me nervous. I had taken every precaution. I've put sleeping spells on the guards. I had caused a great mist, which is something I can do. I see the gate. Poseidon looks at me in skeptisim.
"What?" I glare at him.
"Why are we sneaking?" Poseidon asks.
I look down.
"This isn't their fight." I say.
"They're with you." Poseidon says.
"I know, but we caused this." I say.
"I can't disagree with you." Poseidon shrugs.
"Yeah, no way." I roll my eyes.
I see guards patrolling the gate. Only two of them, this should be easy. I don't have time to go another way. Besides, this castle was as thick as mud. This castle is a maze, and don't get me wrong, I love getting lost, but time was of the essence. I take out the sleeping dust.
"Let me." Poseidon says.
I nod. I don't have time to argue with him. He moves his hand. What was he doing? I hear the river moving. Water shoots out like daggers and destroys them, cuts them from limb to limb. I jump in surprise. They wall in silence and the ground hushes their noise.
"Poseidon!" I angrily whisper at him.
"What? They deserved it." Poseidon says.
"I wanted us to be subtle." I whisper angrily.
"And yet you are too soft, come on." Poseidon moves toward the gate.
"Let's just leave this place, please." I say.
"Alright, alright." Poseidon grabs the gate.
"Hurry, hurry." I whisper.
Poseidon opens it.
"Going somewhere?" A voice says.
I jump. Poseidon turns. Oh crap... I thought, he's good. I bite my lip.
"Great, the Forgotten King." Poseidon says.
"Uh... hi? Hi." I wave guiltily.
Poseidon grabs him with a tentacle.
"Whoa! Whoa! Poseidon!" I yell.
"Can't we kill him?" Poseidon asks.
"No! Are you high?! No!" I take out a dagger.
"Let me go... God of the Sea." Ash grimaces.
"That makes literally no impact mortal." Poseidon says.
"I'm going with you." Ash says.
"No! No, you're not." I say.
"Finally, we agree." Poseidon at lasts drops him.
I help him up. Ash grabs my shoulder. I wince. My head was starting to feel heavy, and I feel blood leaking from my mouth. This isn't good. Ash looks at me with concern and lifts my arm and wraps it around his shoulders.
"Yes, yes I am." Ash says.
"Do not slow us down." Poseidon coughs up blood.
"Yeah, you're one to talk." I say.
