"You've been up all night Goodfellow." Ash walks up to me.
"Geez, are you keeping tabs on me?" I ask.
"You're worrying me Puck. You're my brother." Ash says.
"Brother? I am not of this world." I wince as I stand up.
"You've seen death haven't you?" Ash asks.
I look at him in surprise. How did he know that?
"... yeah. That happened twice." I admit.
"Are you afraid?" Ash asks.
"Me? I...." I look down.
Puck just tell him the truth. I was afraid. I was terrified. I am worried that I'm going to die and doom the world. Am I just a troublemaker? Would I do everyone a favor if I-
Ash suddenly hugs me. I jump in even more surprise. However... I was really glad and relieved he did it.
"Puck calm down. You can't die. You're too stubborn for it." Ash says.
"I'm glad you know how stubborn I am." I say.
Yet you're still too stubborn to escape your golden bars. I bite my lip. Death still taunts me. It's creepily annoying. Why is Death so good at making your skin crawl?
"Listen Ash... I uh... shit. I don't know what's going to happen. The infection is in me and Poseidon. So-" I start.
"Puck, I'm going to stop you right there. We can do this. We've been in worse pickles." Ash says.
I cross my arms.
"Okay, you're right. This is one fucked up situation." Ash says.
"Yeah and I caused it." I say.
"Puck, I'm getting kind of fed up with you blaming your self. Listen, it was not your fault! You tried to save us all! You're a hero!" Ash yells at me.
"When do you use the word heroes?" I take a skeptical eyebrow.
"You are a hero Puck, you want to know why?" Ash asks.
"I'll probably regret it honestly." I sigh.
"You're not giving up. You're battling the impossible odds." Ash smiles.
Alright, I'll play along in this game ice boy.
