"I can walk myself you know." I say.
"I'm sure you can Puck." Nyx chuckles.
I let out a breath. Walking isn't heavy. M I feel fine. My head feels clearer thanks to Mabe's pills. I hear no voices. That girl has so many tricks up her sleeves more so than me. Mabe is my Mabe. She's aways prepared. Mabe is my first friend, and I've lived a long life.
"We must make haste." Mabe calls on the wagon.
I'm relieved it's not a spider's carriage. I hate those things. They're small, uncomfortable and smell terrible on the inside. Ash lays down a bed for me on the wagon. I'm not that badly hurt, but I had to admit the air and the sun beaming down on me was causing me to see a couple spots. Ash helps me onto the wagon.
"It's quite crowded." I say.
"We only packed the necessities." Ash says.
I wince as I sit down on the bed. Ash hands me my green jacket.
"Thanks." I fluff it like a pillow.
"This journey will be extremely dangerous Goodfellow." Mabe says.
"Perfect. That'll be fun." I lean back.
"Don't get cocky Goodfellow." Ash says.
Nyx sits next to me.
"I'll meet you guys there." Meghan smiles coming out.
"You don't have to do that." Ash says.
"I know, but I have to save my friends." Meghan smiles.
"I thought we were more than friends." Ash says.
Ash takes Meghan's hands. I turn my head.
"Lovebirds! We must make haste!" Mabe yells.
"This should be a long and dangerously road." Nyx says.
"It would be boring and so not us if that were the case." I point out.
I turn and see the drawbridge falling. I bite my lip. We're off. "There and back again, a hobbit's tale by Bilbo Baggins." I think, and yes, I know of Lord of the Rings. I helped make it.
