"I don't understand a word you said."
"Then why were you nodding?!"
Taehyung and Jimin had been studying for the past half an hour and the brunette was shamelessly checking the other out because he looked damn good in his hoodie and shorts.
"Hey, can't we take a break?" The brunette sighed, flopping on his back into the fluffy covers.
"Fine." Jimin sat criss crossed and stared down at the other who was lied down. "You have a mole on your nose."
"No shit, Sherlock."
"I'm just saying, I never noticed."
"Of course you don't."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" The kitten lashed his tail.
"You laugh a lot, and when you laugh you have an eye smile, it's cute." Thats gay.
"I- shut up!!!"
"So I see you have a new friend you haven't told me about?" The two boys looked up to see a tall woman with long, wavy hazelnut colored hair standing in the doorway.
"Mom, I told you to knock."
"Your door was wide open..." Jimin rolled his eyes at the male. "Dummy."
"Yeah, dummy. Anyways, I didn't know you hung out with people other than the boys- is that your favorite hoodie?"
"Mom!"
"Sorry! Jeez, have some respect for your old mama. I'm making dinner, maybe you can introduce me to your little friend." Ms. Kim then left the room, leaving the two to themselves.
"Your mom seems nice."
"She's the reincarnation of satan!"
"I heard that!!"
"No you didn't!" The male stood up and stretched. "Hey, you look good in that hoodie by the way, no homo"
"I'm glad that you like it on me, all the homo."
The other let out a breathy laugh. "You're so stupid, let's go help my mom cook. She's dying to talk to you too."
—
"What do you want to eat?"
"Phó" Taehyung washed his hands in the kitchen sink.
"Pork chops it is!"
Jimin let out a giggle at the two.
"Ms. Kim, I really like your kitchen. How do you keep it so clean!" The kitten marveled at the clean and organized kitchen. His was one big mess due to all the late night baking that he did often. He recently tried to perfect his cookies.
"I keep that heathen out of my kitchen." The woman gestured to her devil of a son who was lathering his hands in soapy bubbles.
"I am not a heathen. Don't listen to that witch. She'll force you to join the legion of the undead." Taehyung scrunched his nose as he dried his hands. He was grateful that he could have a chill relationship with his mom and could joke around with her a lot. Same with his dad.
"So tell me more about you, Taehyung doesn't know how to introduce his dear friends to his own mother. How rude." Ms. Kim sighed. She was honestly quite shocked that her son befriended a hybrid- not that she minded, though she knew Taehyung's opinion on hybrids.
"Oh- well I'm Park Jimin and I just transferred to this school about... two weeks ago?" Jimin twitched his kitten ear. "And I'm a hybrid which I hope isn't much of a problem to you." The shorter smiled softly as he sliced the pork.
"Oh, of course not, honey! You know, Tae used to be scared of hybrids, that's why he doesn't seem to like him but you seem to have opened him up." She cracked a smile.
"I was not scared of hybrids!!" Taehyung yelled from across the kitchen, waving around a knife to express himself.
"Yes you were, coward!"
—
After the three had finished cooking their meal, they all seated at the dining table, digging into
the tasty food. Jimin couldn't have had a better night- well that's not entirely true... needless to say, he had a great time talking with the Kim family- even if Mr. Kim wasn't present. He had learned that the man worked overseas and would visit them as often as possible.
"Thanks so much for the food!" The kitten smiled widely.
"Oh, don't worry about it, dear. Are you sleeping over? It's getting a bit late, I'll call your mom to let her know, mind giving me her number?"
After swapping his mom's number with Ms. Kim, he followed Taehyung upstairs to his room.
"You know, a day ago you hated my guts and now I'm sleeping at your house." The shorter sat on the floor, criss crossed while playing with Taehyung's dog, Yeontan. He was right, the brunette had warmed up to the hybrid fairly quickly and it made him uncomfortable, he shouldn't be so close with a hybrid... what would people at school think?? What would Jisoo think? Of course, the boys wouldn't mind, in fact, they'd be happy. He didn't have to worry about them. What if he just pretended that he didn't pay any attention to the cat?
"Taehyung!"
The boy jerked himself out of his own thoughts. "Uh sorry what were you saying?"
"Tannie pissed on your carpet."
"Dammit."
