Taehyung felt as if his heart was going to leap out of his chest. Only two more hours until school got out which meant only two more hours until Jungkook was picking him up which also meant that he was probably going to die but it's all cool. If he didn't get to Harvard then people wouldn't be super disappointed in him because he was dead— we're getting off track.

Anyways, the point is he was more than nervous to meet up with the other, he didn't know why. Well— maybe because he was like kinda super hot and he didn't want people knowing that Kim Taehyung was getting tutored by an average graded student. That would also let Hoseok know that he was slipping up and letting his guard down. The brunette jumped in surprise as he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't touch me, I'm poisonous!!"

"Woah, I was just going to ask if you could come over later." Jimin backed away from the other. "Yoongi asked if we could come to his performance or something. He got a small venue somewhere near the cafe Jin works at," The shorter raised an eyebrow at the taller male who looked on edge. "Are... you okay...?"

"Yeah! Yeah, just peachy umm I might not be able to hang later I have... to study for something."

"But we don't have any tests soon?"

"Um it's a violin thing, you know since I'm first chair violinist?" Taehyung rolled his eyes as if it was the most obvious thing ever.

"Oh- uh okay well if you want to come over and watch, it's at seven..." Jimin walked away, weirded out by his bestie acting all weird. Must be college stuff or maybe Hoseok's getting on his nerves, like always.

Taehyung took a deep breath. He just wanted to get through with the day already.

--

"Hop in, doll." Jungkook pulled up in his G-Wagon, of course he owns a G-Wagon. Taehyung opened the passenger seat door and stepped in, it smelled like new car and strawberry milk. "Seatbelt?"

"Yep." Taehyung smiled softly. "Thanks for picking me up and could you maybe not tell anyone about this?" The raven haired male furrowed his eyebrows. "Oh! It's not that I'm like embarrassed about hanging out with you or anything, it's just that people don't expect me to be failing my calc tests and stuff... you know? You can't really be a valedictorian if you're failing calc." The sunkissed male bit his lip while fiddling with his jacket zipper. It was so embarrassing to be failing calc and to be holding so much pressure and responsibility and-

"Hey, don't worry about it, you'll ace the next test, okay?" Jungkook held up his fist for a fistbump. "And who cares? People make mistakes and have their own struggles. You can't possibly know everything or else you'll be like super boring and I wouldn't even be giving you an awesome pep talk. Let's kill this test okay?"

"Okay..." Taehyung sheepishly smiled and gave him a well deserved fistbump.

"Now, I know that you're kinda like at a secret rivalry with Hoseok, but don't worry about what he's doing. Focus on yourself, don't stress out about pleasing people- unless that person is me." He mumbled the last part.

"What?"

"Oh, why don't you look at that, it's my house!" It wasn't a lie that Jungkook maybe had a not-so tiny crush on the brunette since like freshmen year but they weren't so close with each other but mayyyyybe being the cutie's tutor would bring them closer? Though, he didn't know if the other was gay sooooo...

"Holy crap, your house is so nice..."

"Nah, it just looks like it does because it has a bunch of windows."

Taehyung let out a gasp as the dark haired boy opened the door to reveal a little puppy resembling a pom pom. "Oh my god! You have a puppy?!" The brunette scooped the little dog up and cuddled with it, making the other silently coo at his actions.

"Oh- no, he's not our dog, he's actually from the shelter I volunteer at but we ran out of space in the kennels so we're taking care of him for the time being." The boy had been secretly- well not so secretly volunteering at the shelter since he kinda had a soft spot for animals. Of course, no one else knew this except his mom and now, Taehyung.

"He's adorable!" Taehyung walked over to sit on the couch with the little dog. "What's his name?"

"Yeontan."

"Hi Yeontan, you're so cute!" Jungkook happily watched his crush and the little ball of sunshine play together. "Kookie- ooh that's a cute nickname," It really is. "Did you want to get working now or..."

"You two can keep playing while I get some coffee," Taehyung made a face. "Uh- do you not like coffee?" The dark haired boy raised an eyebrow. "Do you want juice instead?" Coffee was definitely an essential for Jungkook since he spent his nights on the court or watching anime in his room for hours on end.

"Yes, please! Thank you." The boy felt less nervous and anxious with Jungkook than he was at school- which was a good thing, a really good thing since he really wanted to be friends with him. That, and he would be studying with the other for awhile. His coffee brown eyes drifted to the other's soft hair. He wondered how it would be like to touch it, to comb through it as the other was laying on his lap or hugging him or during a heated ki-

"So, does little Taetae have a girlfriend? Or boyfriend!"

"Oh- no not at the moment, I'm just trying to focus on getting through highschool... no one has really liked me like that- at least I don't think so.

"I'm sure there's at least someone that likes you." Ok well that didn't tell Jungkook anything about his sexuality but it's okay, at least he isn't like some annoying stuck up homophobe. He picked up the glass of orange juice and placed it on the coffee table in front of the elder.

"Thanks, Kookie!" Taehyung gently placed Yeontan down after taking at least five hundred pictures of him. He sipped on the cold, orange liquid happily.

"So, I heard you're applying to Harvard? That's cool. What about any hobbies?"

Taehyung froze. "You're not curious about why I'm applying? What my safe school is? How my grades are?" Jungkook was one of the rare people that asked about his hobbies and what he liked. People are usually only interested in the college he's a applying to or how his grades are. As if that's the only thing interesting about him.

"Eh, no offense but I'm not too into sounding like an aunt on Christmas asking how school is. Such a boring question to start a conversation."

"Oh- well I used to really like photography but not really anymore. I love writing though... I just haven't had a lot of time on my hands to really be passionate about anything other than my grades." Taehyung let out a heavy sigh, high school sucked for him.

"I'm sure college will be your year."

"Possibly... so about the calc homework..."
