『Chapter 12』
Night fell and you had no choice but to follow the plan as they said. Walking down the road with only the moonlight as your guide, you waited for the criminal to arrive as you fidgeted with your fingers.
Sebastian was somewhere near, waiting and watching in case something happen. You muttered some words under your breath, kicking small pebbles on your way. Just when you wish things could end quickly, you saw a hooded figure right ahead of you. Figuring he might be the suspect, you led him to a quiet and dark alley. Not a surprise when he followed you behind.
"You know if you wanna do a stealth stunt, try a little better." Turning around, the man lunged at you as his face was revealed under his hood. Before he or you could even punch a strike, Sebastian jumped down from the roof, knocked the man down in an instant.
You knitted your brows, throwing your hands up, turning to Sebastian. "Wha— oh, come on!" Sebastian looked at you, tilting his head. "Whatever. So, that him?" You groaned, crouching next to the unconscious man. Flipping his body over, Sebastian moved next to you. "He matches all the description the young master gave us."
You huffed a breath, standing back up. "Well, The Yard's on it's the way?" You clapped your hands together, dusting off the dirt. Sebastian acknowledged your question as you then waited until the criminal was behind bars.
As the night went by, you decided to get some air. It was cold, you couldn't care less about it. You needed some refreshments after the cases and the task you were assigned. Besides, it wasn't like you could sleep after all that.
You took a seat under a tree, not too far from the manor. Hugging your knees, you leaned back against the wooden bark of the tree. The cold breeze of the air tickled your skin. You closed your eyes, resting them up a little until you didn't realize you actually fell asleep.

You awoke to a pair of warm arms. Your eyes laid on a pair of red ones, looking down at you. "You know if you keep staying outside, you're going to catch a cold." He spoke up. You didn't even bother to be snarky. Instead, you leaned your head against his chest.
You looked up into his eyes, studying his feature. You wondered how your life came across this. You had never thought you would actually have... What was it? Was this love?
"Sebastian, tell me something..." You paused, looking for the words to describe your feeling. "Hm?" He responded.
"How do you honestly... Feel about me?"
Sebastian looked off the distance, gathering his words. He closed his eyes, cast a warm smile on his lips before looking backs at you. "There are many words for that. Like care, want, ... Love." He replied. You felt yourself blushing at his words, looking away to hide it.
He put you down when you were back inside the manor. Reaching for your hand, he pulled it up to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss. "Good night, my love." You shook at the words. You weren't even sure of how you feel. But even so, so wanted to understand it.
Slowly, you pulled his arms to you, glancing up to his eyes. You traced your fingertips to his cheekbones, brushing it with your thumb. Reaching up, you pressed your lips against his, capturing him in a deep, blissful kiss. He tugged you closer, closing the gap between you as your bodies were flushed together. He trailed his fingers down your spine, feeling you shiver under his touch. His warm touch lingered on your skin as you pulled away. It wasn't enough, you thought.
A smirk cured on your lips as you let out a giggle. "The fact that you're making me like this is insane." You gazed at him. He brushed his hand to your cheek. "What can I say when you're the one who's driving me insane?"

"So, Y/n. Heard you're helping the master with his cases now, huh?" Bard popped a question as you and the others gathered in the kitchen. You released a short laugh and nodded. "Yeah, why? Jealous much?"
Bard knocked your shoulder as a joke as you took a seat. Mey-rin was one to ask another question, "Say, Y/n... Are you and Mr Sebastian... Together?" One which made you gulped a breath.
"What makes you say that?" You tried to deny her words. "Well, I noticed you are getting along so well with him more than he does with any of us."
A faint blush crept onto your cheeks as you sighed in defeat. "Okay, fine. Maybe I am. But that's that. Noting more in—" You stopped mid-sentence as you saw Sebastian right next to you all of a sudden. Like, where did he came from?
"Now now, Y/n. I'm sure your fellow friend would like to know more." He said, giving you a wink. You groaned in frustration, fingers rubbed your temple. "This is going to be the death of me."
