A/N: This is one of my old short story from years ago. I'm publishing this just to remind me where I started.

They said that there is no perfect relationship. In a perfect relationship, only love and happiness exist between couples and no hindrance occurs. But jealousy, distrust, miscommunication, insecurities and other problems that came up between two people in a relationship proves that there is no such thing as perfect relationship. That also applies to our couple Rhia and Clarenz, they are just perfect for each other but their relationship is not perfect like people assumed.

They met one summer when they're both on vacation from their work. Clarenz is the president of his own company and have a cruise ship where he met Rhia, while Rhia is an ordinary salary woman who loves to read and watch boy's love thing. She's a complete 'fujoshi' and prefer her addiction to BL's than having her own love life.

Rhia just turned 22 and freshly graduate while Clarenz was 26 when they met each other. They instantly fall for each other and a year after, they decided to get married and start a family.

A year later she gave birth to a healthy baby boy and they named him Rhenz. He's their only child because Rhea's body couldn't handle another child birth and if they ever decided to have another it would be risky. So Rhenz have been the joy of their lives as they spoiled him but he started to act strange as he came to his teenage years.

Rhea and Clarenz got worried so they decided to observe him but what they discovered shocked them both.

They discovered Rhenz's secret about being gay. It is a great shocked for Rhea but it affects Clarenz the most. Clarenz accepted the fact that his wife had this addiction about gays even though he's grossed out but the real thing about their son being gay, he couldn't just accept that.

At first they confronted their only son about it and he ended up confessing his true sexual orientation. Rhea accepted him easily and happy that he's finally had the confidence to be himself, but Clarenz couldn't accept the fact that his only child and heir is gay. He beat him and tried everything to bring him back to the right track but failed. Rhea did her best to convince her husband to accept their son but he's close minded. She could only console her son, support and protect him from his own father.

Clarenz started to treat Rhea coldly and blames her for their son being gay. He couldn't bare his son as a failure as he preferred to Rhenz, and end up kicking him out of the house. Rhea begged him not to throw their son out but Clarenz mind remain un-wavered.

Rhea had no choice but to secretly send her son money and gave him a house to stay as she remained with her husband to do her duties as a wife to him, even though he started to treat her coldly and went him late and drunk but she never complained.

Even though it pains her to be treated like that by her husband, she stays by his side no matter what because she loves him. Although she wanted to be with her son so badly. She visits her son secretly but Clarenz found out about it and he got really mad that he almost ends up throwing her out as well.

Their relationship got worst as months turned to years. Clarenz barely went home where Rhea patiently waited for him with meals already prepared for him.

One day as Rhea went to the supermarket to buy some groceries although going out of the house is something she barely did. On her way home she decided to stopped by the mall to buy books but while parking her car beside the hotel entrance which is located beside the mall, she saw her husband with a woman hugging and kissing while walking out of the hotel.

She blinked her eyes multiple-times but, the fact that the man she saw is unmistakably her husband. Her husband is cheating behind her back in the broad day light. But since when? What about their promises to love no one else but each other until they grow old? Does she look old so he looked for younger ones? Is it because their son is gay and it is because of her unusual hobby? Will he leave her for another? What is wrong with her that Clarenz wouldn't want to go home to her anymore?

She stood frozen beside her car as her husband's car drove off. Many questions run through her mind as she decided to go back home instead. Tears fall off her eyes thinking over their situation. It worsens her heart aches thinking that she's alone in their huge house. If only their son still lives there and if only her husband went home every day she wouldn't be lonely.

She never thought her family will be broken like this. She came from a middle class family but her parents are still together and her older brother and sister have their family of their own as well but not broken.

Why can't her husband accept their son? He is still their own flesh and blood! Why would he hate and blame her for something she can't control?

A week had passed since she saw her husband with someone else before he went home but just to take some things and clothes. She tried to talked to him.

"Clarenz let's talk, please," she pleaded following him to his study room.

"There's nothing to talk about," he said while putting papers inside his suitcase not giving her a glance.

Her heart sink as her husband ignored her. She is so desperate to clear things, she holds her tears back she wouldn't let him witness her weakness.

"Yes we have, Clarenz!" she said bravely. The last time they fought was because of their son. "What is wrong with us? Why are you so cold to me so suddenly? Why aren't you going home anymore? Why do you-"

"ENOUGH!" he cut her off. "I don't want to talk to you anymore, okay?" he said irritated. "I even don't want to see you!"

Her eyes widened. He doesn't want to see her? Tears started to fall without notice. "W-What are y-you saying?" she walked to reach him but he brushed her of. "B-But I-I thought you love me?"

"Yes, I loved you," he said clenching his teeth. She fisted her hands and bit her lips hearing the word love used in past tense. So he does not love her anymore?

"But because of you, my son become a failure and you couldn't even give me another child!" he said bitterly.

Her hands shook in anger and pity for herself. "So that's it all about? I thought you accepted the fact that I cannot give you more child! God knows how much I want too!" she cried as she falls on the floor with her hand covering her tear stained face. "It is not my fault our son became like that! Why can't you accept him the way he is? He is still our child!" she yelled between gasped and sobbing.

Clarenz clenched his fist as he stared at his wife. He can't accept his son so he's taking it out on his wife. He loves her but that is not enough to amend with his tormented heart and mind. So he spends more time in his office working, after work he went to different bars to get drunk and end up getting a woman to sleep with.

This way he had no reason to see his wife whom reminds him of his failure of a son. She reminds him of the reality that his only child turned out like that. After getting sober and feeling guilty for sleeping with someone else, he got more drunks and without noticing it, it becomes a habit and it happened like a cycle.

He grabbed his suitcase and walked passed his wife who run after him. He's had enough of the drama so he wanted to leave. He walked down the stairs fast while his wife chased after him.

While Rhea run desperately to reach and stop her husband from leaving, her feet slipped one step. Clarenz turned as he reached the door after hearing a scream and a loud thud, only to find his wife's body unconscious and bloody on the floor.

He instantly panicked and run to her side but she is not moving and faintly breathing. She hit her head first on the floor causing her to bleed. He fished his phone and call for an ambulance.

He's mind went blank as he begged his wife to open her eyes. He chanted a soft sorry repeatedly as the ambulance arrive. They brought her to the hospital immediately. They took her to the operating room while the medic said that his wife's condition is critical.

He waited patiently outside the operating room. He blames himself for what happened, he feels guilty for his wife's accident. If he only listened to her, if he didn't blame her, if only he didn't cheat behind her back. He can't believe himself when he realized he did and said hurtful things to his wife, despite all his promises to love and cherish her no matter what.

His eyes started to water. What if she wouldn't make it? What if she dies!? What would he do if something bad happen to her? The truth is he still loves her so much despite their son being gay nor her disability to give him another child. He wouldn't choose her to be his wife if he didn't love her. He will love no one else but her.

He prayed to God to save her wife and promised to make things right.

After long hours of waiting, the operation was successful. The doctor assured that Rhea has no complications and might only have a trauma but all in all she is physically fine now. They only have to wait 'till she wakes up and recover.

Two weeks went off but she hasn't woken up yet and Clarenz and their families are getting worried. Rhenz still hasn't talked to his dad and avoided meeting him in the hospital.

Another week went by before Rhea finally opened her eyes. Clarenz was the first one to talked to her but to his surprise she couldn't recognize him at all, but she looked for her son instead and when she didn't see him she screamed and throw everything within her reach.

Clarenz talked with the doctor as to why his wife forgotten only about him. The doctor said that it has something to do with her mind. It is something she psychologically did subconsciously. Her brain wanted to forget something and she shut off her memories of a certain thing and it has something to do with her emotion as well. The doctor didn't pry but he implied that he might done something to make her wife want to forget about him.

It's really hard for Clarenz to take care of her wife since she didn't trust him because she had no recollection of him, but he promised to himself that he'll do anything for her. She spends more time with their son than him, since she won't go back to their house if their son doesn't go with them so he let his son back. Even though they lived again under the same roof, he hasn't talked to his son yet. Rhenz avoided him at all cost and somehow it pains him. It makes him feel lonely as he went back home every evening from work. So this is how she felt when I left her here, he thought to himself.

Clarenz is determined to win his wife's heart no matter what at any cost. He started to have the urge to fix their family and considered talking to his son.

He started to observed his son silently to be able to understand him, but he hasn't changed at all from the son he raised all this year.

He can't believe that he's been blinded by his pride as a man and a business man that, having a gay son is shameful and a disgrace. In the end he realized that he wasted time hating his son and wife, especially being the cause of her wife's accident. If it wasn't for his narrow-mindedness, everything will be fine and his family won't be in this situation.

After thinking over things, he made up his mind. He will make things right.

He approached his son who almost run literally away from him but he stopped him.

"Wait up son," he said calmly but deep inside his nervous. "Let's talk," he said as his son hesitated yet followed him to the balcony.

Rhenz just stared far away, afraid that his dad might kick him out again. Even though he's avoiding him purposely, the truth is he missed him so much. He waited patiently for his father to start praying that the worst won't happen. He flinched when Clarenz cleared his throat.

"Rhenz," he started looking far away. "I know I've been a bad father and husband to you and your mom," he turned to his son and put his right hand over his son's shoulder. "And I know that I've been wrong for judging and not accepting you," he continued as Rhenz eyes started to water. "I've been blinded and refused to see that even if you're gay or whatever..." he paused taking a deep breath. "...you're still my son and nothing can change that." Clarenz said as he pulled his crying son into a warm embrace.

Unknown to them, Rhea is secretly watching them forgive each other, with tears on her eyes and a smile on her lips.

Finally, her family will go back the way it's supposed to be. No matter how many problems arrived in their way, they will make it through with the help of each other.

A year later, Rhea, Clarenz and Rhenz are on a vacation trip. They went on a cruise for a month on the same ship owned by Clarenz where he met Rhea.

In the end, after Rhenz and Clarenz compromised, Rhea admitted that she recovered from her memory lost weeks before that day but pretended that she's not recovered yet and wait until his son and husband sort out things between them. She also confronted her husband telling him that she knows that he's cheating. Clarenz literally kneel down and cried for her forgiveness but she's still mad so he made it up to her. He started to court her again while he made sure to have time for his son.

Thing started to go back the way it should be. Rhea smiled as she watched her husband scold their son for flirting with his business partner's straight son who happens to be on vacation as well.

"But dad! I'm not a child anymoooore!" Rhenz pouted as he whines like a girl.

"I said not to flirt with my business partner's bastard son! He's just going to hurt your feelings!" Clarenz remained unaverred.

Rhea chuckles, she didn't know Clarenz will be over protective towards their son as if he has a daughter instead. Well, she told her husband that their son will surely be the submissive so, that might be the reason he's guarding his son.

She laughed when Arvine 'the son of his husband's business partner' approached Rhenz and asked to have a chat. Rhenz run away from his father to go with Arvin leaving Clarenz fuming and cursing to himself silently at the loss.

She walked beside her husband and pat his shoulder. Clarenz wrapped his arms around her waist protectively as she leaned on his shoulder.

"Come on! Our son is already at the right age to explore," she said leading him near the railing to have an over view of the see. "You can't chase off the guys who's been charmed by our pretty little son!" she laughed as he scowled.

"But those guys will only hurt him!" he complained.

"But getting hurt is part of the relationship, be it love, companionship or friendship. Let him grow up, Hun. You know that there's nothing perfect on anything in this world! That will be too boring!" she laughed as he sighed.
