Oracles are useless
[MARTHA'S POV]
Flashback...
I was running through the woods, being chased by someone. I don't even know how I got here, first thing I knew I left a building only to be chased away from the city by monsters who wanted me for breakfast.
I've been on the run for hours, but I knew no matter how much I ran, I wasn't stopping.
A large animal growled behind me as it just started getting closer. At the same time a man laughed.
"You can't escape me forever!" he snarled; I just ran faster.
It was dark, I was hungry, but even then, I didn't dare stop. Who knows what would've happened to me if I did, so I didn't stop for anything.
But eventually, my vision started to get blurry as I eventually slowed down. no...I can't slow down...not now!
Please...someone, anyone...Hades...Poseidon...Father...please!
I gasped when I eventually hit a dead end. Will this be it...I was alone, I was pregnant, no one was helping me, no one cared. I turned around to see the man inching closer to me, his smile plastered to his face.
"It'll be alright, young demigod," he smirked. "I will take good care of you, don't you worry."
He grabbed my arm. I tried to struggle, but the more I did, the tighter his grip was on my hand. Ultimately, I went with him. I didn't have a choice anyway. He wrapped chains around my hands and pulled me onto the Minotaur next to him. With a sharp grin, he took me with him. To a place where I would be staying for years...how long? I lost count long ago
Present time...
I stared at the god in front of me. He looked like an Egyptian king. If an Egyptian king had such crinkly skin that it'll put any old person to shame (no hate to old people, I love you.). He just stared at me, giving me that signature grin that made me want to wipe that smile right off of him.
He walked away from me and stood right in front of my daughter. I wanted to end him right there, but I couldn't. He just examined her for a moment until he suddenly put two fingers on her neck. I don't know what he did to her, but her eyes snapped open, and she started gasping and breathing heavily.
The god smiled. "Oh good," he said before walking away. "I thought you were dead. Can't have that can we?"
I rolled my eyes before looking at Heather. She looked just like her father, from the black hair to her pale skin, though he had most of my features to go along with it. I didn't have most of my powers except for healing and I checked her, and she was okay apart from a few scratches on her back and legs. Her breathing slowed down to normal, but I could see her head was hurting badly. She tried to sit up but winced as she tried to do it too quickly.
"It's not a good idea to do that," I told her. "But if you really want to, I advise you to do it slowly, so it won't hurt as much."
She took a deep breath and started getting up, but slowly this time. Once she sat up fully, she was still wobbly, so she just fell into my lap. I smiled at this and started patting her head.
"Don't worry," I said. "You'll get used to it after a while."
Heather looked up at me. "How do you know?"
I scoffed a bit. "I've been here since I was pregnant, which was...about thirteen, fourteen years. I don't remember."
Her eyes narrowed for a bit before they widened in realization. "Mom?"
I gave her a warm smile. "Ciao, mia cara(hello, my darling)"
Heather looked at me for another moment before she smiled. "This is...a weird way for us to meet."
I chuckled. "I know," I admitted. "But I'm so happy you're okay."
Heather looked down at the chains on her arms. "I don't think okay describes the situation we're in."
"That's true," I said. "But I guess it was either here or in the Underworld."
Heather said nothing. She just put her head back in my lap. "We're going to get out of here."
I sighed. "I tried, this place is maximum security, there is no way we're getting out of here."
My daughter scoffed. "I've been in more dangerous situations than this, we're getting out of here. Now we just have to see if my brother can read Morse Code."
I looked up for a moment before backtracking. "Wait, what?"
[LOGAN'S POV]
I stopped at the door of the attic where the Oracle rested. I always envied Percy for his quest and for going to the Oracle, now I'm here and it just feels...hypocritical.
Kenzie, Travis, and Chandler were behind me.
"So you think the Oracle would just explain everything to you?" Kenzie asked.
"Of course not," I admitted. "But I just think it'll give me just something that'll tell me what we're working with."
Kenzie nodded as I turned back around to the attic. I took a deep breath before opening the door. The smell of smoke and dust filled my nose as I continued on.
I was walking on until I finally saw her. The Oracle, sitting down in a raggedy old chair. Oh yeah, this is definitely how Percy felt. Now I regret hating him.
I sighed before walking forward. "Uh...hi, Oracle! I'm Logan Agulera, uh, son of Poseidon?" I took a deep breath. "Who is Momus and what do I need to do to save my sister?"
It was quiet for a minute until the oracle started glowing green. Green smoke started coming out of her mouth and it kept growing until it formed into a woman in chains. She had brown hair and looked exhausted.
"Mom?" I whispered.
"Five shall journey west through the land of rain,
One shall be caught in a web of disdain,
The daughter of bone, 3 days in unknown,
A lost god, his powers stolen to hone,
You shall encounter a friend and foe,
And save your world wielding a cursed bow."
After she explained the prophecy, the smoke went back into her mouth, and she closed it shut. I stood there for a moment, thinking about what she told me.
But...before I could fully comprehend anything, the attic door swung open, and Chiron poked his head through.
"Living room." he ordered. "Now."

Travis, Connor, Kenzie, Chandler, and I were sitting down in the living room watching Chiron as he was just pacing around the room, scolding us for going into the attic without informing anyone.
Travis raised his hand. "Well, technically, he did tell us, and we aren't anyone so..."
Kenzie put his hand out. "Not now, Travis."
Chiron looked at all of us before sighing. "Look, kids, I don't know what is going on here, but going to the Oracle is not what to do."
"Why not?" I asked. "Someone is telling me to find the map of Momus, and the oracle is clearly telling me the same thing–though it isn't as clear as the paper..."
Chiron sighed. "Logan," he said. "What did the Oracle say?"
I took a deep breath before reciting the oracle to him. Once I was done, everyone looked shocked.
"This 'lost god' has to be Momus," Kenzie suggested. "He sounds really irrelevant though, so I'm surprised he hasn't faded by now."
"Maybe he did, and he managed to come back somehow," Chandler suggested. "Can gods or immortals come back from fading?"
"Not at all," Chiron said. "At least, not that I know of."
"But what does 'daughter of bones, 3 days in unknown' mean?" Travis asked. "I know daughter of bones means Heather, but what does the three days part mean?"
Chiron huffed. "This prophecy keeps getting more confusing," he muttered. "It used to be simple to understand, but now it's just spouting riddles."
"Well, aren't prophecies supposed to be confusing?" Chandler asked. "And if the three days thing mean something dangerous then we need to go quickly."
I backtracked. "We?"
Kenzie nodded. "You don't think you're going to rescue our best friend without us, right? Also, the prophecy says 5. You plus the four of us."
I sighed before nodding. "Okay," I said before turning to Chiron. "Can we go?"
Chiron looked at all of us. "Please be careful. You don't know what this god is capable of."
I nodded. "We will."
[MARTHA'S POV]
Heather and I were silent. We didn't know what to say to each other and it was obvious. I mean, we've been apart for years, what should we talk about her?
I looked at her for a moment before I decided to test my luck. "So...what's your favorite Mythomagic figurine?"
My daughter gasped before talking about her set and her top favorite figurines and cards she had. It felt nice to hear her talk after years of me not being able to hear her voice. I wish we could stay like this forever.
But someone had to ruin it. A boy walked towards us. Heather stopped talking once she noticed him and her happy smile turned into a scowl as she glared at him.
"Heather," he greeted.
"Castellan," she said, like the name was like a poison on her tongue.
The boy smiled at her. "What? Is my first name too difficult for you?"
Heather rolled her eyes. "Why are you here, Castellan?" she asked.
The Castellan boy chuckled. "You know why I'm here, Heather. I know you sent that message to Logan. One of my friends told me that he's going on a quest to save you."
Heather gave me a smile. It was a look that said, 'I told you so'. And I can admit that it looked mischievous.
"Don't look so victorious now," Castellan told her. "I was told that one of your loved ones is to be punished, so I chose one that I know would make you behave."
Two large men walked in carrying a small bag. Once they were beside Castellan, they threw the bag at her. Heather continued to glare at him.
Castellan motioned to the bag. "Open it," he urged.
Heather opened the bag and gasped in horror once she saw what it was. "Eris!" she cried, pulled a small bobcat out of the bag.
I gasped at the sight of it. I put my hand on the cat. "Don't worry, she's not dead, we can heal her."
Tears started falling out of her eyes as she slowly handed me the cat. I was confused until the room suddenly started to get colder and colder and before any of us knew it, Heather snapped up and started trying to attack Castellan.
"YOU INSENSITIVE BITCH!" she cried. "How could you do this?"
Castellan smirked. "I'm just doing what Kronos told me to."
"And you aren't thinking that what he's asking you to do is wrong?" I asked. "Or are you so convinced that he's going to give you this 'new world' that you are too blind to see it?"
I pulled Heather back down as she just cried in my arms. She doesn't have her powers except her death stare so she couldn't do anything about Castellan.
"Don't worry," I said. "I can heal her."
Heather just moved closer to me, sobbing quietly.
Castellan nodded. "Maybe that'll teach you not to mess with the plans of Kronos."
Okay, I was this close to killing him, but I made that mental note next to another one in my brain.
Getting out of this hell hole.
