Aurelie sat on the couch in her living room, her legs tucked under her as she stared blankly at the TV.

The premiere had been a whirlwind of excitement and emotion, but what lingered most in her mind was her conversation with Walker. It had left her feeling like she was floating in some weird in-between place.

She hadn't realized how much she'd missed him until they spoke, and now, it was all she could think about.

Her sister Sienna plopped down beside her, holding two mugs of tea. "You've been quiet ever since we got back. What's up?"

Aurelie looked at her for a second, her thoughts swirling, before taking the mug and sipping slowly. "I talked to Walker," she said softly, the words hanging in the air between them.

Sienna raised her eyebrows and glanced toward their mom, Jackie, who had just walked in from the kitchen and was now leaning against the counter, clearly interested. "Talked? Like just... talked?" Sienna probed, her voice cautious.

Aurelie sighed, setting the mug down on the table. "Yeah, we talked after the premiere. It was nice, actually. We said we'd try being friends again. But..." She paused, the weight of her emotions pressing on her. "I'm not over him."

Jackie walked over, sitting down on the armrest of the couch, watching Aurelie carefully. "What do you mean, sweetie?" she asked gently.

Aurelie fiddled with the sleeve of her hoodie, her face a mixture of frustration and vulnerability. "I thought I could just move on, you know? It's been months, I'm doing the press for The Necklace, and I've been busy. I thought I was okay with everything, but seeing him again..." Her voice faltered as she met her mom's eyes. "I still love him, Mom."

Sienna's expression softened as she leaned in closer. "What are you going to do? Do you think you guys could... try again?"

Aurelie shook her head slowly. "I don't know. I mean, we agreed to just be friends for now, but the way I feel hasn't changed. I don't think it ever really went away."

Jackie exchanged a look with Sienna before leaning closer to Aurelie. "If you still have feelings for him, there's nothing wrong with that, Aurel. Love doesn't just disappear because time passes. You and Walker were close for a reason. But... you need to be sure that if you do want to try again, it's for the right reasons. Not because you feel like you have to, but because you really believe you can make it work."

Aurelie nodded, tears prickling the corners of her eyes. "I know. It's just... I'm scared. I don't want to get hurt again, and I don't want to hurt him. But I miss him, and being around him tonight made me realize I still care so much."

Sienna reached over, taking Aurelie's hand. "Then maybe it's worth having that conversation with him. At least to figure out where you both stand. He might be feeling the same way."

Aurelie swallowed, looking between her mom and her sister. "Do you think I'd be crazy if I asked him if we could try again?"

Jackie smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair out of Aurelie's face. "No, sweetheart. Love is complicated, but it's worth it when it's real. Just take your time. There's no rush."

Aurelie nodded, feeling a little more at peace. "I think
I'll talk to him. I don't know where it'll lead, but I don't want to leave things unsaid."

Sienna squeezed her hand. "We're here for you, no matter what."

Aurelie smiled, feeling the support from her family wash over her. Whatever happened next, she knew she wasn't alone.
