Aurelie sat in the plush chair on set, the bright lights reflecting off the shiny surfaces around her.

Her heart thudded steadily, each beat reminding her to stay in the moment, to focus on the here and now.

She glanced to her left at Sienna, her younger  sister, who was seated with effortless poise

and then to her right at Jacob, her co star who she worked with on the black phone and now again on the necklace .

They were all here for the same reason—to promote their latest project, The Necklace.

The interviewer, a woman with warm eyes and an eager smile, leaned forward slightly, her notepad resting on her knee.

"Aurelie, you've had such a varied career for someone so young. How did working on The Necklace compare to your previous roles, especially given that you were working alongside your sister?"

Aurelie took a breath, pushing aside the slight tension that had settled in her shoulders. "Working on The Necklace was...different," she began, her voice steady but thoughtful. "There was an intimacy to it because the story is so personal, and sharing that space with my sister Sienna made it even more special. We've worked together before, but this time, it felt like we were really in sync. Like we understood each other's characters on a deeper level. "

Sienna smiled at her sister's words, giving her a slight nod of encouragement. "Exactly. It was as if we were living the story, not just acting it. And having Jacob there with us—someone who's become like family—just brought everything together."

Jacob chuckled. "I guess I'm the honorary Moreau sibling now."

Sienna smiled up at the older boy " hey ! You always have been!"

The interviewer laughed, scribbling something on her notepad before shifting the conversation. "The movie was shot in the same location where Percy Jackson was filmed. How did it feel to be back in that environment but for a completely different project?"

Aurelie managed a small smile. "It was surreal. Being back in the same place but telling a completely different story—it felt like coming full circle. It was like...I was revisiting an old chapter of my life, but with new eyes."

As the conversation continued, Aurelie found herself nodding along, answering questions about the filming process, the challenges, and the joys of working on The Necklace. But then, something caught her eye—a bracelet the interviewer was wearing. The charm dangling from it sparkled under the lights, catching the light in a way that was impossible to ignorereminded her of something.

Without realizing it, Aurelie's hand drifted to the necklace around her neck, a delicate piece of gold with her name in cursive. The necklace Walker had given her.

Her fingers traced the familiar letters, and the room around her seemed to fade as she was pulled into a memory, one she hadn't revisited in a long time.

Walker and Aurelie 2 months

The sun was just beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the small park where Walker had first asked Aurelie to be his girlfriend.

The trees rustled gently in the evening breeze, and the scent of autumn leaves filled the air. Walker led Aurelie to a secluded spot beneath a large oak tree, the very same place they had shared their first kiss.

"Close your eyes," Walker said, a teasing smile playing on his lips.

Aurelie raised an eyebrow but did as he asked, closing her eyes and waiting in anticipation. She heard the rustle of paper, the soft click of a clasp, and then felt something cool being draped around her neck.

"Okay, you can open them now."

Aurelie opened her eyes and looked down. Around her neck was a delicate gold necklace, the word "Aurelie" written in cursive, shining softly in the fading light.

"Walker...this is beautiful," she whispered, her fingers gently touching the letters.

"I wanted to give you something special," Walker said, his voice warm and sincere. "Something to remind you of us, no matter what happens."

Aurelie felt a lump form in her throat. She looked up at Walker, her heart swelling with affection. "Thank you. It's perfect."

He leaned in, brushing his lips against hers in a tender kiss, one that spoke of all the love and care he had for her. They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them fading away as they focused only on each other.

"Aurelie?" Sienna's voice cut through the fog of memories, pulling Aurelie back to the present. She blinked, realizing that she had been absentmindedly fiddling with the necklace the whole time.

The interviewer glanced at her curiously, sensing the brief moment of distraction. Sienna nudged her gently, giving her a knowing look. "You okay?"

Aurelie quickly nodded, forcing a smile. "Yeah, sorry. Just...zoned out for a second."

The truth was, it had been exactly one month since she and Walker had broken up.

The memory of that necklace, of the love that had once been so strong, was still fresh in her mind. They had parted ways amicably, but the pain was still new, still raw.

The breakup had come shortly after they finished filming The Necklace.

and though they had both tried to stay friends, things hadn't been the same.

As the interview continued, Aurelie did her best to push the memories aside, to focus on the task at hand.

But every now and then, her fingers would drift back to that necklace, and the memories would come rushing back, no matter how hard she tried to keep them at bay.
