As Aurelie packed her suitcase in her hotel room in Atlanta, the weight of the past few months hung over her.

She had been filming and doing press for the movie, and now it was finally time to go home.

The room felt strangely empty, despite the clutter of clothes and belongings scattered around.

The silence was interrupted by the familiar ring of her phone.

"Scarlett," Aurelie said, smiling as she answered the call.

"Aurel! How's it going?" Scarlett's voice was bright, but there was an undertone of concern that Aurelie could easily detect.

Aurelie sighed as she folded a sweater and placed it into her suitcase. "It's good. Just packing up to head back home. How's everything over there?"

Scarlett chuckled softly. "You wouldn't believe how much has happened since you left. Claire and Aryan have been hanging out a lot more—like, a lot. I'm starting to think there might be something going on between them."

Aurelie paused, her hands hovering over the clothes in her suitcase. "Really? Claire and Aryan? I always knew not gonna lie "

"I know, right? But they've been practically inseparable. And get this—Ellie and Mason? They're officially dating now."

Aurelie smiled faintly, but there was a pang of sadness in her chest. "Ya I know Ellie told me a while ago it's fucking weird like mason was crazy about my cousin "

"Oh shit And guess what?" Scarlett continued, "Ivy and Charlie are officially dating too. Remember when everyone thought they were just hooking up?"

Aurelie laughed softly, her mind drifting to the countless conversations she had with Walker about Ivy and Charlie. "Yeah, Walker and I used to joke about that all the time."

There was a moment of silence on the line before Scarlett spoke again, her voice softer. "Sorry, Aurel."

Aurelie frowned, taken aback. "Why are you apologizing?"

"I just... I feel awful that I wasn't there for you when you and Walker broke up," Scarlett admitted, her voice tinged with guilt. "I should've been there, and I hate myself for not being around when you needed me the most."

Aurelie's heart ached at the raw emotion in Scarlett's words. She sank down onto the edge of the bed, her gaze distant. "Scar, it's okay. You've been there for me in so many other ways. I don't blame you, not even a little bit. Things were just... complicated."

"I still feel like I should've been by your side," Scarlett said, her voice breaking slightly.

Aurelie swallowed the lump in her throat, trying to keep her own emotions in check. "Well I'm coming home and you'll be there then , and that's all that matters. And honestly, I'm just glad to be heading back home and seeing everyone again."

"Me too," Scarlett replied, her tone brightening. "We're going to have a proper hangout, just like old times. And hey, maybe we can figure out what's really going on with Claire and Aryan."

Aurelie smiled, feeling a bit lighter. "Sounds like a plan. I can't wait to be home."
