The energy of Comic-Con still buzzed in the air as Aurelie, Walker, Aryan, and Leah strolled into a local burger joint.

The place was a classic diner, with red leather booths and a neon sign that flickered slightly as it announcedmBest Burgers in Town.

The four of them were still riding the high from their panel, where they'd spent the day talking about Percy Jackson with fans and sharing sneak peeks of the upcoming season.

"Man, I'm starving," Aryan announced as they slid into a booth near the back. "I could eat, like, five burgers right now."

Leah laughed, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as she settled in beside him. "I think one will be enough for you, big guy."

Aurelie smiled as she took a seat across from them, Walker sliding in next to her.

The booth was snug, and she could feel the warmth of Walker's arm pressed against hers. It was a comforting presence after the whirlwind of the day.

The waiter came by to take their orders—burgers, fries, and milkshakes all around.

As they waited for the food to arrive, the conversation flowed easily, everyone still buzzing from the excitement of Comic-Con.

"That was wild today," Walker said, leaning back against the booth. "I don't think I've ever seen that many people in one place."

Leah nodded, her eyes wide with excitement. "Right? And the costumes! Some of those fans went all out."

Aryan grinned, pulling out his phone to show off some pictures he'd taken. "Check this out—there was a guy dressed as Poseidon who looked like he just walked off the set. It was insane."

Aurelie glanced at the photos, laughing at some of the more over-the-top costumes. "The fans really know how to bring it. It's so cool to see how much people love the show."

As they continued to chat, the food arrived, and the table quickly filled with the smell of sizzling burgers and crispy fries. Conversation turned to lighter topics—funny moments on set, their favorite Comic-Con experiences, and the inevitable behind-the-scenes bloopers that had them all in stitches.

"So, Aurelie," Leah said between bites of her burger, "I saw some of those fans shipping you and Walker pretty hard today. How does that feel?"

Aurelie nearly choked on her milkshake, feeling her cheeks heat up. She shot a playful glare at Leah, who just smirked in return. "They're just excited about the characters, that's all."

Walker, not missing a beat, leaned in with a grin. "Yeah, just the characters, right?"

Aurelie nudged him with her elbow, trying to suppress a smile. "Exactly."

Aryan laughed, clearly enjoying the teasing. "You two have some of the best chemistry on the show. So-"

Aurelie shot him a look " okay Adele let's talk about you and my wife Claire "

Aryan gave her a side eye " hey okay first off Claire is my friend and second of all I was a little boy -"

"Well, we do spend a lot of time together," Walker said, his tone light but with a hint of something deeper. He caught Aurelie's eye, and for a moment, the world seemed to narrow down to just the two of them.

Leah, sensing the shift, quickly changed the subject, launching into a story about one of their more chaotic filming days.

The conversation returned to its easy rhythm, the friends enjoying the chance to relax and unwind together.

After they finished their meal, the group lingered for a while, not wanting the night to end. Eventually, though, it was time to go. They stepped out into the cool evening air, the streets still bustling with Comic-Con attendees making their way home.

"We should do this more often," Leah said as they walked toward the subway. "Hanging out like this, I mean."

"Definitely," Aryan agreed. "This was a good day."

As they reached the subway entrance, Leah and Aryan waved goodbye, heading off in different directions. That left Aurelie and Walker standing alone on the sidewalk, the night quieting around them.

Aurelie looked up at Walker, a smile playing on her lips. "Thanks for today. It was fun."

Walker returned her smile, a softness in his eyes. "Anytime, Aurelie."

For a moment, they just stood there, neither of them wanting to break the spell of the evening. Then, with a quick squeeze of her hand, Walker stepped back. "Come on, let's get you home."

Aurelie felt her heart skip a beat as they started walking, side by side, back toward her place. The night might have been winding down, but something told her that this was just the beginning.
