When we arrived at the apartment block, Alex parked in the underground parking of the place.
She parked the car in one reserved for her as it had her name on it, that was a little cool having your own name on a parking space.
"Now I did go shopping as well to get your room set up, plus your parents did ship some things over, once that comes in we can change some things around," Alex spoke as we got out of the car.
I nodded as a reply before grabbing my suitcase out of the boot of the car, we walked out from under it and towards the door, when a man opened it.
"Welcome back Miss Summers, is this your niece you picked up from the airport?" The doorman asked.
"Thank you Zack and yes this is my niece. There will be a few things coming here over the next few weeks. Just thought I'd let you know," Alex replied.
"I'll keep an eye out Miss Summers, welcome to Portman apartments," Zack said as he faced me.
I smiled softly before looking down a little, "Thank you, I'm happy to be here."
Alex and I took the elevator up to the 5th floor where her apartment was, we stood in silence as the elevator went up. Once it stopped at level 5, Alex was the first to get off before I followed behind with my suitcase. Her apartment was literally across from the elevator which was so convenient.
Alex unlocked the apartment door, stepping inside, leaving it open so I could walk inside. She shut it behind her, the apartment looked the sort of the same when I was young.
I made it to my bedroom which was closest to the main bathroom making it easy for me to access, I placed my suitcase on the bed. I felt a stray tear fall from my eyes, gently wiping it away. I opened my suitcase and began putting my clothes and toiletries away.
It all hit me as I started putting clothes away that, everything has changed. My life will never be the same, more tears started fall from my eyes as I sat on the bed letting them fall. I cried softly covering my face, this was going to be a long process for me and my child.
I was thankful that I had a supportive family, that cared for me, but it was still hard leaving everything behind. I heard a soft knock on the door making me look up.
"Oh Melissa, are you alright?" Alex asked gently as she saw my face. She rushed over towards me.
"Yeah I'm okay, just everything's hitting my now that I'm here, I'm sorry," I whispered.
Alex shook her head, "No, don't apologise for anything. I just wanted to let you know I've gotten you a job where I work. You will be my assistant, that way I can help you when you need. You will also meet the CEO, as he's back."
"Well actually I've already met the CEO, I met him on the plane," I replied with a smile, I was grateful that she had given me a job in her department.
I was actually wondering what type of job I could do, I couldn't do much considering my condition at the moment. I wouldn't be able to work with just men, or be around anyone who was touchy.
"Oh did you, well you'll meet him again. He's coming to my office for a business meeting with a few others. I'll make sure you are well covered, I won't tell them anything about what's going on, but if you feel overwhelmed you are welcome to leave for a few moments," Alex spoke.
I smiled gently, "Thank you."

The next morning I had gotten myself ready for my job at Co Happy, I was wearing black pants, a white polka dot shirt with a black jacket. Also wore some black flats, I wasn't fond of dresses anymore, to me they were too short. I hated that feeling but there wasn't must I could do.
I bit my lip before leaving the bedroom to smell breakfast cooking, the smell sent me into overdrive, "Mhmm, what are you making Aunty Alex?" I asked.
"Just some toast, I've heard pregnancy can be hard especially in the first few months, until you reach 4 months," she replied.
I smiled gently, she wasn't wrong, I haven't been able to hold a lot of things down since I found out I was pregnant. I couldn't even stomach coffee even though I lived off on coffee. I grabbed the toast once she had handed it to me and took some bites from it.
Alex was wearing a grey suit, with black heels and white shirt, she also had a grey briefcase seated on the bench.
"What is in the briefcase?" I asked, biting my lip at my curiosity.
"Oh it's just some new plans, being business manager there at Co Happy, sometimes we need a new uplift to some toys or franchise and these are some ideas I'll be presenting towards Mr Styles and the rest of the team," Alex replied as if it was nothing.
I relaxed a little as I finished my toast, taking a few sips of water as well, Alex had already packed some snacks into my handbag this morning for work, so I could snack during the day as well.
"There is also a cafeteria downstairs you can head to whenever you feel like something different," Alex replied as she grabbed her car keys, briefcase and handbag.

Alex arrived at Co Happy where she parked by the front in the staff car park, the building was huge, it was at least 20 stories high, I actually felt sick looking at the height of it. I followed Alex inside where she swiped her ID card into the machine, hearing it beep she stepped inside, allowing me to follow.
"You'll get yours soon," Alex said as she walked towards the elevator pressing the button.
My heart began to race as I noticed a lot of businessmen were standing behind us. I felt dizzy as I started to panic, Alex noticed my change of mood. I heard her curse before she gently held my hand.
"It'll be okay," she whispered.
I tried to calm my heart down but I couldn't seeing them all get closer towards me. I wanted to run, but if I ran they would hurt me. I backed away slowly from crowd.
"I can't do this," I whispered only to turn around and bump into, you guessed it Harry again. "I'm sorry," I spoke, my voice cracked before I started heading towards the door.
Alex shouted my name, as she followed me out. Harry frowned as he was confused by my actions.
