After a few hours of sleep I finally feel good. I was okay. But everything was heightened. I could hear better. I could see better. But one thing was new — my rage and hatred towards Rebekah Mikaelson. Bonnie said there might be something she can do so that I won't turn into a vampire, but deep down I know there is no such thing as a sure for vampirism. I was in the bathroom, I could hear Stefan and Damon talking.
"Way to get her hopes up for something that's never happened in the history of vampirism," Damon states. "You know what? You weren't there when she told she wanted to be a vampire just to be with me. But she has kids now, Damon. Our children. They'll grow old, and she will stay the same," Stefan tells his brother. I am not sure they'll grow old but I understand him. "Then you shouldn't have let her die!" Damon exclaims. "I never meant for her to die. She asked me to help Matt first, so I did," the youngest Salvatore defends himself. "And now the world has one more quarterback. Bravo, brother," I roll my eyes at Damon's words.
Jeremy walks into my room. "Jer!" I yell happily. "Are you okay? I watched Vicki go throw this, she was a mess, but somehow you seem fine," my little brother says and I nod. "I'm okay. I mean, I'm getting used to this side of me, but I've been able to control it because of my werewolf side. I've trained myself to have restraint," I reply and he nods with a smile. "I'm glad you're okay," he says before walking.
Elena and Jenna are sending me pictures of the kids. I was happy. I didn't die. I'm going to see my kids grow up and get married and have kids. And I will take care of my children's children. I make my way downstairs. Once in the kitchen Stefan hands me a sandwich. I make a face, trying to decide whether or not I want to say what I want to say. "I never thought I would say this, but I can't stop thinking about blood," I mutter. "I should have saved you first. You shouldn't be going through this right now," Stefan says apolitically. "No, if you had saved me, then Matt would be dead. What do you think I'd be going through then?" I ask. Stefan pours himself a drink. I walk over to him. I make him face me. "Stefan, listen to me. You did the right thing. You did what you always do; you respected my choice," I say. "And what am I supposed to do if Bonnie can't figure out a way to help you, huh? Because then you have another choice to make. Either let yourself die or be a vampire," he state and he was right; I had to choose soon. And I already made my choice, but I had to let Bonnie try for Stefan's sake.
"If she can't, then I'll be a vampire. We have kids, Stefan. I want to see them grow up. Have a lifetime of choices. I want to be there when they decide what college to go to, when they travel the world, when they settle down. I want to be there every step of the way," I say. Stefan smiles knowing that she was right their kids should grow up with their mother. Unbeknown to them, their children were going to be tribrids just like their mother; the Salvatore-Gilbert family was going to more powerful than the Mikaelson family could ever be.
My day was going fine until it wasn't. Stefan and I were taken by the council, who is currently being led by Pastor Young. So this is it, I'm going to die. And I was, slowly dying, "Belle? You still with me?" Stefan asks from the other side of the wall. We were beside each other, being separated my a wall. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm here. I'm okay," I say weakly. "No, you're not. I can hear you breathing. Damon was right; you should have fed this morning. I'm so sorry," he apologizes. I shake my head. "Don't be. You had hope. That's all I ever wanted you to have, and you had it," I reply. "I love you so much," he whispers and I smile. "Do you know why I was even on that bridge? I was coming back for you, Stefan. I had to choose, and I picked you," I say in a whisper too. Stefan starts to silently cry. "Because I love you. No matter what happens, it's the best choice I ever made," I say. I place my hand against the wall. "God. It sucks that I can't see you right now," I add. "I'm smiling," he says from the other side. "I am too," I say with a weak smile.
Third Pov.
Rebekah felt sadness. She felt terrible because of her hatred towards Belle, or rather the vampire hunter he mother created, Stefan might lose her the woman he loves. She felt awful because Belle was once her friend. She was her only friend and she killed her. So she decides to help her feed.
"Excuse me? Hello, sir?" she pretends to cough. "I thought I told you to shut up," said the officer. "Here's the thing, my family we- we have money, castles, apartments, jewelry, just name your price and let me out," the blonde vampire says to the man. The officer walks closer to her. "I'd much rather watch you die," he mutters with a smile. Rebekah takes that as an opportunity to rushed towards him. He gets scared and falls back to Stefan's cage. Stefan grabs him and slams his head against the bars until he starts to bleed. He drops the officer close to Belle's cage. "Belle! Belle!" Stefan yells. Belle sees the blood and reaches her hand out for the blood. She was able to get some blood. She starts regaining color in her face.
Damon walks over to Matt, who is slowly crawling and coughing and kicks him hard. "Go head and kill me. You can't possibly hate me more than I hate myself," says Matt. "Oh, yes, I can," says Damon before placing his foot on Matt's throat. "It should have been you," Out of nowhere, Belle rushes towards Damon and pushes him off Matt. She shows him her vampire face. "Leave him alone!" Belle orders.
Matt stumbles into the barn and falls to the floor. Stefan runs over and feeds him his blood, but Matt pushes his hand away. "Just stop! Stop saving me," says Matt. "What the hell is your problem?" Stefan asks. "What do you want, me to say? Thank you? Cause honestly, I wish you'd have just let me drown," Matt replies. "What, you think you were my first choice?" Stefan asks. "Belle's a vampire... because of me. I have to live with that every day for the rest of my life," Stefan grabs Matts face forcing him to look him in the eyes. "No, no, no, you don't have to live with that; you get to live with that. Because Belle put your life before her own. So every morning you get out of bed, you sure as hell better earn it," Stefan says before leaving.
Belle and Damon are walking towards Damon's car.
"You were gonna kill him," Belle states. "Yep. Guy just won't die," Damon nonchalantly replies. "It was my choice to save him. Why don't you see that?" she asks. "It's a little hard to keep track of all your choices lately, Belle," Damon replies before he starts to walk away. "I remember everything," she begins, and Damon stops. "One of the highlights of transition: remembering everything you compelled me to forget. Us meeting in New York. You were a stranger that told me to get everything I wanted from life. Damon, why didn't you tell me?" she asked softly. "Would it have made a difference?" he asked. "Maybe. But now, we will never know because you decided not to tell me," Belle replies.
"You asked me to make a choice, Damon. So I did. If you're going to be mad, then take it out on me. Not on Stefan or Matt or anyone else. Me," he rolls his eyes. "Are we done here?" he asked ready to be with the conversation. "If it had been you at the bridge last night and not Stefan and I begged you to save Matt...?" she asked. "I would have saved you! In a heartbeat, no question," Damon quickly replies. "That's what I thought. And then Matt would be dead because you couldn't let go. Matt would be dead!" she yelled. "But you wouldn't be! And you would have gotten to grow up and had the life that you wanted; the life that you deserved. And I know that I didn't use to get that but I do know and I wanted that for you, Belle, and I would have gladly have given it to you and let Matt die; because I am that selfish. But you knew that already," Damon says before walking away.
Belle was walking to her old home; thankfully her werewolf and witch allowed her to walk right in. After she showered, she was sitting on her couch. Everything she had been through on the past year came rushing in. She had already lost so much. She had Jenna, Elena, Jeremy, her kids, Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Tyler, Bonnie, and Matt. Yet she felt alone. She wasn't a hybrid anymore. She wasn't just a witch and werewolf. Now she was a tribrid. She was a vampire, a witch, and a werewolf.
She was mad at Rebekah, but she also understood. Rebekah had been running away from Mikael for a thousand years, after Klaus killed him they were finally free, and then suddenly there was another vampire hunter. She wanted to be a peace, so she understood and forgave her yet a part of her wanted revenge. After a few minutes of thinking, there was a knock on the door. Klaus stood there.
"Klaus," she whispered. "Hello, love," he greets. "May I come in?" he asked. "Sure, come in. What do you need, Klaus?" he looked around the room. "I just wanted to come see you," he said. "Why? No offense, but your sister killed me," she states. "I know, and I'm sorry. That wasn't supposed to happen," she scoffs.
"Then what was supposed to happen, Klaus? Because all this happened because of you. I was supposed to grow old, see my children grow up. When I saved you from Alaric, you brought me to your house not to help me but to take my blood, remember what you told me when I asked you if you were gonna bleed me dry? I believe your words were, "Don't worry, it'll be completely painless. As the last drop is drawn, you'll simply fall asleep" you remember that Klaus? You were willing to kill me then. You knew I had kids yet; you were going to kill me. Everyone was right; you are a monster, and so is your sister; she was willing to kill an innocent person because she didn't want to run. She took away my choice, just like your mother did to you," she says feeling the anger rushed through her. Klaus rushed to her, trying to attack her, but she stopped him with her magic.
She held him against the wall with her magic. "Impossible," the original hybrid muttered. He was shocked to see Belle had kept her witch side. "But a funny thing happened the night I went off the bridge. When I died, I had vampire blood in my system. And when I came to, I knew what I had turned into — a vampire. I thought my witch and the werewolf side were gone since you can't be a servant of nature and an abomination. But to my surprise, they were there. So that makes me a tribrid. That means I am more powerful than you," she taunts.
She dropped Klaus to the floor and kneeled right beside him. "How does it feel to know you are no longer the strongest creature on earth? Or that I could kill you whenever I feel like it?" she asked Klaus. Klaus was surprised to see sweet Belle talking with such hatred. He knew it was his fault after everything he did to her, her family, and friends. Belle sent Klaus flying outside. "I don't want to see your face ever again. And tell Rebekah that I forgive her, but that does not mean I'll forget. Or that I don't want revenge," Belle said as she closed her door and walked away.
Klaus vamped speed home, where Rebekah, Elijah, Finn, and Kol were.
"What's the meaning of this brother?" asked Elijah as he saw Klaus' look of concern. "Belle is a vampire now," he replies. Elijah, Kol, and Finn were surprised to hear that. They liked the girl. She was everything Alara never was. "What?" asked Elijah. "How did it happen? and why?" Finn asked. "When Alaric was turned into an original vampire. Our mother dearest linked Belle's life to Alaric's so he wouldn't live long. When Alaric "killed me," Rebekah decided she didn't want to run anymore, so she waited until Belle and her friend were driving through the bridge. Matt Donovan swerved, and well, they both ended up at the bottom of the bridge. When she died, she had vampire blood in her system. So, when she came to, she knew what she was. But she's not only a vampire," Klaus paused. He didn't know how his siblings were going to react to Belle being the most powerful supernatural being to ever roam the earth.
"What else Niklaus?" Elijah asked. "She's the world's first tribrid. Vampire, witch, werewolf," Klaus finally replied. "Impossible," muttered Kol. "It can't be," Finn muttered in agreement. "And she's hellbent on getting revenge on our little sister," Klaus added. "Well, well, little sister, you made another enemy," Kol teased his sister. "That's not all. She's unkillable. We can be killed with the white oak. Her, on the other hand, there is nothing. And she's coming for you, Rebekah. She says she forgives but never forgets. She's right. I ruined her life, Rebekah killed her, and Elijah lied to her," Elijah looked away. He wanted better for his Elizabeth. "She had kids Rebekah, did you ever stop to think about that?" asked Finn. Finn felt something for the girl, but of course, he loved Sage. "I didn't think about that. I was hurt that Klaus was dead," Rebekah defended herself. "I gave her my word that we would run. And I broke that promise too," Elijah whispered.
Back in her home. Belle was in the bathtub. She sat around thinking about all the pain this town had caused her in the year she had been back. Belle lost her parents, and she lost Vicki, John, Alaric, and almost Jenna. Jenna, Elena, and the kids were in New Orleans, where she was planning to leave along with Jeremy. She wanted to be at peace with herself and her family. She wanted to protect them. Jenna and Elena wanted to move to Paris. Jeremy wanted to go to art school in Los Angeles.
She felt terrible because she was leaving everything behind. But she felt like it was for the best. Everything that happened in town was because of her. So, she was leaving and wasn't planning on coming back. She texted everyone to meet her at her house. She then sunk herself in the tub and stayed there for a very long time.
She felt someone pull her out. It was Stefan. "Belle! What the hell?! Are you out of your mind?!" he yelled. "Relax Stefan, I'm fine," Belle replied. "Why did you call everyone?" he asked. "I want to share some news with everyone," she walked out of the shower. She walked into her room and changed. She looked around her house one last time. She had already packed her things and more things for Elena and Jenna.
"Why are we here, Belle?" Caroline asked, Bonnie nodded, wanting to know as well. Bonnie, Jeremy, Matt, Tyler, Caroline, Damon and Stefan were sitting on the couch waiting for the news. "I'm leaving town," Belle finally said. Everyone was surprised by her news. "You're what?!" Damon yelled making the other's flinch. "I'm leaving Damon. Everything that has happened in this town is because of me. Caroline was turned into a vampire because Katherine wanted to sacrifice her along with Tyler and Bonnie. You guys were going to die. All because Klaus wanted to break a curse placed on him a thousand years ago," Belle replied. Unbeknown to them, the original family was lurking outside listening to everything.
"Klaus ruined my life; he almost killed Jenna; his mother turned Alaric into an Original. He died along with me because Rebekah didn't want to run. Thankfully, I had vampire blood in my system or else my kids would have no mother. The originals don't care who they hurt as long as they get what they want. But not this time. I'm leaving, and if you guys are smart, you'll do the same. Katherine was right. All the originals ever bring is death. So, I'm doing what I promised my kids and parents, I'll protect my family. Jeremy is leaving, Jenna, Elena, Matt, the kids and I are moving somewhere else. If anyone wants to come, you guys are more welcome. Bon, Care, Ty. I'm sorry that this happened because of me. I should've never come back. You guys could've lived normal lives," Belle said in tears.
"Belle, this is not your fault. You fought for us as hard as you could. You never gave up. And we will always fight for you wherever you are," Bonnie said as she held her hand. "She's right. We've been best friends since we were kids, and it's not going to change now. We love you," Caroline added making Belle smile. Tyler looked at her and smiled. "Belle, you turned into a wolf with me the first time. You walked me to the process, and with the whole thing with Jules, you told me that it was okay for me to find out more about my kind even after what they did to you. You were always a great friend putting everyone else before you. But I think it's time for you to put yourself and your family first," said Tyler. She ran to them and hugged them. The four of them cried.
"There's something else you should know. When I turned into a vampire, I kept my witch and werewolf side. So am a tribrid," she confesses. Everyone's mouths were hanging open. "So if you guys ever need anything, call me?" she asked and they nodded. "Take care, guys, and remember that I love you so much, Okay?" After many I love you's they finally said goodbye.
Matt, Tyler and Jeremy were putting the rest of her things in the car. "Well, if you guys want to come, you guys are welcome to," Belle offers once again. Both brothers smiled. "Thanks for the offer, but we're staying to take care of the town," Damon replied with a sad smile. She smiled at them both. "Don't worry; the kids will visit very often. So don't worry. I love you both Okay? Never forget that. I will be here always, so if you need me, I will be a call away," they nod, hugging and kissing both boys on the cheek. "We love you too. And take care of our babies, okay?" Stefan says and she nods. "Of course," she says before getting in her car.
Both brothers watched as the car drove away. "Well, there goes the girl we both love. Walking into the sunshine," Damon mocks, but deep down she was said.
"She deserves better than this. The originals ruined her life. I ruined her in some way. She was happy. She had come to be with her family, but all she got was a tragedy. She lost John, Isobel, Alaric, Vicky. She almost lost you and me. She gave birth to four kids, but she stood strong for everyone. She gave the originals a chance before believing everyone, and what did they give her in return? Pain, betrayal. Rebekah drove her off the wickery bridge. She knew she had kids, yet she did it anyway. The originals don't care about people, or who they hurt as long as they get what they want," Stefan says angrily.
Stefan and Damon lost the girl they love. And they were left heartbroken once again. The originals finally decided to come out from where they were hiding. "Stefan, Damon. Good to see you, gentleman," Klaus greeted as he walked over to them. "Well, I can't say the same about you," Damon replied. "Are you happy, Rebekah? Are you happy you killed an innocent person? You almost left four kids without a mother?" Stefan asked.
"You know Elijah, you promised Belle she wouldn't be hurt, and yet she ended up dead. Yes, I get that Alaric killed Klaus, but that wasn't our fault. You and Rebekah talk about Klaus being the villain, but at least he's honest about what kind of person he is. You, on the other hand, are a liar who talks about being moral, yet you would kill anyone who gets in your way. Rebekah always wanted children and happiness. Belle had that, and she took that away from her because she was selfish," Stefan said, hatred laced in his voice. Rebekah nearly attacked him but stopped, she would prove him right. "Funny. Belle was starting to like the original family, and now she hates you as much as we do," Damon mocks. Klaus and Elijah were hurt to hear that. They had both taking a liking to her, and now their chance was gone. They vamped speed to their home.
New Orleans
After hours of driving, Belle, Matt, and Jeremy made it to New Orleans. The two boys went to pick up Jenna, Elena, and the kids to go to their new home. Belle did a spell that conceals her werewolf and witch side. As she walked around the streets, she made it to a bar called Rousseau's. "Can I get a bourbon, please... Camille?" Belle asked. Camille was serving the bourbon. "I got to change my name tag. Please call me Cami. I'm getting tired of getting hit on in french," the girl said with a smile. Belle smiled. "You're new here?" Camille asked and Belle nodded. "Yes, just moved here," Belle replied. After a drink she paid and began to make her way out. "It was nice to meet you, Cami," she said with a smile. "You too," Camille replied before waving goodbye.
On her way out, she bumped into someone. "I'm sorry. I didn't see where I was going," Belle apologized. "Don't worry about it. I'm Marcel," the man introduced himself. "I'm Elizabeth," she replied. "You must be new in town, Elizabeth, or else I would have a rememberer a woman as beautiful as you," Marcel flirted. Belle smiled at him as they shook hands. She instantly knew he was a vampire."You're a vampire," Belle muttered. "Yes, Marcel. King of New Orleans" said Marcel. "Okay, cool," was all Belle said. The vampires were shocked to see someone as small as her say that to Marcel she was a "newbie vampire". But what they didn't know was that she was a newbie with extra juice.
"Look I just moved here I don't want any trouble, Just mind your business, and I'll mind mine," she was about to walk away. "Where's your ring?" he asked. "I don't need one," she nonchalantly replied. This time Thierry spoke. "Every vampire needs one unless you're an original," Thierry stated. "Well, I'm definitely not an original. I'm something worse," Belle said with a smirk. "Oh yeah. What?" Diego asked. "I'm a tribrid," Belle replied bitting him in the neck, her eyes glowing red.
Diego was holding his wound trying to stop the blood. The other vampires, along with Marcel, tried to attack her, but she used her magic to stop them. She levitated some of them and snapped their necks.
"Alright, stop!" Marcel yelled. Belle looked at him in the eyes. "I wish I could." her eyes were glowing yellow, showing her hybrid side.
"Don't make me an enemy Marcel because you won't like what will happen. And if you think about using your little witch against me, she'll end up dead," Belle threatened. She walked towards Diego and fed him her blood. His bite healed in seconds. Marcel was surprised to see that a vampire bite was cured. She began to walk away. "Wait," Marcel said and she came to a halt. "Maybe we can be allies," he offered. "Of course. But let's get one thing straight, I will not be used against your enemies," Belle stated and he nodded with a smirk. "I never said that. After all, every King needs a Queen," Marcel said and Belle smirked.
Belle was no longer the shy girl from Mystic Falls. She was a fighter, powerful, and now she was a Queen. A Queen fit for a king. Marcel's vampires liked the girl. She showed them how dangerous she could be but didn't kill anyone. The Belle her friends, once knew, was gone. And Elizabeth Gilbert was reborn. And she was more dangerous than ever before.
This is the end of this book. I started the second one years ago but I am not sure if I'm ever gonna publish it. I hope you guys like this book! It was one of my first ever published books. Now, I might start editing the enchantress. Let me know what you guys think. I also have a shadow hunter book that I finished but unpublished. Let me know which one you want me to work on next!
