Sayonara ❨ Korean: 사요나라; Japanese: さよなら; often stylized as Sayonara ❩ is a South Korean R&B duo that consists of Moka and Kinabi. They rose to fame with their 2021 debut mixtape, Visit, which became the best-selling Korean R&B mixtape ever. They are signed to Synari Music Entertainment, a music entertainment founded in 2003.

The name "Sayonara" chosen by the musical duo conveyed a sense of farewell or goodbye in Japanese. This term holds emotional nuances of nostalgia, temporary or permanent separation, and even an aura of mystery and uncertainty. The duo selected this name to evoke these varied emotions and themes within their music, influencing how their audience perceives their artistic message.

The friendship between Moka and Kinabi is an integral part of their musical journey. Their debut in South Korea not only kickstarted their successful partnership but also showcased the strong bond between them, resonating with fans worldwide and emphasizing the vital role of friendship in their musical endeavors. This connection between them serves as a cornerstone of their collaborative artistry, uniting their talents and experiences to create a unique and impactful musical presence that continues to enchant and inspire their audience.

Moka and Kinabi were friends since high school and started off as independent artists together in 2017.

the same year, Sayonara released their debut mixtape, Visit. It became the best selling R&B mixtape in South Korea & Japan, with sales of 70,000 copies in the first two months after its release. Their first album, Seeker, featured with BIBI, won best R&B album at the 2018 Korean Music Awards.

After getting signed into Synari Music Entertainment in 2019, Sayonara released their second album, Second Chance, on February 14th, 2020, that year, they also won Best Music Video at the Mnet Asian Music Awards for their song "Sayonara." On May 2020 they later released two more singles, Back To Back and Immaculate, before both Moka and Kinabi had to go on a hiatus for personal reasons.

In 2023, Myung Jeong-Hun, the founder of Synari Music Entertainment announced the release of the duos new comeback album "Absolutely" which featured artists such as the whole of Stray Kids, Ningning of aespa, Haechan of NCT, and KAI of EXO.
