Minho threw open the door and glared down at me, annoyed.

"What do you want?"

I raised an eyebrow as I looked past him and into his apartment. "...Are you okay?"

Stuff was scattered all over the floor, and a few items were knocked over, which I assumed was the cause of the loud crashes I heard. Minho himself looked especially exhausted; his hair was wild, his dark eyes tired and his T-shirt and sweat pants were wrinkled.

"I'm fine," He answered shortly, leaning on the doorframe.

"Are you still sick?"

"Yes."

Was he going to keep answering in two syllables or less?

"Did you feed Soonie, Doongie and Dori already?"

His brows furrowed with offense, and he raised his voice slightly. "Of course I did, what do you think I am??"

I pushed past him and invited myself into his apartment, glancing around.

Minho's apartment was as stoic as he was, the blood red couch in the center of the living room and his crimson trinkets lining the shelves were the only pop of color in his otherwise extremely minimalistic living space. The decor somehow fit him, though. He was a complex person with simple tastes and a unique personality, with a splash of utter randomness like the spots of red hues scattered amidst the monotone blacks, greys and pure whites of the room.

"Did you eat yet?" I asked, finishing my observation of the current state of his living room.

"Yep."

"When?"

He closed the door behind me and plopped down on the large couch in the middle of the room, leaning back to rest his head on the arm of the chair and covering his face with his hands. "None of your business."

I sighed and pulled out my phone to order takeout. "I've known you long enough to know that means 'yesterday.'"

Minho works at the radio station as well, he's been there since before I and Hyunjin even started. He usually co-hosts with Chan on the night shift, so I don't see him often, but we still became close enough for me to barge into his apartment and make sure that he's taking care of himself and his cats.

Although I didn't really have to worry about his cats— Minho adores the three of them more than any human he's met, and probably ever will meet.

Dori meowed haughtily from the other room, as if proudly confirming my thoughts.

"I'm ordering something, what do you want?"

"Mm, Kimbap."

"You have to pay me back for this," I warned him as I ordered.

"Don't order it, then," He muttered, but I ignored him.

When I had finished ordering, I sat on the other arm of the couch, as his body was stretched across the entire length of the couch and there was no where else to sit.

"Are you okay?" I asked again, eyeing him with worry.

He groaned, sitting up and swooping up Soonie, who had travelled from the kitchen to sit near the couch and beg for his owner's attention. Gently stroking the cat's back, he answered wearily, "I'll be fine by tomorrow. I have to be; we have a lot going on with the idol star coming."

"There's an idol star coming?" I asked curiously with excitment in my voice.

Minho nodded. "Chan didn't tell you?" He sighed, caressing Soonie's ears. "He must have forgotten, he has a lot on his shoulders. I need to get back to helping him."

"Don't push yourself," I watched as Minho adoringly held Soonie up under his front legs and stood him up on his lap like a baby. "Hyunjin and Felix stayed to help Chan today, since you couldn't make it to the station."

Minho suddenly stopped mid baby talk to Soonie and glanced at me over the cat's orange and white head.

He raised an eyebrow, a smirk slowly spreading across his face. "You left those two at the station together?" He ran a hand through his hair, letting a chuckle escape his lips.

Watching him with confusion, I questioned, "Yes, why? Should I not have?"

"Like hell you shouldn't have," He scoffed, resuming the adoration of the cat in his lap with pursed lips and light kisses.

I felt the need to ask a follow up question as quickly as possible, before Minho became too absorbed in his own world with Soonie and completely ignored my existence.

My voice dropped to a whisper, as if we were discussing some taboo secret, and I blurted out, "Why? What's going on with them?"

Lifting his eyes to meet mine with a sincere look and a straight face, he replied with a monotone voice.

"They're dating."

My eyes widened as I stared in shock at Minho, who went back to playing with Soonie like he hadn't just told me the biggest revelation in the history of our friendship.

"They're dating?!" I repeated, completely shaken.

That was why they were being so awkward around each other? That's why Hyunjin was so surprised when Felix started working at the station??

"No."

I didn't even hear Minho's remark as he rolled his eyes; I was completely enveloped in my thoughts. But when I finally processed what he said, I had to do a double take.

"Wait, what?" I stared at Minho in shock once again, my mouth wide open in bewilderment.

A devilish grin began to take over his lips.

I should have learned by now to never trust the first thing Minho told me.

"So it was all a joke?!" My confusion slowly turned to anger, and I grabbed a pillow from the couch and tossed it in Minho's face. My aim was slightly off though, and the square pillow went spiraling over Minho's head and past the couch as he chuckled mischievously.

"You were so sad," He teased with a badgering tone. "Were you hoping to date one of them?"

"Shut up," I commanded, feeling embarrassed that I once again fell for one of his pranks. My voice softened as I asked gingerly, "...But Felix is single, though?"

Minho smirked again, and I immediately regretted my question. His annoying teasing started up, his voice taking on an exasperating sing-song tone.

"Oooh, so it's Feli—"

This time, I succeeded in landing a pillow in Minho's face, cutting him off mid-taunt with a full-forced attack. His reflexes failed him, and his attempt to swat it away in time was futile.

A string of muffled curses left his mouth as the firm pillow collided with his face, causing Soonie to gracefully jump off his lap and wander off to avoid our disturbances.

I wanted to ask Minho what was really going on between them, but a set of knocks boomed through Minho's apartment, and I jumped up from the couch. "That must be the food," I told Minho.

It probably wasn't that important— I would ask Minho about it later.

"Enjoy, I have to pick up Hyunjin from the dance studio, so I'll leave now."

Minho nodded, following me to the door to collect the takeout. I slipped out the door and was halfway down the hallway when Minho called out to me, takeout bags in hand.

"Hana!"

I stopped in my tracks and whisked around to look at him. "What?"

He smiled, holding up the takeout bags and calling down the hallway. "I'll eat well!"

I nodded, turning to continue down the hallway and back to the elevator. Shaking my head, I smiled to myself. He didn't even say "Thank you."

I suddenly stopped again, whipping around to face the direction of his apartment. "Wait, that was 15,000 won, when are you paying me—"

He slammed his door closed, ignoring my calls and retreating into his apartment with his food.

I shook my head again, sighing as I entered the elevator and pressed the button for the lobby.

Minho was being Minho; I couldn't be surprised.

Exiting the elevator, I trekked back across the lobby and out to Hyuniin's car, hopping in the driver's seat. Heading towards the dance studio as the sun began to sink down, leaving beautiful brush strokes of pinks and golds across the sky, I thought of Hyunjin and realized that I had never seen him dance.

But upon arriving at the dance studio and stepping inside, what I witnessed left me absolutely speechless.
