     Chris hadn't asked her out when she came back five days later. She had texted him the second she got comfortable in her own bed on Saturday night, but he had been at a party and hadn't seen her text until the next afternoon. However as he was formulating a reply to her, he groaned in frustration with the recollection of the fact that this week was packed meetings and extra filming for their videos.

However it seemed as if the universe wasn't on his side because when he proposed the idea of hanging out next week, on the days saw he had nothing going on, she was busy. He decided to give up on asking her out, coming to the conclusion that their schedules would never align, until he saw her recent Instagram post. His eye twitched unconsciously and his jaw clenched. Now he definitely had to make a move.

     Chris was now standing outside Alicia's door. His hand, clenched in a fist, hovering over her front door. He was hesitant. He knew he wanted to make his move as soon as possible, but he was scared. He had never liked a girl this much before. He had a few crushes and one or two talking stages in high school, but nothing this serious— could he even classify it as serious if he hadn't even asked her out? The way he felt so attracted to her was serious. So yeah, it was serious to him. He could only hope she felt similar.

He took a deep breath, shaking his whole body in an attempt to get rid of his nerves. His hand tapped against her door three times. He'd never been inside her home before— it was probably exactly like his, maybe with one less bedroom— and that made him even more nervous for no particular reason.

What if we never get anywhere with our relationship and I'd have to live next to her for the rest of my life? Or what if I run home right now and someone else asks her out, leaving me to wallow in my misery next door?

As the door creaked open, revealing Alicia, he shook those thoughts from his head. He opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He was so entranced by the girl, he couldn't get any words out. She wasn't in anything special, just a tank top and pajama shorts, but she was still as breathtaking as ever.

She tilted her head to the side, before opening the door wider and beckoning him inside. He squeezed his eyes shut, knowing he just made himself look like a fool. He walked inside, keeping his back to her long enough for the pink to fade from his cheeks.

Alicia let out a huff of laughter before strolling past him and turning the corner with him following behind her like a lost puppy. She opened her fridge and brought out a can of Pepsi, handing it to him. He smiled widely at her and mumbled a thank you. She then pulled out a bottle of strawberry lemonade for herself.

As she unscrewed the lid to her drink, she asked, "Where are Nick and Matt?"

He bit his lip, racking his mind for a reason better than, 'I just wanted to spend time with you alone.'

"They didn't want to get up," he settled on with a small shrug. She nodded her head, before taking a sip of her drink.

Alicia pursed her lips, rocking back and forth on her heels. Something clearly bothering her. As he was about to ask, she blurted out, "I'm sorry."

Chris' eyebrows furrowed, confusion dancing in his eyes as he watched her play with the cap of bottle— screwing and unscrewing it out of nerves. He took a step closer to her, leaning up against the part of the kitchen island that was directly next to her. He let the hand that wasn't holding his drink, hang at his side. Since their newfound proximity, he could feel her fingers graze the back of his hand. He smiled softly at it.

"For what?"

She sighed, running a hand through her hair, "I know you've been wanting to hang out and I'm never free."

The boy let out a tiny chuckle, finding her adorable. "That's not your fault. I've been busy too," he shrugged carelessly, before licking his lips. "It does suck though. That in the three months we've been friends, we've hung out three times."

She buried her face in her hands, muffled giggling coming from her. "Why the fuck do we only hangout once a month?" Chris let out a loud laugh at the realization. "I guess this is our one hangout for this month."

The perfect opportunity had just presented itself to the brunette boy, but was he willing to take it?

It's now or never, he thought.

"It doesn't have to be," he whispered, moving his gaze to meet hers. He watched as her nose scrunched up in confusion and she tilted her hand to the side again. Another grin would've broken out on his face if he wasn't so nervous and struggling to maintain his composure.

"Of course not," Alicia replied puzzled, reaching up to play with the cross necklace hanging loosely around her neck. "I was just joking."

He closed his eyes and inhaled sharply. Just do it.

"No, no. I mean— we could—" Spit it out. "Do you want to go on a date this Saturday?"

He turned away immediately after rushing out those words, bringing his can of Pepsi up to his lips and taking a big gulp. He didn't want to see the look on her face— afraid of what her reaction could be.

Her jaw had dropped, she hadn't expected that. She did have feelings for him, but never wanted to act on them in fear of rejection or ruining their friendship. Now he basically just admitted to reciprocating those feelings and she was all giddy inside. She had to refrain from screaming and pulling her phone to text Nai and Larri— she was definitely going to debrief them later though.

"Yeah. I do," she murmured, causing him to snap his head over to her, but she was staring down at their hands. Somehow he had failed to notice that she was tracing shapes on the back of his hand and running her finger over his own. The biggest grin of his life appeared on his face.

"Yes! Yes!" he exclaimed, interlocking their hands fully, before jumping up and down. She fell into a fit of laughter at his excitement. "This is the greatest day of my life."

She shook her head at him, scoffing, "Let's calm down now."

Alicia kept their hands interlocked as he stopped jumping and jokingly glared at her. "Way to kill the mood, Allie," he grumbled, but the smile on his face gave him away. She just beamed up at him in response.

She then began to drag him into the living room, seating both of them on her soft, off-white colored couch. She reached over and grabbed a fluffy blanket, before spreading it over them. "Let's watch a movie. I don't feel like doing much."

"Good. I have to save everything for the real date," he remarked, throwing an arm over her shoulder which caused her to adjust herself comfortably against his side. His hand immediately started to play with the strands of her hair, twirling them around his finger.

"I can't wait," she spoke softly, her doe eyes finding his own. They both blushed bright pink and looked back towards the TV. He wanted to melt. She had an unexplainable effect on him. "Now what movie?"
