Suit guy🤵🏻
Can we talk shit about blondie then?
MarveLarson

Doppleicious
You're right about that
Scar-Widow
Sorry Seb, Nina, Ian and Chris too.
Lisbet Olsen
Man, they literally dragged our entire group all at once, huh?
O, Marcello
At least we knew about the other two. Blondie is out here dragging Addy's name again.
Suit guy🤵🏻
Hey, I came up with that nickname! But fine, I'll let you use it.
Hey guys, what's up? Sorry, I just woke up.

Um no... we haven't talked since I got here.
SeaBass The Crab 🦀
You got here 3 days ago, Addy.
Yeah, I know. He's just busy with the work I left to get here early. We've texted twice but no calls or real communication yet.
Barnes (not Bucky)
No offence but that all feels like a MAJOR red flag to me
Lisbet Olsen
THANK YOU FOR SAYING IT
Girl, I've said it before, I'll say it again. LEAVE HIM.
Little Harvest bb🔮
Honestly, all this time, I tried to look supportive but this feels like too much to overlook, Addy.
Original Barbie
Specially after the incident-we-shall-not-mention, I don't think you should be going along with this again, Ads.
They could be just friends.
Blondie Vamp.
He still should've told you beforehand knowing media can get extra at times. And wasn't he the one talking about you being busy all the time? Now he's not calling or answering? Hypocrite much.
Okay okay, calm down.
Oh great, Rachie's here.
Drunkard Salvatore🥃
Look, I don't think you should even be going through with this any longer.
The Godfather
Hey, it's her relationship, let her deal with it. But honestly honey, I think you're better off without him too. You deserve better than two texts in 3 days.
SeaBass The Crab 🦀

SeaBass The Crab 🦀
You're crazy.
Tell me something I don't know.

Joseph was the first one to get to Adelaide's place, being the one who lived the closest. When he parked outside her front door, with Thai food in one hand and slushies in the other, he found the door to be wide open, causing him to frown in confusion.
"Del, you there?" he calls out as he walks into the room. Upon reaching the living room, he finds Adelaide lying on the couch with puffy, red eyes and a blanket covering her as she blankly stared at the weather report being forecasted on the TV.
He quickly moves to place the food on the kitchen counter and the slushies in the fridge before moving to sit beside her on the couch as she nonchalantly places her feet on his lap, without even realizing it.
"Del, hey," he shakes her to catch her attention, "where's Rach?"
"Oh, Rach went out to get me some supplies I needed from the store," she mumbles.
"You could've told me if you needed something," he tells her.
"Yeah no, I know. But you don't know what types of pads I use during that time of the month, so I don't think you'd be much help," she points out.
"Oh. Is that why you were crying?"
"Yes and no, somehow bad news just synced up with this to make this worse. My luck and all," Adelaide grumbles, sitting up beside him now, "did you bring the food?"
"I did, I can warm it up if you want," he offers.
"Hm no, I'm not hungry anymore. I'll have it later," she replies blankly.
"Del, what's going on? Look, talk to me, please," he asks in a concerned tone, noticing how she was being very nonchalant and emotionless the entire time.
"I'm fine."
"What happened with him?" he pushes on in concern.
"Oh, he said...um, he met her when he was in London last November, at her bakery," she tells him.
"When you were visiting Will?" he asks and she nods in confirmation.
"And then he and his friends visited the bakery, they met her since she's the owner and they began visiting everyday and they became good friends, exchanged numbers, kept somewhat contact all this time," she continues, "she's here for a friend's wedding. He offered to show her a boutique to get a dress from, since she doesn't know anyplace here. That's when the paps found them."
"Then why didn't he tell you about her if they're just friends?" Joseph inquires.
"I asked him that too. He said he didn't want me to feel insecure."
"You'd never feel insecure if he was honest with you," Joseph mumbles as Adelaide nods again.
"Told him that too. He said he meant well but now, I can't help but feel insecure about him hiding this. He stayed back because he knew she was coming to NY and didn't even tell me then," she tells him.
"So...what now?" Joseph then inquires as he hears Adelaide sniffling next to him, "oh no, you know what? Forget it. We don't need to talk about that."
Tears stream down Adelaide's face as Joseph wraps her into a hug, with her burying her face in his chest and crying out loud.
"It's okay, Del. Shh, you'll be alright," he whispers along with other sweet nothings as she cries into his arms, his heart breaking at her current state.
"Why does this always happen to me?" Adelaide mumbles while till hugging him, "I just always pick the wrong guys. Even when you all warned me so many times."
"Maybe listen to us next time then," they hear Sebastian's voice echo into the room, causing Adelaide to look up at the source of the voice.
As soon as her eyes land on Sebastian, she rushes to hug her best friend as Sebastian looks at Joseph worriedly, only receiving a small smile in return.
Soon enough, all her other friends file into the house, one after the other. Nina, Candice, Phoebe, Claire, Rachel, Lizzie, Sebastian, Chris, Anthony, Ian, Paul, Daniel, Ben and Charles were all there for her, no questions asked after Joseph warned them to not bring up the topic now.
"Addy, Will's blowing up my phone with texts and voicemails, you should talk to him," Rachel says as Phoebe, Nina and Paul set up the dining table with lunch and Adelaide had a tub of ice cream in her hands.
"Yeah, he's worried about his sister," Sebastian chimes in, "been texting me too."
"Just tell him I'll call back later, I don't feel like talking right now," Adelaide mumbles as they all settle down around the living room after getting their food from the table they'd spread out, "hhmhm, this is so good! That food is always superior. Thank you for this, Jo," Adelaide rambles as they dig into their meal.
"Anything for you, Del," Joseph replies, causing Daniel to begin coughing vigorously as the others glare at him.
Adelaide hands him a glass of water before patting his back as he calms down a little, "sorry, it was the spice," Daniel lies through his fits and the others hum, knowing. All except the one that should know- Adelaide.
"So we're really not going to talk about it?" Ian quizzes after a moment of silence.
"Right? Cause I'm dying to know," Charles agrees as Joseph, Nina, Sebastian and Candice glare at them.
"There's nothing to tell. He just explained the situation," Adelaide tells them.
"Yeah, we know. But what did you say?" Daniel nudges her to elaborate.
"Oh, I um...I said I think we should take a break," she informs them in a low voice, "I mean, I need some time to rethink all this. He said he understands. So that's that."
"You need a break? Not like, breaking up with him?" Lizzie inquires then, as Adelaide shakes her head 'no'.
"I don't want to jump to conclusions or rush decisions. Just some downtime to think of all this clearly," she elaborates.
"We understand," Joseph reassures her as Ian scoffs.
"No, we don't," he says as the others glare at him, "...but we'll be supportive of your decisions," he quickly adds as the others nod.
"Alright thanks, now can we watch a movie?" Adelaide suggests.
"Which one?"
"The Narnia Trilogy?" she suggests with a grin as Ben groans in frustration.
"What? Why that?"
"Because I'm sad and you can't say no to me," she challenges as Ben sighs in defeat.
"Great, I'll play it," Rachel offers as the others settle around the couch and on the floor.
Nina, Candice, Claire, Anthony and Daniel sit on the couch while Phoebe and Paul share the loveseat and the others sit on the floor, with Adelaide cuddled up in between Sebastian and Joseph, Daniel beside Jo, followed by Ben, Ian, Rachel, Lizzie and Chris.
The friends sat through the entire trilogy, relentlessly teasing Ben, before the movies can to an end and it was time for them to depart.
"You sure you don't need us to stay?" Sebastian asks Adelaide for what seemed like the 100th time.
"Seriously guys, I'm fine," she rolls her eyes at their concerned faces, "and like I said, I need time to think. So, it's better if I stay alone right now."
"You mean alone with us, right?" Lizzie cuts in, "cause I'm not leaving you tonight."
"Yeah, we can gossip all night," Candice chimes in excitedly as the others chuckle.
Before Adelaide can protest, her doorbell rings, causing everyone to halt the conversation.
"Were you expecting anyone?" Nina asks as Adelaide shakes her head 'no'.
"What if it's him?" Candice suggests.
"No, he's still got two press screenings left. Can't be him," she clarifies as Ian moves to open the front door.
In a glimpse, Adelaide finds herself engulfed into a big bear hug as four arms wrap around her. She breaks away from the hug to see it was Alyssa and Torrance.
"What are you guys doing here?" Adelaide frowns.
"We just got back today," Alyssa answers, "and we thought we'd drop off the gift we got you before we head home."
"Yeah right," Adelaide scoffs, knowing why they were really here.
"Well, since you've got more company now, I guess we'll get going," Paul suggests as the others nod. Adelaide hugs them all goodbye, leaving behind only Torrance, Alyssa, Rachel, Phoebe and Lizzie.
"So, how've you been, Addy?" Torrance inquires as Adelaide rolls her eyes at him.
"You heard, I know," she states, "and Rachie can tell you what's going on now. I'm tired so I'll go change into my PJs by the time this story gets repeated for the millionth time.
༆☼︎☾︎ꨄ︎☽︎☼︎༆
After changing into a nightgown, Adelaide settles down on her bed with a sigh. This has been such a long and eventful day for her. She needed a minute to herself, to replay everything that had happened and to understand where she stood. But now wasn't the time, as she hears a knock of her door, already knowing who it was.
"Come in," she yells out as the door opens and Torrance peeks his head into the room.
"Hi," he greets sheepishly, walking into the room and sitting down next to her.
"Hey."
"Ready to be honest yet?" he nudges her playfully.
"I am being honest, "she retorts.
"About what? You being fine?"
"All of it. I am fine. Just confused, I guess," she replies.
"Elaborate."
"I mean, what people don't seem to understand is that I'm not insecure or scared, you know. He offered to introduce me to the girl. Swears that it's merely platonic and that I have nothing to be insecure about," she sighs, resting her head on his shoulder, "but what he doesn't understand is that I am not scared or insecure. I'm just confused and disappointed about why he felt like he couldn't tell me about it, knowing nothing ever stays hidden here and that hearing it from someone else would only make me feel worse."
"He didn't tell you because he is a dumbass," Torrance replies as Adelaide chuckles.
"Did he tell you?"
"No. I would've told you if I knew," he reassures as she hums in agreement.
"So what're you going to do now?" he asks after a moment of comfortable silence in the room.
"I told him I need some time to think things through," she informs him, "so we're taking a break."
"And why do I feel like you've already made your decision?"
"Maybe because I have," she replies, "I mean, I wasn't insecure but now I am. Even if we go back, I'll always think there's more things he could be hiding from me. And I can't live through that fear and insecurity again, so," she trails off.
"So now we hate him?" Torrance quizzes as Adelaide slaps his arm playfully.
"No, we don't. we work together and hate isn't going to make things better. I'll tell him it's not going to work when he gets back."
"And what if things get awkward for you two? We've got a busy month coming up," he reminds her as she hums again.
"I know, I'm hoping it's not awkward. I mean, I don't hate him and honestly, with him it never even felt like a relationship. It was always like two extremely great friends," she clarifies.
"Two extremely great friends that slept together," Torrance jokes as Adelaide looks at him with wide eyes.
"Ew gross, never say that again, ever again," she warns him.
"What? It's true," he laughs.
"Still, no."
"So you two are over then?" he questions again.
"Hm, it was good while it lasted. But we're better off as friends. No bad blood cause I know he had good intentions but he never really understood how my mind works," she replies and Torrance nods in understanding.
"You know who gets it, though?" he asks rhetorically.
"Ugh, not now, Torr. Too soon for you to pitch a new guy," she groans in frustration.
"Not a new guy."
"Who?" Adelaide asks, suddenly interested to know.
"Hm, no I think I'll let him break the news to you instead," Torrance smirks.
"What? You can't do that! You can't leave me on a cliffhanger!" Adelaide whines as Torrance laughs.
"No, seriously. It's not my place to tell you."
"You're making all this up, aren't you? I just know you are," Adelaide accuses as Torrance holds his hands up in mock-surrender and the two walk back to the living room.
"All good?" Alyssa asks as they join the rest of the group.
"Yep, your therapist boyfriend fixed me. You guys can relax now," Adelaide jokes as the others laugh.
"Girl, if he's your therapist, I think I should be more concerned," Alyssa jokes along as Torrance makes an offended face.
"I don't like when you two team up on me," he whines.
"That's what we always do, Torr. Learn to live with it," Adelaide says and Alyssa nods.
"We should let her rest, you know," Alyssa then tells Torrance.
"And you two need to rest before the jetlag kicks in," Adelaide remind them as they hug and say goodbye before leaving as well.
"Who's feeling in need of a girl's night?" Candice then asks.
"Ugh, not today. I need sleep," Adelaide groans, "lots of it. Feel free to crash anywhere. Bye." she informs before walking back to her room and drifting off to sleep as multiple thoughts overtake her mind.
Was she making the right decision letting go of Toby? Will they still be able to stay friends? Will things be awkward? Who was the mystery guy Torrance was talking about? Was it a joke or was it real? And most of all, she wondered why she didn't feel as bothered as she'd expected to feel about this entire situation. Why didn't it bother her that Toby could've cheated on her, even though he didn't, technically. Why didn't she feel as heartbroken about the forthcoming breakup as she should? What was wrong with her?
