The three months of shooting went by in the blink of an eye for the cast of Reign. And before anyone knew it, it was already time to fly back to California and attend Comic Con season. Adelaide was currently on her flight back home, accompanied by her co-star Torrance Coombs and his significant other.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, if you look outside your windows, you will see the beautiful outline of bustling LA become clearer as we approach our destination of The Los Angeles International Airport. The weather outside is clear at 11 in the morning and we will be landing within half an hour. I hope you've enjoyed your flight and thank you for choosing to fly with us," the passengers hear the pilot announce over the flight speakers.

Adelaide immediately leans over her window seat to look around and for sure, she could spot the bustling LA traffic in lines of non-stop light along the way.

"Someone's happy to be back," Torrance teases over her shoulder as she turns around to face him.

"I've missed my friends, okay? Not all of us travel with our lovers," Addy teases back.

"I didn't know you had a lover," Torrance catches on with a raised brow.

"I don't...but it's not like they'd travel with me even if I did," Addy retorts.

"Hey, you need a ride home or is someone meeting you?" Torrance asks after a while, when the pilot announces they'll be landing soon.

"Rachel is meeting me so I should be fine," Adelaide answers, "oh, and before I forget, there's a party at my place after the Comic Con panel Saturday and you're coming. No excuses. I already convinced Toby too, you guys need to meet my other friends!" she tells him excitedly.

"Of course Toby said yes," Torrance teases then, "man's whipped over you."

"Is not!" Adelaide nudges him, "stop making this weird, okay? We're just friends."

"Hm sure, that's what you say now but we'll see," Torrance smirks as the plane lands and slowly comes to a stop.

Due to being in Business Class, Adelaide, Torrance and their company are let out of the flight first. Soon after finishing immigration, Adelaide rushes out to greet her best friend, whom she hadn't seen in over three months.

"Rachie!" she greets as she rushes to pull the woman into a bone-crushing hug.

"Addy, finally! I've been waiting for three hours," Rachel complains, "bloody hell, woman, how much stuff did you take with you?"

"Oh, most of these are gifts," Torrance chimes in, "hi, I'm Torrance Coombs. Addy's costar on the show."

"Rachel Skarsten, Addy's best friend. It's nice to finally get to meet you. She's talk about you and Toby all the time, over calls," Rachel reveals, causing Adelaide to nudge her.

"Only good things I hope," Torrance jokes.

"Only the best!" Addy reassures.

"Right, well we should head home. It was a long flight and not all of us can sleep through it," he says while eyeing Adelaide with a smirk, "it was nice meeting you, Rachel."

Adelaide rolls her eyes at him, "don't be jealous that I can sleep peacefully on flights. It's one of my many talents," she jokes, "and don't forget about the party!" she warns him as they hug goodbye and part ways for the first time in three months.

"So where to now?" Adelaide asks as they stuff her three luggage into the car's trunk and backseat.

"Home?" Rachel says in a 'duh' tone, causing Addy to frown.

"Wrong! To get coffee, is the correct answer," she instructs as they begin driving out of the airport and towards their next destination.

"Where was Toby? I wanted to meet the guy," Rachel inquires as they continue to drive.

"He's playing in two days later. Didn't finish filming," Adelaide shrugs as she taps away on her phone.

"You haven't landed two minutes and someone's already texting you?" Rachel groans in annoyance.

"It's Ben! I was inviting him to the party and seeing when we could meet," Adelaide informs her.

"Right, cause the guy's been pining for you for months now," Rachel teases, causing Adelaide to playfully shove her.

"What? It's true and you know it. He's totally got the hots for you and now you won't shut up about Toby on the groupchat so he's gotta up his game, after all," Rachel goes on.

"He doesn't 'have the hots' for me," Adelaide mocks as they park outside a coffee store, "and you guys need to stop shipping me with every guy I'm friends with."

"You order, I'll get us a table," Rachel instructs and walks away.

After ordering, Adelaide returns to their table to see Rachel on Facetime with someone.

"Hey Pheebs!" Adelaide greets as she catches her best friend, Phoebe Tonkin's face flash through the call.

"Addy, you're back! Finally, I've been waiting for months, quite literally. When can I come see you guys?" Phoebe quizzes through the call.

"Not today, please. The jetlag is kicking in," Adelaide groans, "let's just get the drinks and leave, please."

"Fine, you're no fun," Rachel shrugs as they get their orders and drive back to Adelaide's LA house, all while staying on the call with Phoebe.

"Pheebs, we're here. I'll call you later. Bye, love you!" Adelaide greets before hanging up the call and opening the main door to her house. She rushes in and immediately throws herself onto her couch, leaving all the baggage by the door.

"Sure, leave all the bags for me to carry, why don't you?" Rachel complains as she drags the luggage in and shuts the door behind her.

"I'm so happy to be home," Adelaide comments after a while, "I mean, filming in Toronto is fun and all but I got so homesick. I missed the TVD sets so much too. And I missed you, Seb, Ben and Phoebe. Ugh, so good to be back."

"Yeah we're happy you're back too," Rachel replies, "now freshen up. Let's watch a movie afterwards, to fight off the jetlag!"

And that's exactly what the best friends did. There was nothing some popcorn, bad TV and gossip couldn't solve.
