Once upon a time, there was a group of seven kids. Just a completely normal friend group, who then happened to end up in one of those wrong place at the wrong time scenarios. As they explored the old forest surrounding their town a normal thursday afternoon, they somehow ended up decades, centuries even, in the past. They did everything in their mortal power to get back to the 21st century, but it wasn't enough.

After surviving on their own for way too long for these regular city kids, a stranger came up to them and told them that they could help them get back to their own time. Of course, the group excitedly agreed, and ended up helping the stranger in exchange for the secret of how they'd get back. But they were tricked. They were turned into vampires, and with their new immortal forms they couldn't enter the magical lake which would send them forward in time. 

They tried to move on, but the challenges that came with being literal vampries made it harder. They couldn't be in the sun, they couldn't enjoy the same foods they'd previously loved, and, most annoying of all, they couldn't stay in the same place for too long. They despised it, and hated the stranger for doing this to them. As the years went on they discovered the positives of their new lives, and eventually they were back in the now. Still they search for the stranger.
