Thank you so much if you are still reading this! I actually came up with this short story when I was around 14. I wrote it down on paper, and a few months ago, I found the old story! I added some more details, and wrote other subjects into the work.

The old names were Mary and Jane (Creative, Huh?), but instead I added the names Vanya and Ellen. Instead, I made Vanya (The Character in the game) wearing blue Mary Janes. I picked Vanya, which was inspired by Vanya from the Netflix show The Umbrella Academy. I dunno where I got Ellen or Emily (The girl at the arcade). 

I tried to foreshadow the story. The faint smell of air fresheners of roses in the arcade was a hint to how important roses are in the game Emily plays. For anyone confused, I can explain. Emily is a young girl who often visits the arcade. One day she plays a game where she is a character, Vanya. Vanya in the game must find a way out of the woods by going into the witches house. Or that's what we though. Vanya actually switched bodies with the real Vanya, who is trapped in Ellen's body. Confusing? 

Fake Vanya has switched bodies because, there was no cure to her illness which was killing her. The Majo (the made up magical being, or mage in japan) gave Ellen a spell which would let her switch bodies with someone who is willing to do that.

Vanya and Ellen were friends but Ellen in her body then begs real Vanya to let Ellen be in Vanya's body for a day. Vanya agreed, being the kind girl she is, but when Ellen gets Vanya's body, she doesn't want to give it back. Before the spell casted, Ellen who was still in her own body, she cut off her legs and plucked out her own eyes so when Vanya gets switched into Ellen's weak body, she's helpless.

Ellen, now in Vanya's body runs away with it, escaping and to live on. Sadly, Ellen does not have her magical powers. Real Vanya does. Ellen in Vanya's body now notices that Vanya has trapped Ellen in the forest, with no escape. Ellen has no choice but to go back to the magical house, where a vengeful Vanya is waiting, hoping to get her body back.

Ellen planned on tiring Vanya out, and hoping to kill her in her frail state, magical powers barely keeping her alive. By the time the two give chase, Ellen still in Vanya's body cries out to her father, and Vanya's father shoots Ellen's body, not noticing that she was her true daughter.

But imagine if you were Vanya stuck in Ellen's body? You were trying your best to get your body back and the next thing you know, your own father doesn't know your you and he has a gun pointed to you! And how was Vanya's father supposed to know? For all he knew, he was saving his DAUGHTER who was really Ellen in Vanya's body.

Oh my 14 year old brain loved complicating stories!
