[016 . A FEW MONTHS LATER ]

The events in Summerville had finally come to an end, and things began to settle back into a semblance of normalcy.

Jules had a lot of explaining to do to her mom, Cassandra, about her recent adventures.

Cassandra had her own explanations as well, particularly about the reappearance of the Ghostbusters and the strange happenings in their town.

Amid all this, something unexpected and wonderful began to blossom between Cassandra and Luke, the owner of Luke's Diner. They had started dating, and Jules couldn't be happier for them.

As for Jules and Trevor, their connection had only grown stronger through their shared experiences.

This afternoon  finds Jules at home in her room, lost in a book.

The world around her seemed quieter now, but a knock on her door broke the silence.

"Get dressed and quickly," Cassandra said, poking her head into the room with an air of excitement.

"Why?" Jules asked, puzzled, putting her book down.

"Just do it," Cassandra insisted with a mysterious smile.

With a sigh and a smile, Jules obeyed, changing into something nice. She barely finished when the doorbell rang. Cassandra, standing by the door, beamed, "Right on time!"

Jules hurried to the door and opened it to find Trevor standing there, holding a bouquet of roses. She was stunned.

"Thank you," she managed to say, taking the flowers.

Trevor grinned, "Let's go!"

"Where?" Jules asked, handing the flowers to her mom.

"You'll see," Trevor replied, taking her hand. "She'll be back before 11," he assured Cassandra, who smiled warmly at the young 'soon to be 'couple .

They walked hand in hand to Luke's Diner, the familiar and comforting atmosphere greeting them as they entered.

Luke, spotting them, gave a nod and a wink, already knowing their order.

They enjoyed their meal, laughing and talking about everything and nothing, the recent chaos now a distant memory.

Trevor led Jules to the beach, the cool breeze gently ruffling their hair.

They walked in comfortable silence until they reached a spot where the moonlight danced on the waves.

Trevor turned to face Jules, taking both her hands in his.

"Jules, I really like you," Trevor began, his voice soft and earnest. "From the moment I saw you when you came to great me and my family and at Spinners,and you made fun of my job application , when we kissed in the car , when you were jealous of lucky I really really do like you .

Jules blushed, her heart pounding. "Trevor, I..."

Trevor continued, "Through everything we've been through—the ghosts, the chaos—you were always there, and I realized I don't want to go through anything without you by my side. Jules, can I be your boyfriend .

Jules felt her mouth turn into a smile . She squeezed his hands and nodded.  " finally I was waiting for you to ask "

Trevor smiled broadly, his eyes shining with happiness. He leaned in, and their lips met in a tender kiss, sealing their newfound relationship.

The kiss ended, and they stood there for a moment, just holding each other close. The sound of the waves and the starry sky above made the moment feel almost magical.

Trevor pulled back slightly, still holding her close.

They arrived at Jules home , still hand in hand

Jules and Trevor exchanged one last kiss before she headed inside, her heart still racing from the night's events.

" I'll call you tomorrow?" Trevor said hopefully as Juliana unlocked the door

" well see new kid "she said smiling as she started closing the doorthe door

As Jules entered the living room to be greeted by her mom sipping a cup of coffee , Cassandra smiled. "Looks like you had a good time."

Jules nodded, her smile wide and her cheeks flushed. "It was amazing, Mom."

Cassandra hugged her daughter, feeling a sense of peace and happiness that had been missing for too long.

" you knew about this didn't you " Jules said smiling

" the boy asked me if he could as you to be his girlfriend practically begging , he's a good kid you know "

" ya mom - ya I do "

And as for Jules and Trevor, their journey together was just beginning, filled with promise and excitement for what lay ahead.
