the area where the survival show takes place. a nice building by a forest and close to a river, only a few hours in car away from the capital. it's precise location is not known as the performances are not held at the trainee's living grounds, for their safety.

ranking, voting, benefits, levels.

pt.1 — ★ RANKING

the rank of a trainee will be determined by the amount of points they have gathered. typically, the ranks will be displayed from highest to lowest.

these are the different ways your trainee can collect points: global and on-site voting results, admin activity points (which you'd earn for them through participating in missions, commenting and voting, answering polls, questions and activity checks.) and benefit points. after every evaluation, this will reset to zero for everyone.

the top 7 and top 3 from each evaluation will each get a select amount of bonus points for the final evaluation; top 7 trainees get 2 bonus points, and top 3 trainees get 5 bonus points. if a trainee places in the bottom 5 consistently (2 times or more) this will give them a bad score, which will remove what equals to 5 votes from them the next evaluation. (will be edited probably)

pt.2 — ★ VOTING

there are two different types of voting, the ON-SITE voting and the GLOBAL voting. admins are permitted to vote once per trainee they have in the show, plus one extra vote, but they can only vote for one of their own trainees in all of their votes.

on-site voting, also known as live voting, is mainly focused on the performances and benefits. it's when people are asked to vote for the best center, best leader and favourite performers out of the ones performing. it also includes any benefit points received after votings have closed. this will be held in the performance chapters, which will be marked.

global voting is basically the overall voting happening on the show, and the admin activity points will be added to this. it's when people are asked to vote for their favourite trainees who are still in the show.

pt.3 — ★ BENEFITS

there are two ways for the trainees to gain benefit points. all of these will be gained by the on-site voting.

the first one of these is the center and leader benefit. when a center or leader wins during a battle of the on-site evaluations, everyone in their group, of course including the winner themselves, will receive benefit points. the center or leader will of course get the most, but it will be pretty even

the second is the group benefit. when a group wins this everyone in that group will receive 50,000 benefit points. group points are determined by the individual scores within each group from the on-site voting form.

ᯓ ☆ CONCEPT !!

in where twenty five (or more, or less) trainees are sent to live in the magical starlight universe for three months, of course having days off – it's no prison after all. after each performance that'll be put together by these hardworking trainees there'll be an evaluation, and nearly every evaluation will have eliminations and sad goodbyes. in the final episode there'll be a mass elimination and a final line-up of rising stars.

casting for the officially show began in January of 2023, and it was finalised in May of 2024, which was about 2 months before it's premiere on August 28th, 2024. The show is set to air new episodes until late November, 2024, and the final group is said to debut in early 2025.

ᯓ ☆ VIDEO GAMES !!

The official game, titled BY VIRTUE OF THE STARS or 별의 미덕 (tr: stars virtue), is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025. The storyboarding and planning for this game began in 2019, and after the several teasers released since 2021 the gaming world has been on edge waiting for the video game. It's understandable that even non-kpop fans have interest in the survival show.

The creative team behind the survival show and the team behind the game share certain staff and have regular communication, and it has been confirmed that the show and game will take place in the same world, will have the same world-building, and both the show and final line-up will share certain lore with the to-be-released game.

Six of the actors behind some of the notable in-game characters — Geumie, Haoran, Juliette, Anton, and Minjae — five of which also being kpop idols, will even have a certain part in the survival show; such as short films, and even host or mentor roles. 

In 2023 a pixel video game titled STARDOM QUEST or 별의 탐구 (tr: stars quest) was released as a sort of teaser for the anticipated game. It, too, exists in the same world as project: reach the stars and by virtue of the stars.  It was released as a rather cheap to create preview of it's sister game, loosely having the same starting point and having a lot of the same cast of characters, and originally it was just going to be a tutorial and one chapter, with some puzzles and introductions to the cast.

But it was loved like crazy by gamers all over the world, with some people even calling it a cousin of Undertale. Because of this, a new team was created to handle the game and it got several, free to previous owners of the game, updates with new chapters as the months went on. 

The final chapter was released in September of 2024, and in November of 2024, a dlc titled REACH THE STARS was released. It really was just a short special chapter where you'd meet all the participants and cast of the survival show with puzzles and story parts.
