With a sharp jaw line, a lethal grin and eyes the color of the darkest nights, there was little that was average about him. Upon being brainwashed by the underground organization Hydra, he became lethal in a different type of way. His bottomless eyes have become cold and calculating. The way he moves mechanical and threatening. The warmth and charisma he radiated is utterly gone.

Moreover, he often wears leather gloves which make sure that no evidence is left behind on the crime scene. Almost all of his clothes, including his more comfortable ones, have the hydra symbol on them.

He was the type of guy that protected the weak, putting himself in danger if he had to. Even though he wasn't close with many people, he was generally well liked and respected, especially since he was the type of guy you would go to when you needed help. He was the type of leader you wanted to follow, seeing the soldiers under his command not as numbers, but people. Able to see the slightest changes in his surroundings or a persons behavior, he could either react accordingly or pretend like he didn't notice. Though he was always willing to help others, he never pushed anyone to accept it, giving people the space they needed. Above all he saw integrity as one of the most important things anyone could have, and was quick to distance himself from those he thought had none. Despite the fact that he did kill for his country, the lives he took lay heavy on his coincidence and continued to do so up to the point where his memory was wiped. Ever since then, with no sense of identity, all he has done is follow orders. Hydra broke him. Where once life and warmth could be found all that remains is a cold and ruthless persona, a marionette if you will. All he knows is that whenever an order is given he has to follow it, knows that a failed mission results in punishment, a wrong word spoken in his memories being wiped. Even though throughout the decades there have been moments where he has started to remember who he is, Hydra always makes sure that it doesn't stay that way for long. As Hydra's Blackbird, he has to be brutal and ruthless with an utter lack of conscience. All he has known for decades is the fight between his true self and the version Hydra wants him to be.

ＰＥＲＳＯＮＡＬ ＬＩＦＥ

𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 ↳ Christian was born to the two German lower middle class citizens Peter and Marianne Brandt. The oldest of four, he'd grow up to be the most responsible one out of his siblings, doing anything to help his family. When his father was enlisted in the military towards the end of WW1, he and his mother had to to work the field in order to keep them from starving. He'd been seven at the time. Even though his father survived the war, he came back disabled. Just like his father lost his ability to see to mustard gas, Germany lost the war to the allied forces. Both events had devastating effects on the Brandt family. He and his next oldest brother, John, had to be taken out of school to work the fields, while Marianne took care of her husband and her two other children. Salvation came in the form of his mother's brother Martin. Uncle Martin, a patriot at heart, despised Christian's father for his foreign roots, but loved his sister enough to keep her and her family from suffering. He send them money, enough to hire people to work the fields for them so that Chris and his siblings could go to school again. From time to time he would come to visit, and soon enough he noticed Christians potential. Even though his father initially didn't want to let his son go and live with his uncle, Peter knew they were dependent on Martin's generosity. So it was that his uncle took him with him to be tutored by a private teacher and be taught various of other skills, the basics of weapon usage being one of them. Why, the boy didn't know. Over the years his uncle and him grew close. Once his father died, the rest of his family moved in with them, for it had been Peters pride that had prevented that before. Martin started to have Christians other siblings be tutored as well. His sister excelled in anything medical related and would later become a nurse. At the age of twenty Christian was accepted into the German military and during the German naval rearmament in the 1930s he managed to make a name for himself, quickly climbing up the career ladder with the help of his uncles connections. On the first  of September of the year 1939, WW2 started and his brothers who hadn't been in the military before, were among the first to volunteer as soldiers. Viktor, his youngest brother died within the first six months. John was shot in the leg and had to have it amputated. During the war Christian worked on the Tirpitz as an officer under Admiral Weber until he got the order to return. 1942 he was put in charge of one of the newly created units specialized on combat diving. Two years later, after many successful missions, his uncle pulled some strings and suggested he join a highly secretive operation called Blackbird that wanted to recreate the super soldier serum of the Americans. Even though Christian initially refused, set on continuing to work with his men, news of something terrible having happened to his sister changed his mind. Charlotte had been raped and then killed by Russian soldiers. Out of the fifty participants that were injected the recreated version of Armin Zola's super soldier serum, he was the only one that survived. For a time they had him fight on battlefields in Russia, as a test of sorts to see what he was capable of. Up to the point the war ended Christian was loyal to Hydra. In his eyes to serve them was to serve his country. But when they wouldn't let him leave after Germany officially lost the war, things got pretty ugly pretty fast. He caught wind of what the Hydra soviet wing was doing to an American soldier who was like him. Even though the 'winter soldier' as they called him wasn't German, Christian attempted to rescue him or at least put him out of his misery. The mission backfired and ended with him tasered on the floor, surrounded by over 50 highly trained soldiers. Turns out Hydra, more specifically his uncle, had expected a move like this, had planned for it. Hours later he found himself being tied to a chair, connected to what Hydra's scientists referred to as a memory suppressing machine. They did to him what they did to the American: have him forget his home, his family, his name. They wiped his memory, gave him trigger words and turned him into a puppet. He was sent on dozens and dozens of missions, some of which included capturing or alternately killing mutants. On one of these he found out that he himself was one. His ability was to make others unable to use their own. When he reported what he could do to his superior officers, one of which was Martin, they concluded that that was the reason why he had been the only one that survived the injection of the serum. Moreover, they stated that his power had been unknown for so long because he hadn't been in contact with mutants before, and therefore couldn't have found out sooner.

ＯＴＨＥＲ ＩＮＦＯ

𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 / 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 ✧ Born in the year 1912, there is little left of what he used to like. No one wears heads anymore, chews chewing tobacco or learns how to dance. The genre of music he used to listen to, jazz and songs of Gene Austin, aren't being played anymore. Though he didn't have much opportunity to listen to music in the last seventy years, the times he did hear songs of the modern era, he felt like his ears were being assaulted. While there is not much to enjoy during his missions, Christian does cherish every minute he gets to be near the ocean or any larger body of water. Hearing the flowing of a river or the crashing of the waves gives his mind the opportunity to calm down, even if it's just for a short moment.

𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬 ✧ Due to his history of being a combat diver Christian is an extraordinary fighter under water and can easily hold his breath for up to 6 minutes without any equipment. Moreover, he is a really fast swimmer and has incredible stamina. Hydra considers him to be one of their best instructors. Even though his teaching methods can be considered harsh, they are effective a 100% of the time. He trained some of the best agents Hydra has. Highly observant, he can pick up on the smallest mistake and therefore help his trainees correct them. This ability to notice things has also helped him win many fights. Another strength of his is that he is highly organized. Last but not least, Christian is able to speak over seven languages fluently without an obvious accent.

Unable to drive a car, he either has to use a motorcycle or have someone else drive him. Even though he has been alive for over a hundred years there are a lot of things he doesn't know about "the normal way of living". This is because he lives pretty isolated with no connection to the outside world. Due to the fact that Hydra regularly wipes his memory to continue to use him as a weapon, he has become extremely mentally unstable. Even if he did manage to get free of Hydras control over him, he would still have to fear being used as a weapon, as simply using the trigger words could turn him into a marionette.

𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 ✧ Trypanophobia - This is defined as an extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections or needles. He's had that fear ever since he was ten. Even though he has overcome it ( for the most part ), needles still make him nervous.
Electrophobia -This is the fear of electricity. The cause of his electrophobia is Hydras frequent usage of a Memory Suppressing Machine, which uses electroconvulsive therapy to erase his memories and remold them to their liking.

𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 ✧ Eating too fast. Moving with a sense of purpose for things that don't warrant it. Keeping his appearance tight. Waking up at 5 am. Knowing where all the exits are. Picking up his feet when he walks. Being obsessively organized. Clenching his jaw or fists. Making his bed. Training 4 - 8 hours a day.

𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 ✧ he's left handed but learned how to use his right hand equally well.
