~Shutting it off & Gozer

The next day, Charli's still missing and Egon's getting more and more worried but he tried to bury it by doing more test on Louis until Janine ran downstairs "Egon, I tried to stop them! He says they have a warrant." Janine said to him. Walter Peck come downstaris with the police and a construction man.

"Excuse me, this is private property!" Egon said to him.

"Shut this off, shut these all off." Walter said pointing to the equipment, Egon's already stressed from Charli's disappearance he doesn't need more from Walter Peck. "I'm warning you, turning off these machines would be extremely hazardous." He warned him.

"I'll tell you what's hazardous," he said to him, "You're facing federal prosecution for at least half a dozen environmental violations. Now either you shut these beams off or we shut them off for you." He explained to Egon who's shielding the ghost containment with Louis and Janine behind him.

"Try to understand, this is a high voltage laser containment system. Simply turning it off would be like dropping a bomb on the city!" he explained to him.

"Don't patronize me! I'm not grotesquely stupid like the people you bilk!"

"At ease, officer. I'm Peter Venkman. I think there's just been a slight misunderstanding and I wanna to cooperate in any way that I can." Peter said to Walter.

After a minute of arguing, Walter manages to shut down the ghost containment. Red lights and alarms starts going off, Egon grabbed Janine's hand and ran off with Peter and the others right behind them. The explosion cause a hole in the ceiling of the Firehouse, pink strams of psychokinetic energy zaps out. "This is the sign!" Louis said in awe.

"Yeah it's a sign all right, we're going out of business." Janine said holding up her hand to her face.

Ecto-1 pull up with the police surrounding the Firehouse, Camila was the first to get out of the Ecto-1 "Egon, what happen?" she ask him. "The storage facilities blew, He shut off the protection grid." he explained to Camila, "Great." she mutter and starts looking around for her sister, "That's bad, isn't it?" Winston ask.

"Yeah." Ray replied.

"Egon, where's Charli?" Camila ask him, Egon became silent. He'd knew that Camila would ask that question, he didn't have the heart to answer her. "Okay, Camila. I want you to not to freak out but, she's been missing since last night." Peter said to her.

"What!?!" She yelled out.

"Wait she's missing?" Ray ask, Egon nodded. Camila put both of her hands to her forehead while pacing back and fourth, "Where's the Keymaster?" Peter ask Egon.

"Oh, shit." Egon said looking to see Louis is long gone.

"Who's the Keymaster?" both Ray and Camila said in unison, Egon ran off to look for him with the others right behind him until they're stopped by Walter. "Hold it! I want this man arrested." Walter said pointing at Peter.

"Captain, these people are in criminal violation of the Environmental Protection Act," Walter explained to the police captain.

"Tough shit, Asshole! My sister is missing and all you cared about is this!?!?" Camila yelled while gesturing at the Firehouse.

"Yes, and this explosion is a direct result of it!" Walter said.

"Your mother!" Egon yelled while lunging at him for the neck, while the other Ghostbusters tried to stop him. The police broke the fight and arrested them, leaving New York in a desolation of the supernatural activity.

{Lesson learned: Don't piss off Egon or Camila}

"Good job, Egon. I hope your proud!" Camila said while leaning against the bars with one foot on it while her arms are crossed.

"Give him a break, Camila." Peter said leaning in the same position as her, "I mean his girlfriend has been missing for 15 hours now." Egon blushed a little when Peter said that utter word "Girlfriend"

He cleared his throat and focus on the blueprint of the apartment building that him and Ray are focusing on, "The structure of this roof cap is exactly like the kind of telemetry tracker that NASA uses to identify dead pulsars in deep space." He explained.

"Cold riveted girders with cores of pure selenium." Ray said, Camila walk over to them and focused on the blueprint as well. "No, nobody ever made them like this," she said pointing at the blueprint, "The architect was either a certified genius or an aesthetic wacko!" Ray chuckled at the last part she said.

"Guys, for a moment, pretend that I don't know anything about metallurgy, engineering or physics and just tell me what the hell is going on." Peter said sarcastically.

"Well in Charli's words, "You never studied" ." Ray said making quotation marks using his fingers, "The whole building is a huge super-conductive antenna that was designed and built expressly for the purpose of pulling in and concentrating spiritual turbulence. Your girlfriend, Pete, lives in the corner penthouse of Spook Central." he explained.

Peter sighed "She's not my girlfriend. I find her interesting because she's a client and because she sleeps above her covers. Four feet above her covers! She barks, she drools, she claws..." He trailed off for a moment.

"It's not the girl, Peter, it's the building! Something terrible is about the enter our world and this building is obviously the door. The architect's name was Ivo Shandor, I found it in Tobin's Spirit Guide. He was also a doctor, performed a lot of unnecessary surgery. And then in 1920 he founded a secret society." Egon explained now raising his voice.

"Let me guess, Gozer worshippers." Peter said.

"Right."

"No studying."

"After the First World War, Shandor decided that society was too sick to survive. And he wasn't alone. he had close to a thousand followers when he died. They conducted rituals up on the roof, bizarre rituals intended to bring about the end of the world, and now it looks like it may actually happen!"

"One question still remains, why the hell does Gozer want with my sister?" Camila ask now putting both of her hands on the table.

"Well, before the line disconnected I heard a voice said "Chosen one." I did some reading in Tobins Spirit Guide and found only one thing "Clarimond" its a protector of Gozer and shapeshifter, it sometimes take a form of a wolf and searches for someone to possess. That might've explained why it went after Charli." Egon explained.

"That explains the nightmares." Camila mutter under her breath, Egon manages the catch the last word. "What nightmares?" Egon ask frantically.

Camila sighed and explained "Two weeks ago, Charli would wake up in the middle of the night. She said that she sees a wolf like creature chasing her and tried to get her, it gets bad every night that she's thinking of staying the night with you, Egon." the boys look at her then at one another.

The whole Ghostbusters became silent until the Jail guard came towards them, "Okay, Ghostbusters! The mayor wants to see you guys. The whole island's going crazy! Let's go." The gate open as the five left the cell and went to the Mayor's office.

The Ghostbusters went into the Mayor's office, "The Ghostbusters are here, Mr. Mayor." The Mayor's aide said to him. "The Ghostbusters, all right, the Ghostbusters. Hey, where's this Peck?" he demanded.

Walter walk towards the Mayor while pushing both Ray and Camila who glared at him with disgust. "I am Walter Peck, sir, and I'm prepared to make a full report," Walter said to the Mayor, "These people are consummate snowball artists! They use sensitive nerve gases to induce hallucinations. People think they're seeing ghosts! And they call these bozos, who conveniently show up to deal with the problem with a fake electronic light show!" He explained.

"Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here." Ray said looking at Peck.

"They caused an explosion." Walter said staring daggers at The Ghostbusters.

They Mayor look at The Ghostbusters "Is this true?"

"Yes your honor," Peter said looking at Peck with a side-eye "This man has no dick." Peck then lunges at Peter, the police manages to break up the small fight. "This is City Hall! Now what am I gonna do here, John?" The mayor ask, turning to the fire commissioner.

"All I know is: that was no light show we saw this morning. I've seen every kind of combustion known to man, but this beats the hell out of me." John said.

"The walls in the 53rd precinct were bleeding. How do you explain that?" The Police commissioner said. Then the Archbishop enter the door, "Good afternoon, boys and girl." he said.

"Oh. Your Eminence!" The mayor said getting up and kiss the Archbishop's ring, which earned a rose eyebrow from Camila. "How are you, Lenny?" he ask The Mayor. "You're looking good, Mike." The mayor said to Archbishop giving him a slap on the back, "We're in a real fix, here. What do you think I should do?" he ask.

"Lenny, officially, the Church will not take any position on the religious implications of these phenomena. Personally, Lenny, I think it's a sign from God. But don't quote me on that." he explained while sitting down.

"I think that's a smart move, Mike. But I'm not gonna call a press conference and tell everyone to start praying." The Mayor said before sitting back on his desk.

Winston cleared his throat and walking up to The Mayor's desk, "I'm Winston Zeddemore, Your Honor. Look, I've only been with the company for a couple of weeks. But I gotta tell you, these things are real. Since I joined these people, I've seen shit that'll turn you white!" He explained to The Mayor.

Peter walk up to the Mayor, "Well, you could believe Mr. Pecker." he misspelled his name on purpose while smirking.

"My name is Peck!" He snapped out.

"Or you could accept the fact that this city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions." Peter said, "What do you mean, biblical?" The mayor ask.

"What he means is Old Testament biblical, Mr. Mayor. Real wrath of God-type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling!" Ray said.

"Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes! Volcanoes!" Egon joined in.

"The dead rising from the grave!" Camila and Winston chimed in unison.

"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria!" Peter exclaimed.

"Enough! I get the point! What if you're wrong?" The Mayor ask, "If I'm wrong, nothing happens! We go to jail. Peacefully, quietly. We'll enjoy it! But if I'm right, and we can stop this thing; Lenny, you will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters." Peter explained to the Mayor who smiled and nodded.

"I don't believe you're seriously considering listening to these fools!" He said to the Mayor who dismissed him, Peter waved him goodbye while Camila flipped him off.

The Mayor then notice that the second girl wasn't there, "Wait a minute, wasn't there another girl the smaller one?" he ask Camila who nodded and look at Egon. Egon sighed and step up to the Mayor, "She's been missing for twenty two hours now, we don't know what happen or where she's is." he said with slight worry in his tone of his voice.

"Well, I hope you find her soon. Now, you've got work to do." He dismisses softly, the Ghostbusters went out and started to get ready.

Once The Ghostbusters are ready with the help of the Police help escort them to the apartment building, once Camila got inside the Ecto-1 she saw Egon staring a coin that Janine gave him for luck. She know that he's thinking of Charli and hoping to bring her back safety "Hey," she said to him, he turns and look at her.

She then put a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "we'll find her, try not to worry as much." she said to him. He smile and nodded, he turn his attention back on the coin.

The Ecto-1 drove off to the apartment building for a final showdown with Gozer and the safe return of Charli.
