A/N: Charli's new look

~Five years later

Five years has passed since the incident with Gozer, The Ghostbusters  disbanded after property damage and barred from investigating the  supernatural. Ray Stantz and Camila Lopez now owns an occult bookstore  and works a side job alongside Winston Zeddemore, Peter Venkman hosts a  television talk show.

As  for Charli Lopez and Egon Spengler, the two are now dating. Egon works  in a laboratory experimenting with human emotions, Charli works as a  History teacher in Columbia university (with little help of her boyfriend of course).

"Can someone tell me, What was the revolution was known as?" Charli ask her students, one girl with dark brown hair raises her hand. Charli look at Aj a student who's struggling in her class, asleep on his desk. She sighed and knock on his desk, he woke up and look at Charli who lean on her desk "Aj, do you know the answer?" she ask him.

"I know the answer, Miss Lopez" the girl said.

"I know Jessica, you answer at least three of my questions. I'm asking Aj this time." Charli said to her, she then looks at Aj who look at her confused. She nodded at him "U.S. War of Independence?" he ask.

"Correct." she said to him.

after a few lesson in the bell rung as the other students left, Charli grabbed a book and walk towards the institute where Dr. Egon Spengler's at. When she walks in, she look around for but he's nowhere to be seen. Must be talking to his assistance she thought to herself, she leaned back at his desk and start reading.

Few minutes later, Charli jumped when she felt something touch her shoulder. She turns to see Egon smiling at her, "Geez, you scared me." she said while leaning in for a small kiss. "What do I owe the pleasure, Miss Lopez?" he ask his girlfriend, while picking up his clipboard from his desk.

She chuckled and explained "Well, I am off for the day, so I thought I check on my favorite scientist and see hows he doing." he chuckled as he walk around the lab "I'm still working on  human emotions actually affect the physical environment," he explained.

"Oh, hows it going?" she ask.

"Making some progress, Dana  was also here." He said nonchalantly.

"Really, what happen?"

"Oscar's carriage went down 1st avenue in the middle of traffic," He heard Charli gasped at the sound of what just happen to poor Dana, he put a reassuring hand on her left arm "don't worry he's alright. I'm thinking of bring Ray and your sister into this," He said while removing a piece of her hair from her face. Charli nodded, "Alright." She said.

"I also wanna bring you along, but I didn't want you to be traumatize you after the Gozer incident." he said with a slight worry in his voice.

Charli scoff "Don't worry about me, I'm fine."

Egon gave her the look, the look Egon gave her is when he lower his glasses and rose his right eyebrow. Oh god not the look she thought to herself, "Are you sure?" He ask her. She nods "of course, sure I was not feeling like myself a  day after the Gozer incident?"

"Like yourself? Charli you were pale and we have to use an IV on you." He informed her, she sigh at the remembrance of what happen to her. "Yeah I know." She said, Egon remove his hand from her arm and put it on her face and gently stroke it using his thumb "I just wanna make sure that you'll be okay." He softly said to her.

"I know, and I wanna thank you for that. Like I said before Egon, I'll be fine." she said while putting a hand on top of his, he smiled and lean into her lips no matter how many times he kissed that girl. It felt like their fist kissed all over again.

He broke the kiss and said "I told Ray and your sister that I'll meet  him at his store, you wanna come?" She nodded and follow him outta the institute and towards Ray's Occult Books.
