"Okay now we just have to figure out something to do, unless you wanna just stay here all day?" Bri questioned. It was important to see what he wanted to do, or what he was most comfortable with.

"Yeah no.." he mumbled. Kazu definitely didn't want to stay at the school, he'd rather go out and do something fun— get to know his partner for the next 4 years some more.

Bri giggled at his response, she didn't really want to stay here either. The campus was fun but also boring, there was nothing to do here.

"Okay I think I have a plan! Tell me if it's too much though," She trailed off and he nodded. "First we can go to this bomb seafood boil place, then we're gonna hit up crumbl cookie, go see a scary movie, anddd then look for halloween costumes?"

She looked at him for any sign of discomfort but he seemed perfectly fine with everything. "My treat on everything too! Don't worry about anything, just let me make your first day in Baltimore fun,"

His face dropped at that, no way he was letting her pay for everything. That's just not the type of person he was, "Nah definitely not your treat. Don't waste your money on me,"

She smiled, "too bad I'm still doing it, now let's go!" Bri's energetic side was coming out and Kazu couldn't help but find it cute.

The smile she wore was so contagious he found himself grinning along with her. "Still not letting you pay though, get used to it."

The first stop was food, which would probably take the longest. Bri planned on taking him to Crafty Crab, her favorite seafood place of all time. She found out a few things about him, like his favorite color, favorite type of music, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

The two had a bunch of things in common already. Their music tastes were somewhat the same, and they liked most of the same things.

"Oh my gosh, what do you know about Deftones?!" Bri snapped her head toward his, she let him have the aux and clearly it was a good idea. Now they had even more to talk about!

Kazu chuckled lowly, leaning his head back against the seat. "Bet you I know more than you," he cockily inquired while peaking over at her.

"Boy.. don't get me riled up," she jokingly warned him before a comforting silence fell over the two.

It wasn't as awkward anymore and she could tell Kazu was opening up more. She'd be lying if she said it didn't make her happy— as long as he felt comfortable with her then she was doing something right.

"You smoke?" The man randomly asked as he fiddled with his rings. "If you do I got an idea."

Bri hummed, "uh yeah occasionally I do! Why, what's your idea?"

He gave her a small glance before replying. "What if we take our food to go and instead of going to the movies, we go to the beach and smoke or something?"

She thought about it for a while and it really wasn't a bad idea. It sounded like fun, and they'd have more time to get to know each other better. Plus, she had extra blankets in her car for emergencies.

"I knew I'd like you, you're a goddamn genius!"

Kazu held the blankets along with his bag as Bri trailed behind him, her laptop and the food in hand. It was around sunset so they had plenty of time to hangout before heading back to campus.

"Now we have to pick a spot with the best view," Bri mumbled, looking around the empty shore. She decided to come to the most vacant beach so it could be a little more quiet and peaceful.

"What about over there?" Kazu pointed to a spot in the middle, with a perfect view of the setting sun. "Fuck yes!"

When he finish laying the huge blanket out, she wasted no time plopping down. There were mini pillows wrapped inside the comforter as well as extra blankets, so they'd be more than comfortable if it got too cold.

"Y'know how to crack some crab or you need me to teach you?" She asked when he sat next to her, sliding the food in the middle.

They got the big seafood boil to share rather than getting individual ones, and of course Kazu didn't let her pay for a damn thing. He sneakily slid the cashier his card before Bri could even pull hers out, and that was that.

"Duh I know how to crack a crab girl," he kissed his teeth, chuckling lowly when she flicked him off.

"Let's smoke first," she suggested with her head tilted. "The food hits better when you're high." Kazu was quick to agree because she really wasn't wrong. When you're high everything tastes better.

He pulled out his bag, "I only have a cart right now, that's okay?" His eyes fell on hers, looking for any hint of annoyance but there was none.

"No that's perfect! I prefer carts and pens over actual blunts anyways, I have bad experiences with those.." Bri shook her head, taking a hit of the cart he passed her.

Kazu let his gaze drift to the sky, taking in the beauty of the sun and how it arose different shades of orange and pink.

"I get super talkative when I'm high, so you've been warned," Bri mumbled while passing the cart back to him once she had her fill.

Kazu only eyed her, "that's fine, I like hearing you talk." Smoke clouded the air around them as they both stared into the distance.

The sun had been gone for a while now but the moon was quick to take its place. Stars covered the sky, and all that could be heard was the background music from her laptop, and the soothing harmony of the waves.

"Kazu,"

His head perked up and he put his full attention on her. "What's up?"

"What do you think space is like?" The random thoughts in her head finally made their way to the surface.

Hopefully he didn't get too annoyed by her dumb questions, because this was only the begging.

"I think it's probably calming, surrounded by stars and different galaxies, planets too."

Bri laid down next to him— a little bit closer than intended but she didn't feel like moving again. Kazu didn't seem to mind it at all, instead he just wrapped a blanket over her. "Let's go to space one day?"

He gave her a small smile as he watched the moonlight dance over her pretty skin.

"Yeah, let's go to space."
